It all started fine, the salesman came to my house and gave his pitch. I found prices reasonable for what I wanted a heavy duty 42x60x14, I paid a deposit that day in November of 2020 for a building to be delivered in March or April of 2021. Had some problems with color choices in the early months, and now in July of 2021 I still dont even have a final engineered plan, let alone a building. Glad I didnt pay the whole bill up front. Now I cant even get a call back for a status update.

Started my building process in November. Put a $5,000 deposit down. Ran into hard times and wanted to cancel and they told me flat out they would not give me my money back. Set up a payment plan and my building is completely paid off and has been for a while. Hear it is now August and they still have not got any blue prints for my concrete pad that I need to pour. No delivery date.Every time I call they say “ let me call you back” and I never receive a phone call. No way in the world I would recommend anyone to sign a contract with this company. Hands down the worst experience.

This company contracted by Quality Outdoor Products out of Little Rock, AR to put up a 30 X 40 shop for me. It took them 4 months to complete. They had fabricated the soffit incorrectly on the first visit and took over 3 months to return. Being a business owner myself I tried to be understanding. When they returned I expressed my concerns with leaks. They told me to caulk around the foundation. The problem is its hard to caulk when there is a 2 inches gap since they didnt bother securing it... I have added pictures since both companies have neglected my for 6 months. I was promised a building that would have no leaks. I am very disappointed.

My neighbor bought a building from Steel Building Pros and we both love it.  I loved it so much I got one from you guys too. Excellent service, I bought mine right over the phone. My neighbor met with someone at his house. Anyways, great job.

Purchased a building for a larger scale upgrade to my greenhouse idea, absolutely love how everything turned out. The add ons really put in that finishing industrial/professional look with the sky lights. A bit of a wait but all in all very high quality product, I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone with a home project on their minds.

It was difficult trying to get my building assembled because of my location. I live pretty remote. I was ready to give up. I called and Penelope had a list of contractors they’ve used in the past and after calling a few, I was able to find someone fair that completed my building in 3 days. I’m surprised at this level of care. My uncle wants one now :-)

A little rocky in the beginning, but I felt reassured when the owner walked me through the process and details of my project that I never thought of. I dont know what the norm is but I felt like they really cared about my long term satisfaction and not just trying to get me off the phone. I must have spoke to every person in the building as many times as I called. Thanks again.

I’m an ex employee. I can say I do value this companys morals and work ethic. I worked as an appointment setter making calls and establishing appointments. I really got the spirit of the company while I was working there, I learned that that specific job wasn’t for me but I can definitely say I had a positive experience working with everyone in the office, including the boss who worked right alongside us, that was another thing I found very admirable.

Jim Reid was fantastic! Great rep, discussed me with my needs and did one better. I dont get these reviews of people thinking they are supplying the foundation and construction. Takes some time to assemble because I got one much larger then I originally was thinking, but it was easy. Building is strong and sturdy and I know, because I built it right. Looks fantastic and holds all my toys.

My husband and I just finished our absolute dream home, I’m so proud of the work we put into it and thanks to Crystal, Bobbie, Penelope, Kelsey, and Rod. I think we must have talked to half the office at some point in time. They helped us all along the way with construction and we just recently completed the inside and decorating. We have the S model. 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Everyone stops by to wanna check it out. I love it so much.

Love my shop. Great job guy! Someone came out to my house and helped me with my barn. We made several changes before it shipped. Im very pleased. It took a little longer but all Im very happy with it and would buy another one from these people.

Despite the process being a little tedious I am incredibly happy with our building. I spoke with the manager Rod and he was definitely very hands on with the whole process and trying to get my building out to me as efficiently as possible. I can tell that he definitely values what he does and I also really like the veterans aspect of the whole business. The quality of the building was amazing too, it lives up to its standards as advertised. Overal I would recommend this from a personal experience and quality.

My story with Steel Building Pros is kind of different. At first I had an extremely difficult time with the previous management.Around the first part of November Penelope contacted me as part of their review. After new management was in place they reviewed files where there may be unresolved issues. They contacted me and were very professional and their main focus was my satisfaction. After discussing things with them I could see why they will be successful. They were so nice and respectful and here I thought good customer service was gone!Steel Building Pros has restored my faith in a good trustworthy company.

