My husband and I decided to upgrade our boat so we went to the sales dept at Lynnhaven Marine. We found the sales staff great and they sold our boat in four days. We have had our boat at lynnhaven boatel for the last 3 years and have found the staff to be very professional, helpful and caring. The service department has done work for us upgrading features on the boat and they have also been great. We highly recommend Lynnhaven Marine and expect to have a continued relationship for many years.

I had Lynnhaven marine sell my boat for me. Unfortunately, I didn’t find value in the transaction. The boat sold in a few weeks but the fees to sell were exorbitant. Rather than working to get the best deal and then coming to me with the top dollar (what I was paying them for) they just came to me with every offer and expects me to agree or disagree. To me there was far more work involved in my part then there needed to be and lynnhaven didn’t care whether they made more money or not. Quite honestly, I suggest that if you are looking to sell look to Wright Marine in Chesapeake or sell on your own.

Sadly the staff try very hard, the dockhands, boatel staff and sales do a great job at helping customers, but are working for a business thats ultimate goal is to extort its customers. This is why I am not recommending Lynnhaven Marine.

Great customer service. Im new here and got off to a great start! I had a few issues with the service department that were resolved by the assistant GM. The boatel side is great. They work hard on busy summer weekends getting everyone in and out quickly.

We purchased our boat brand new, stored it in the boatel and even found a buyer for it at Lynnhaven. They provided excellent customer service every step of the way in every single dept and aspect of the business. We will definitely use them again should we decide to purchase another boat someday. I was a customer for over 10 years and they terminated my pre-paid lease because I showed my boat to a potential buyer. The termination letter that I received states that I was warned several times but that is not true. I did not know that showing by boat to a potential buyer was prohibited and after I was told on 3/2/19 I did not do it again. (apparently the lease agreement states this but I did not know). Over the ten + years that I was a customer I had 2 incidents of damage that they caused and they took care of the damage. My boat was covered in bird feces many times while stored there and they would clean that if I asked them to. There are a few great people that work there…Brandon and the guy with the dark hair and beard are 2 of them…however they have a monopoly and the leadership acts like it. Expect for fees to rise over time and be careful with the service dept. I spent around $50k with them and I got blindsided with a termination letter and never felt appreciated as a customer.

So I was told they were a mercury warranty service repair center . I called and explained that I had bought the motor from bass pro shops but was told that since I live closer to them I could bring it to them . The guy I talked to told me basically because I didn’t purchase it from them they would service it at their convenience. And even when I made it next in line I would be bumped back if another person needed service who had purchased from them . Needless to say I took it to bass pro . I wouldn’t use their services if it was the last place on earth.

Horrible experience. There goal is to take as much money they can from you And do as little they can.

For me the parts department has been A number 1 they help me patiently diagnose some problems with my outboard and supplied parts I need it at a fair price. I will always go to Lynnhaven Marine when I can.

Unfortunately, I didnt feel like I could trust the service department. They came up with an expensive repair that was not a problem when I brought it in. Despite hearing similar stories, I decided to try and have them do some minor repairs and they came back with issues that were not problems when the boat was dropped off. From defective batteries that they ran down and obviously didnt test to motors that they said had shorted out in the 1 day that I had left it there and needed replacement. Wish I could have relied on them as I had had good experience with the sales department and the boatel teams. UPDATE: I did get a call from someone at Lynnhaven Marine and after looking into the issue they had the mechanic contact me. He told me that there was a miscommunication and that the battery and motors were fine. So they did correct the error but I am not sure that it would have happened if I hadnt posted. I will update again if changes.

Was shopping for a new boat when I noticed they had a large service department, I inquired about bringing my old boat in to troubleshoot water getting into the oil. I dropped my boat off and they called me a week later and stated that they had found the problem and it would be $1000.00 to fix.I agreed to the repair. I picked up the boat and took it out for a run,SAME ISSUE. I called back and they said, bring it back in and well troubleshoot. I asked, will there be a fee? They said they would have to charge the regular rate. I said even though I just spent a thousand dollars on what you told me was the issue? They stated, Hey boats are expensive. Never again will I visit these scam artist.

Great place to store you boat and have it serviced. They take the time to diagnose the boat before just working on it and had me up and running again in 2 weeks. Cant beat that for in season.

They know how to handle your boat in the boatel. I have been connected with Lynnhaven Arena since 2002 when I bought my Trophy Pro from them and kept my boat in the marina. Top Notch boatel.

Special thank you to Business Manager Mike Henson. My father bought a boat from Lynnhaven Marine in Aug of 2015. It was his first boat bigger than a 14ft jon boat. ..it was his dream boat he decided to buy as his retirement gift. It was his 2nd retirement from the US ARMY, both as enlisted and as civilian. Saying he deserved it was an understatement. He unfortunately became ill right after purchasing the boat. He became so weak that he couldnt do things necessary to take the boat out, but he was just happy to sit inside of it. It was docked within walking distance of his home in Ft Monroe so he would do this often. In july of 2016, he passed away. I just wanted to let the staff over at Lynnhaven Marine know that he did nothing but say great things about you all. They took real good care of me were his exact words when talking to others. He loved his boat...it was his dream come true. It is now a family heirloom that will last forever. Again, special thank you to Business Manager Mike Henson who took the time out of his day to guide me on matters that come with boat/trailer paperwork brought about by the unfortunate passing of a loved one.

Purchased a 2007 Monterey 234FS and drove 9hrs to pick up and was told that they would close before we could get bought in water so they agreed to run bought and give details of its sea trial. when asked how it performed they said it ran perfected and topped out at 51mph. So we took boat home and put in water and on very good water conditions we only could get 39mph. after having boat looked at again all seemed ok boat its perforamnce. we feel they mislead us on boats performance and still can not come close to there claim on speed.Boat has had trim checked and speed test on GPS so not sure what is wrong.

Went with the family to ask questions about buying a boat. Despite knowing we were not ready to buy yet, we were treated as though we were about to sign for a yacht. I was very impressed with the courteous and patient way we were treated and as a result have decided that when we are ready to make this investment that we will buy from Lynnhaven.

Thought I bought a boat. After signing a contract and providing a deposit I was on my way down to pick the boat up I get a call saying the owner now wants more money??!!seems awfully shadyCertainly can not recommend these guys

So many rules. They would not sell my boat and they would not allow me to show it. So I had to move the boat to sell

Long story short? This place is a total drama show to purchase a used boat. Sorry I ever got involved.
