They charged me 41 bucks to fail the visual inspection. Thats just popping the hood and looking at it then saying it failed. They could have just told me right away I need to get whatever it was fixed then bring it back and not charge me

Ive been going to this place for years now, I Wouldnt take my cars to any other place. Friendly and professional.. I had an estimate for smog repair from another garage, they said around $200-$300 to repair.. I took it to California smog, She fixed it for around $30.. been going there ever since..

Took in vehicle for testing, before leaving I made sure that my monitors were in the clear. When I got in there, they told me that I disconnected my battery and that all monitors werent ready. But that cant be since its been a year since I last touched my battery. Car fails and recommends that I replace my mufflers. They stated that they could do it there much cheaper but I didnt fall for it.

Bad place, They will lie to customers for money. They had no clue Im a master mechanic. Went from $40 quick smog check to $90 all because my cpu was off. The owner is so disrespectful, im surprised he still in business, which Im sure he survived this long from scamming people

Please never take your vehicle to this shop we took our 1994 Ford Mustang for repairs. Not only where they not able to fix the repairs they charged $900 plus and the vehicle had no gas when it was ready to be picked up! We paid drove off about a few blocks and our car caught on fire!!!!!!! We returned to the shop the the lady blamed us saying we tampered with the vehicle after we paid $900! Why would we tamper with our vehicle after just giving them our money and we only had liability insurance since it had been in the shop. We reported them to the BBB but they never tried to respond to our claim. On top of that they refused to take no responsibility what so ever! Please please never take your car to this place for any repairs. Our was non salvageable it completely caught on fire 5 minutes after it left their shop! Please dont let this happen to you!

A car dealership I purchased a vehicle from had carfax for me and every smog was done here supposedly but I feel that that was not the entire truth. I presume they will log in smigging of vehicles without ever doing the actual smog seeing as smogs are uploaded electronically to DMV andthe DMV uploads them to the systemdaily at midnight so Carfax should of had those numbers the day I purchased my vehicle 12/03/2020 the printout by the dealership for me didnt have a smog inspection on it and now online it shows their was one a certain day. Doesnt add up?

Will definitely not suggest to anyone I know to go here, the guy was drinking a beer and holding a pool cue so guessing I interrupted his game of pool, after he did everything he announced to me that my smog was all done and then instead of directly telling me that it failed he asked a million questions building up to just tell me it failed. He then charged me $30 and I said youre charging me $30 even though it failed? Which he responded with youre lucky most places will charge you $50. Well sorry I know a place off Mooney that will charge $45 if it passes and of it fails just let me know what needs to be fixed and not charge that way he knows Ill bring it back to him... should have just done that but it was closed and I was just trying to get it all over with today... will definitely never go back.

They did it again, if you have a car 10 years old or older, you may be required to have it smoked checked before getting it registered for new tags. This cant be done by any smog service, but only by a STAR smog service. When I found who was a star smog service in Visalia . I called them all and asked how much they charge. California smog had the best low price.15 minutes my 10 year old vehicle was done and on my way.

The team at California smog diagnosed the issues and addressed them to me and worked with me to resolve the problems I had with my vehicles. Called got quote, printed coupon. Arrived showed coupon and requested smog. She grabbed paperwork to fill out and proceeded to tell me machine was broke until maybe monday!!!!! WTF? Fill out paperwork and leave car over weekend? Why did I drive there if the machine was not functioning? NEVER AGAIN!

I came in the morning and there was only 1 lady working and there where 3 people in front of me. She was running around running 2 smog checks at the same time, it was quite impressive. She was able to get me in and out within 30min despite being busy and alone.

Over an hour to smog. 25 minutes which a woman just stared at my radiator with a flashlight. Im a technician amd know when someone is inexperienced. The people may be nice, but have no idea what they are doing. By the way Ive been going there since 2002 when it was under different management. Wish I had the experience the other reviewers did...

Took my car in for a smog and the lady told me to take a walk because it was going to take a while. While I was gone, the Mexican lady that was doing the smog check called me and told me that I my car was leaking a lot of radiator fluid. When I returned, I noticed somebody purposely poked a hole in it. Then she tried to give me an expensive estimate on how to fix it. Once I got home, I took the piece off to replace it and cut it in half to inspect it and you can tell that it was a freshly cut. I heard that it is under new ownership.

This guy that works there was very rude, when I went there the place looked like it was going out of business. I was the only one there. A few minutes later a car pulled up the car was leaking radiator fluid. The person asked the technician if he could look a his car. Technician responded we dont do that here completely ignored him. The gentleman look like he was about 65 years young having car problems in 100 degree weather . After witnessing that I will never go there again.