We have had a horrible experience with this company! Their sales rep came to our house, lied to us, wrote up a fraudulent contract and now they refuse to return our deposit. Please do not do business with this company.

A company with integrity!! What a refreshing experience.. They tried everything to complete our transaction, but based on my inability to complete my end, they refunded my deposit so I can be better prepared to complete our business in the near future. Understand, this company will MAKE U pay for the building whether u get it or not! I have nothing bad to say about the building itself. My complaints are with the staff and the manor to which they treat their customers. The staff is very rude. Do not give this business any money unless ur 100% sure all your ducks are in a row. 24 hours into paying my deposit l discovered a problem with my build site. I immediately called to cancel my order but was ignored for 3 days. When l finally heard from someone, it was Peck who told me if l cancelled l would not only lose my deposit but would also be charged 50% of the cost of a bldg that l would NEVER receive! Remember it was 24 HOURS! He refused to give me information leading me to anyone above him. I had to call repeatedly and talked to other employees to get someone over him. Any company willing to steal your deposit and charge you THOUSANDS of dollars after only 24 hours of placing an order is NOT an ethical company. l spoke with Rod the owner and he told me the only option l had was to continue paying for the building even tho I explained I no longer had a location to put the building on. The sales representative never informed me that I couldnt get my deposit back if there were any problems. If I had it all to do over again, I would have went with a different company.

Aside from being a bit pushy, I’m very pleased with the building. I finally have my garage back and my partner has the space for all of her stuff. The owner did get involved and helped us a lot and we really appreciate that. Thank you.

The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because the building took longer to get up than what I was expecting. But I do love it. Me and my husband wanted a shop for years and finally got one. I ran into trouble getting it put up but these folks were able to help me each time I called. I would buy again.

About a month ago I suffered from a fall that injured my back. I was told by the doctors that I couldnt be a contractor anymore [at least lift heavy things like I used to]. I was a small contractor and only had two employees.I then decided to make a career change and began looking around. I came across Steel Building Pros on Craigslist, wanting to hire new sales representatives in the KC metro area. I looked up and called the company to get more details on the job offer listed on Craigslist. I was told by a Sales Manager, Jonathan Jacob, after talking to him for about an hour that I was pretty much what they were looking for and that I needed to send in my Resume as a formality. Once that was received I would then be contacted for a video interview with himself and the owner of the company. Now after 2 weeks of waiting, multiple calls to inquire about the status of this job offer, leaving messages for this Jonathan Jacob to call me back, I have received NO call backs, or not even an e-mail to state whether or not I would even be considered for the position.Im not sure how the company handles business with their clients [somewhat dis-concerning from reading some of the reviews now] But if this is how they handle gaining possible employees who are supposed to be selling their products, I personally dont think they will handle their business all that well, either.

They worked well with me and Im very happy with the company.

Absolutely worst company ever!!!! This company is litterally a scam!! The sales rep says they are looking for the display partner in the area and that they have already meet with someone on the other side of town but the truth of the matter is that they never meet with someone else and they offer the display partner to everyone. Than they say it’s discounted buildings and there prices are ridiculous. They don’t even build it, doesn’t come with concrete. Oh yeah and you have to get your own forklift to take the product off the truck because god forbid they do that. BTW: you can always cancel the product, just don’t pay a 25% deposit they can always settle for a lower deposit and if you have to just give them a declined card or a bad check. If they tell you that you have to pay 50% of the building cost just tell them to F off and Don’t pay them. Trust me I don’t even think it’s a real contract that is signed. Also make sure they put contingency on the contracts so you can always cancel if needed to be. (Examples: getting loans approved from bank, wife approval) most important make sure the sales rep actually writes on the contract the contingency because they have a history especially terry peck of trying to pull a fast one and screw the customer over. They are litterally a scam!! Terry peck is very aggressive, rude and one day he will be catching these hands. ✌🏼 You’re better off with a pole barn than this product.

As a veteran I really felt at home doing business with this company. The owner is a veteran and they really just took care of me overall. Id recommend them to anyone who needs a quality product, great customer service too.

