I was invited on a 2 day hike by a good friend, but never hiked before, nor did I know anything about the equipment I needed to do so. Glen helped me decide which boots, and essentials that I needed. He also shared his knowledge on hiking, and camping with me. He taught me that I needed to hike my hike, and I would see what I would use, or not use. He showed me which sleeping pad, sleeping bag, jet stove was good for me, and that I didn’t need the most expensive portable chair. He wasn’t trying to sell to me. He also explained to me the different backpacks, water filters, and tents for the types of hikes that I could take. I am so happy with my purchases! I’ve since been on 3 hikes, and plan on many more to come, but first stop the G.O.P. Thank you Glen for your knowledge, tips & tricks!

My husband and I were shopping for a tandem kayak and called around several places. Eli at GOP was by the far the friendliest and most helpful person we spoke to. He was able to walk us through ordering our kayak, make recommendations on what accessories we might need, and was just all around great to work with. We could have bought our kayak from a number of places, but we got it from GOP because we appreciated how easy he made the process. Also, the store has so many great things to pick from and is set up really well. We will definitely be going back for future visits!!

I went in the store to get information on a kayak and see what they had in stock. I was even thinking of buying one if the price was right. When I entered the store a person greeted me then when to talking with w others that worked there. I was left alone for about 30 minutes then I left. I didnt get asked if I could be helped or anything. Not very happy I wanted to ask about the kayaks but it looks as though most were on hold and no one wanted to help me. No I didnt ask anyone for assistance. I should not have too.

This place is great. Good assortment and variety to choose from. Awesome paddling section if your into kayaking and such. We got our new tent for an upcoming trip. The customer service was great, we will definitely be back when we need more gear for future trips.

Great place! Not only is this the only place that I could find a cargo box, but the customer service was awesome. Even in the heat with a mask, they helped us put the box on our car. I definitely recommend this place.

Excellent customer service! Staff put up with me for hours while I selected a new fishing kayak. Every question was answered with incredible knowledge of the product and patience. 10% discount on kayaking accessories for the first year post-purchase is a great incentive too, as frequently that small discount makes accessories less expensive than other retailers.Every guy and girl in there knows their stuff. They dont just sell outdoor gear, they live it. Cannot recommend highly enough. If something isnt in stock they can order it for you to see in person without a commitment to buy. This place is amazing. Anything outdoor related you can think of, its here. I randomly walked in with my family one night before our reservation at a near by restaurant to check on a couple prices of items I needed for running. Like I said before, if you can think of it, they have it . . in different styles and colors lol.Founded in 1972, Great Outdoor Provision Co has been helping their neighbors since day one. From hiking, climbing, water sports, safety and comfort is on the top of their list. They even have items for your furry friend if interested in getting them outdoor items such as travel bowls and leashes.Great Outdoor Provision Co had great customer service throughout the whole experience. My family and I were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. We were greeted. I told the associate what I was interested in and I was guided in that direction. She also showed me different examples and variations of what I was looking for.Some items are a little pricey but youre paying for quality and brand names. The customer service is great also. I will be coming back for more items.

Bought a pair of Tecnicas from Anne. She was very knowledgeable about footwear. I learned a few things and I love the boots.

There are many options at this store, and the customer service I received was extraordinary. After returning home with my brand new Feel Free Lure 13.5ft I noticed a minor defect (dent) on the underside of the kayak. I called the store and spoke with Josh; a younger gentleman that helped me make the decision on buying the kayak. Josh did everything possible to help me out. I was able to get another kayak with no additional cost, and reimbursed a generous amount of store cash. I highly recommend this store, and I would like to give a huge thanks to Josh for all the help he provided.

Wish I had found this place sooner. GREATEST customer service Ive experienced in any store and Ive been to a lot of Chick-fil-as. It seemed every worker was genuinely interested in helping me find the right equipment and install it correctly. Big shout out to Glenn! An awesome worker and even better dude. This. place. rocks.

I didnt buy anything when I went in but I asked a lot of questions. On top of that my two year old - into everything - son was with me. The employee that was working that day (cant remember his name) was great he answered all of my questions and paid attention to my son the whole time. Great shopping experience. I will definitely be back. I need that Hobie PA 12 in my life.
