Everything is always delicious but make sure to check any personalized cakes before leaving. The girl that assisted me was quick to put the cake in a bag & rush me out and then I realized why. She didn’t seem trained in writing on cakes. At least it was tasty.

They always have the best deals and the ice cream combinations are amazing. It always smells so sweet and clean when you walk inside. They do great practicing covid 19 precautions as well. Great sundaes! Milkshakes could be a little thicker but was delicious!

Walked in an hour before close and asked for a specialty halloween shake. Employee stopped and stared for multiple seconds before admitting that he didn’t know how to make the shake and went to ask another employee. When i received the shake it looked nothing like the advertisement, completely different color/toppings and might as well have been a glass of milk because of the lack of ice cream. Very disappointed. My partner order another, regular shake and consistency was the same.

MIRANDA done an outstanding job creating our dairy delights! I asked for the new flavor anf was blown away by the accuracy in which it was prepared and presented. Will for sure return to try their many other tasty offerings. I forgot to mention (I didnt mention it) and was asked if I was military, (I am) and was given a 10%discount! Super friendly, service with a smile (through these darn masks). Couldnt have asked for a better experience! THANK YOU CARVEL AND Miranda!

We make it a point to try and visit here everytime we are in Virginia Beach. The soft serve is excellent. Smooth, creamy, and delicious. The staff always seem friendly and service is fast. Our only concern is when they have some sort of speciality soft serve flavor, it never seems to be available within an hour or two of closing. Other than that, we are never disappointed.

Friendly staff, clean store, easy to see most products (obv you cant see the soft serve but its always so good). Staff offered suggestion to save our order since it was the end of the night and there wasnt a full serving of the soft serve my daughter wanted available. Always good. Weve come back a few times since moving close by.

Excellent customer service. The girl at the counter couldn’t have been more helpful. When I went in there, I saw some woman screaming at the employee that it’s “her right to not wear a mask,” after a man and his two daughters were turned away for being in there without masks and coughing. This was good business practice and was very thoughtful of them. I’m glad they have public safety and everyone’s best interest prioritized over one Karen. The ice cream machines looked spotless as well. A very well-run establishment.

I came here to get soft Ice Cream at 11 a.m. and none available. She told me she had a wide variety of hard. If I wanted hard I could have gone to a grocery store. She was cleaning the machines. I worked at a soft serve establishment for many years and machines were ALWAYS cleaned after closing. I believe when you open you should have everything available or dont advertise it!

Classic little ice cream shop. Hot fudge. Reese peanut butter sauce. Chocolate malt milkshake. Friendly staff provides quick efficient service with excellent portions.

I expected better....The past couple of visits the service was slow and indoor seating was not clean. Also, on our last visit they were all out of vanilla soft serve and the past couple visits they were all out of chocolate shell. Carvel ice cream is yummy, but this location let me down.

Slightly high priced. Clean and employees were friendly. Three tables of four inside a couple smaller tables outside. Cold brew coffee ice cream is delicious!! *limited time

You need to learn to tell time or correct your web page which says you are open till 10PM on Sunday!!!!! Not 9:00PM when you lock the doors....come on! Who likes driving all the way up there and finding you in the store but the doors locked!

Ive been celebrating hot days and various accomplishments with ice cream at this Carvel since I was in preschool, first with my mom and now with my kids...over 30 years ago. The new folks running it in recent years are always friendly and helpful! Favor place for ice cream

I walked in here cause it was next door to Chinese I order for the family.Chinese was ready by the time I arrived....I ordered FOUR milkshakes!! Took 25 minutes!!!Then I told him I was riding in a topless Jeep, could I get 2 covers for the two milkshakes that didnt have covers on them.He told me Sorry, those two dont come with tops....... Needless to say I ended up wearing some of it on the way home..... The shakes werent even completely full...(one of them was)25 minutes for 4 shakes and like that for $30!!?!?Never again with those two working.The other employee helped a minimum of 8 people while this went on.....a joke...

Not only is it a good place to buy from but its also a nice place to work at! My Mum works there and shes made so many new friends and plus its easy to learn what to do there. Went in with my Mom to pick up a few Sundaes for the family. Its an ice cream shop, so I thought it was a fairly reasonable request. The kid behind the counter said they could only make Sundaes with vanilla soft serve. How stupid is that? Wont be back. Just go down the boulevard and go to Brewsters. They can actually make Sundaes with ice cream.

I went to carvel wanted butterpecan icecreamI got 2 scoops,i just didnt taste rightCome to find out they had mix the icecreamwith some kind of mint icecreamthey had 3 girls working one was on her phone texting,the other girl was cleaningi guess they thought i wasnt going to notice it.it just wasnt tasteful,i saw the girl taking my order whisper to the girl that was not working texting on her phone,what a afternoon to get ataste for your favorite icecream and getdisappointed.when i look in case the icecreamlook as if it was melting you know what it was

Decided to come to carvel after years of not going. Cold Stone is a little out of my way so I figured why not try carvel again. When I got there I took a minute to figure out what i wanted, the girl and guy behind the counter did not like this. When I saw my flavor i asked for it. The reply was we are out. no sorry no anything. i said it was fine. i understand, i used to work in fast food so i figured maybe the shipment hasnt come back in. so i asked for a SECOND flavor. and the reply was the same. we are out. so at that point i didnt want anything else. But still picked up something for my parents. When I told the young man this, he glanced over at his parter with a smirk look. i still purchased something although you were out of what i wanted. So whats with the smirk glances? bad service. never again.

Extremely expensive and the employees are awkward. Paid almost $8 for a blizzard type ice cream (that he added milk to for some reason so it was more like a shake) because the kid gave us a large instead of asking what size we wanted.

I went to get a cake for my daughter she turn 16 the spelled her name wrong when the went fix it it still look bad after 3 time trying to fix the cake she told to get a new one but i was upset because of the colors of the new cake was not my daughter colors..So i had for a manager and the employee give me the phone number but it was the wrong number and tge same time the owner was there and she did not want to help...i spent $31.00 and noone wanted to help...i did talk to the manager and he give me the runaround about it.Than i called corporate and they are aso giving me the runaround.This company SUCKS..So before u go in there think about the runaround they have done.What corporation sells the stores just to anyone and they dont want to help there customers.I have be going to this store fir over 35 years and will never to back and i will telling my friends not to go too!!!

Tried this place for the first time per my neighbors suggestion. Brought my son to pick out his own ice cream cake flavors for his birthday. He was super excited. Ordered the cake at 3pm on sunday for 5pm monday pickup. I get to the store at 6pm on monday and the cake was not done. Clerk called her boss and the boss said someone rewrote the order for tuesday. When i ordered, the same clerk (girl with purple hair) read back the order to me before i left. She wrote it correctly. How/why did the rewrite happen? She kept apologizing and gave us a discount on a premade cake. My son was ok with the change even though momentarily disappointed. I left my name and number for the manager or owner to call me and neither gave me the courtesy. Will not be returning due to lack of customer courtesy of upper management.

I would like to sue this place for false advertisement I ordered a cake which was suppose to be medium size when the cake arrived it was literally the size of 2 slices of toast ! I felt disrespected when this cake arrived to my house I didn’t even eat it I asked can I get a refund and they said no I paid $17 for a cake the size of 2 pieces of toast ! This place is highly unprofessional!

Carvel is a gem! Ice cream stores are almost extinct, so I like to give Carvel business.
