Discouraging of customers interests despite being a craft store, said they did not have materials I then found easily on my own. Basic, ageist; their beautiful rainbow thread display was the warmest employee.

Cute little local cross-stitch shop. The ladies that work there are super friendly and so knowledgeable about anything and everything cross-stitch. It reminded me of visiting a small town shop where everyone is treated like family. Great experience and cant wait to go back!

This is honestly the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. I’ve worked retail and let me just say this place is very unprofessional. Eating in front of customers as a group and gossiping isn’t very welcoming to other people. These people are rude and talk down to customers. Informing one person not to touch something because you’ll grab it for them (while your sitting down) then scolding them for grabbing what they want while someone else is walking around and putting their hands on everything is ridiculous to me. All in all this last visit is just that, our last. We won’t be returning to this store for business ever again. It’s sad that we dread going into the store due to the employee’s attitudes. Every time we go in there we aren’t met with kindness. It’s not hard to be professional and greet customers. If you don’t like people, maybe you shouldn’t work with them. Simple as that.

Hands down the least friendly and rudest independent business I have been in all year. Made a special trip with my daughter to pick out some special threads and a pattern for her tutor, checked their website and made the trip only to be told extremely nastily that they don’t allow children under 16. This information isn’t posted anywhere visibly and is not on their website, and the poor way the workers handled this crushed my daughter. They certainly arenot encouraging of young stitchers and are badly in need of customer service skills. I would not recommend this shop to anyone - save your time and money and buy from anywhere else!

The shop is wonderful with great service!! I am a returning cross stitcher after about 35ish years. I had many questions, the the two lovely ladies were very helpful. Their products were great. Im very sorry this shop isnt closer to me, but they have shipped products to me. Nicely packaged and arrived very fast! Will continue to order from them.

Very nice store! Well organized store with lots of eye candy to look at. The clerks were friendly and helpful. Beautiful models on the wall. I was disappointed that the store doesnt stock buttons unless they come with a chart pack. Im from out of state, but would definitely go back if Im in the area.

Stopped into the best cross stitch store ever. With all the years of accoutrement collecting, I found items I have not seen anywhere. Love this shop and people running it. If you’ve never been there, time to do so.

I have been a customer for several years now. Traveling from the Washington DC area, 3 1/2 hours at times to find the fabric and help I need. Ann has always been very helpful with picking just the right fabrics for extremely elaborate projects. I highly recommend this lovely shop.

Friendly ..shop local!! They have everything you need for cross stitching. Mainly prim old time stitching but they do carry different types of charts. There is always something there you dont have in your stash! Great place to get kitted for that beach week project!

I was looking for a cross stitch specialty store closer than Williamsburg and found this place. It was a very nice store, with very reasonable prices, and had lots of selection. I dont know how often I will return only because I am unsure how often I will be doing cross stitch as a hobby, but I do hope to make it a regular thing!

Well its the only specialty needlework store in the area and its priced accordingly. Decent selection of cloth and hand dyed and dmc threads (but youre better off going to Michaels). Quite a few kits.

Expect to pay speciality store prices, but be ready for above and beyond speciality store service and merchandise options. I spent all day visiting various craft and fabric stores looking for the proper count aida cloth before resigning myself to visiting an expensive speciality store, but just 5 minutes after walking into Dying to Stitch I had found the aida cloth I wanted (in a better color than I ever dreamed of finding), the hand dyed embroidery floss mother had just run out of, and a handful of employees who were just as excited to see my finished work as I was. I will absolutely shop here again.