First off, Id like to say Ive been an employee with Steel Building Pros for 5 years. Prior to working with Steel Building Pros I was employed with the Dept. of Navy for 14 years. My primary role with both the Navy and Steel Building Pros was and is customer service - point being, I am very familiar with the role and the significance customer service plays. I can say from first-hand experience, Steel Building Pros goes above and beyond to provide the best possible resolution for their customers. That’s what defines a company’s make-up.

Had a personal issue arise and worked with management to work through the problem. The management and the company was very understanding. I would recommend this top notch to anyone. Top notch company.

This is the second steel building company in VA that has contacted me about their “display program.” I set an appointment with them to have a Marketing rep come out to my house to discuss options and this is the second time the marketing rep didn’t show up. When I called to find out how much longer I would be waiting the company told me there was a scheduling conflict and that the marketing rep wouldn’t be able to make it out. This was the same excuse the first company gave me which by the way was Steel Building Garages. I don’t recommend them either. Horrible custom service and they seem really disorganized.

Honestly could not say a bad word about the level of service. The company has went above and beyond the call of duty on assisting me with getting the correct building for my needs. Every single person I have taked to throughout the process was highly professional. 10/10 would recommend.

I bought a rigid frame from steel building pros to run my motor cycle repair shop out of. Its everything I could have asked for, everything was easy to setup & install, full customizable. I sent them some photos of my shop and they said theyd put them online soon. Thank you guys.

SCAM ALERT!!!Tried to get prices on their buildings. Had to submit an online request. Finally got a call back from them 3-4 weeks later. The lady on the phone wouldnt give me a price, she had to set up an appointment. The girl showed up to the shop and the first question we asked was how much she immediately went out to her car and called her boss. Instead of coming back in our business she got in her car and started to pull out. I walked outside and asked what was going on. She said her boss told her to leave because we dont really want a building. Apparently with this company you are not allowed to ask them what the price of there buildings are. I stopped her and asked if I could talk with her boss. She handed me the phone and her boss was instantly rude! Started telling me how we wasted their time and that we didnt want a building. And if we have to ask the price then we didnt really want a building. Why would we cancel appointments with our customers to talk with them, if we didnt want a building? How does this guy know we dont want a building? We are a small shop that has been in business since 1953. I would never treat a customer as rude as these people. We went ahead and called a local guy who came over that evening and sat down and showed us options and PRICES! Dont do business with these people, they are a scam and telemarketers!

This place is a joke! Worst customer service. We have been waiting on our $17,000 building to be delivered for over 2 months now. No one knows what is going on. Do not trust these people!!!

Rude. Rude. Rude. I have cash in hand and they would rather treat their customers horrible than listen to them. I asked him if he didn’t want my money or something and this is his response “What money. You didnt have the courtesy to even show up. ” I had someone there to meet with them and it wasn’t good enough for them. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I contracted with steel building pros for 20x28 a-line building. The town denied my permit for the building on aesthetic reasons. I had a difficut time getting s.b.p. to process the deposit refund. Although I had written into the contract if there is an issue with permits we will adjust size and price to accomidate or cancell order and return deposit. It took several weeks, many phone calls and emails to get my refund. S.B.P. wanted documentation of the denial. I sent the minutes of the town meeting in which the permit was denied. This did not meet their standard of proof. I was then forced to negoiate with the town to get a letter certifing the denial, then sign a legal release with S.B.P.. In short I think they have a good product, a lovely salesman in Mr Milton Truitt. Do yourself a favor and be 100% sure of where your ducks are before you give S.B.P. any monies.

Great customer service! We had problems with securing our loan with our bank after we made our deal with Steel building Pros and they went out of their way to help us.

I also was treated very rudely by the president of the company when I returned his call. He informed me that he could not talk tome now that he had a sales meeting to attend.I also had several months delay in receiving the plans for my building that I had made a down payment on. The reason I fund to be that no one had ordered the building plans and it would take another two weeks after I had made several phone calls inquiring about the plans over a 2 month period. This has caused me a serious delay in preparation for the arrival of my building.

Good quality product on my building, Hurricane Irma did not damage to it at all..
