We bought a replacement unit for our house. The McGee team also inspected the ductwork and found that it was very tired too and also needed to be replaced. It would have been pretty easy for a dishonest company to gouge us a little at that point. Not McGee. The prices are competitive and the parts list detailed. No surprises. The unit on the house was probably a 1988 model and was very tired. The crew (shout out to Troy and Brendan) was prompt, professional, very polite and friendly and finished ahead of schedule, even with the extra work. They told us that when they were finished it would be the best looking unit in the neighborhood - and they were right. I went up on the roof to inspect the workmanship and it was excellent. Clean, neat, and professional. The company is top notch and we received 5 star - white glove treatment. Thank you McGee Team for a great experience.

They also put in all the electrical for the units, and thermostat. Because my home is a mobile home and the logistics of where the condenser needed to be they came across challenges but always adapted and got it done.But they didnt just do their jobs. The first day I told them to be careful and not trip on my Direct TV cable because it had fallen down from the carport awning. They instantly said, oh we can fix that for you, and Troy got a ladder and reattached it so I no longer have to step over it.Not only that, but we were telling them that we were going to tear down a shed that was now too close because of condenser but we were concerned because it has electrical going to it.This shed had mold in it. I Scheduled an appointment for an estimate, I sent a email on a Sunday thinking Id hear back Monday morning when they opened, i was very surprised to receive a email back shortly after, on a sunday not during business hours. We Locked in a date, Owen came out, on time, I was actually on my way home, he said hed wait for me. 👍. We did a walk through the house, and when he pulled out a pen and paper and wrote down what wed need, (not get on a tablet and overwhelm me with it) he said hell go back to the shop and work on a price. he called me back and said this is what it is, my install guys can be out there these days. It was easy, not stressful and took all the guess work out of it, kept it simple, and answered all my questions. I went down and put a deposit and locked in our install date.. what can I say about the install guys, Troy and Brendon stuck it out all week showing up on time, prepared, and ready to work. They did a complete install. From thermostat, to running new electrical, new gas line to the new unit on the roof, new ducting, brought in a new little tool to cut through my 1942 plaster walls to help keep the mess to a minimum on the new carpet. The guys were friendly, polite, professional, wore all there PPE safety equipment as hot as it was there was no complaining, they new what they had to do and did it. Now we are sitting in an air conditioning house 1week before are babys due date right before summer... Perfect timing.... Out with the swompcooler and in with the AC. Thank Troy and Brendon for all the hard work. And thank you for the new yeti cups, keeping are drinks cold and on ice.

When my heating and air conditioning unit went out, I had no idea who to turn to for such services. A company came out and gave me a quote for a new unit and duct work which was upwards of $20,000. Lana and Owen believed that I was being overcharged for such services and equipment. Owen personally came out and took a look at the duct work and unit on the roof and confirmed we were being overcharged. Within a week, McGee Refrigeration, Heating, and Air Conditioning was at the house replacing the duct work and installing the new unit on the roof. The team that installed the equipment was led by Troy. He was punctual as well as respectful to me and my boyfriend. Although there were a couple of appointments ahead of me, they arrived before the quoted time and got it fixed promptly on a day that was to be 108. My family has used McGee Refrigeration for decades with their heating and cooling needs at their home. I had my first personal experience with them this winter when my home’s heater stopped working.They quickly found and replaced the broken motor and did it for about $150 less than one of their competitors wanted to charge.Also their competitor charged me $78 just to come give me a bid on the work, whereas McGee sent out a friendly technician for free to come check things out and give me a bid.On top of all this they were very easy to schedule an appointment with, the technician came out the next day, and I even got a call from the owner when the work was done making sure I was satisfied with the process.Whenever I need hvac work in the future I will call them with zero hesitation!

Large shout out to McGee’s Refrigeration!! 3 other companies wanted us to just buy new air conditioning units and one included an additional $800 part. McGee was the only guy to crawl up into the attic. Looked at the ducts and air returns. Found out were not installed correctly 15 years ago!! Hence all the problems through the years with heating and cooling that side of the house! 2 hours later, all fixed. Even air temp in all rooms, and no additional part needed and stated our units looked great, absolutely no need to replace!! If you need air conditioning or heating concerns in Tulare county, they are the ones to go to!!!!

We had a great experience with McGee. Our A/C stopped working on a Sunday afternoon with the temperatures reaching 109 degrees it was miserable and thought for sure it would be days before someone could fit us in. We called McGee Monday morning and spoke with Lanna and told her what had happened and she told us that she would do whatever she could to get us taken care of. They were booked but she said if a technician finished earlier she would call and let us know so we could meet them at our house. Sure enough we received a call later in the day and a technician was available and was able to meet us at our in house in about 20 minutes. The technician was very nice and knowledgeable he took care our problem and explained exactly what he had done. Their prices are extremely reasonable. We would definitely recommend them for any of your heating and air conditioning needs.

On Sunday late night the AC stopped working in my Dads house, he was on Hospice & in a hospital bed. We called McGee Refrigeration at 8:00 am on Monday, explained our situation & the office redirected techs, on their way to another job, to come over asap. I had Owen (whom I have known for years and is one of the most, if not THE most honest and trustworthy guys I know) and his boys come out and take a look at my furnace. I called them after getting a 3 month run around from the company sent out by the home warranty. The original company ended up refusing to take my calls and took weeks in between repairs. I called Lana at McGee and she was wonderful. Owen came out the next day to assess the system. He spent an hour trying to make it work and could not salvage the 25 year old system. The next day we had an estimate and scheduled the install. The workers showed up promptly at 7am to begin the replacement and were very professional. The had the old system out and the new system in place and working by 3pm. They explained the whole process to myself in a way I could understand. They installed our smart thermostat and walked me through the set up process. I cannot express how pleased I am with this company. They will be the only company we use in the future!!

This is my first time doing a review for anyone, but after today I felt the need to let everyone know McGee Refrigeration should be your first call for any air conditioning needs! With everything going on in the world right now due to this COVID - 19 pandemic I was hesitant to call anyone to my house when my air conditioner wouldnt turn on last night. However, I called McGee Refrigeration, and they promptly scheduled me for same day service. They asked me if I was comfortable with them entering my home, they comforted me by letting me know they had protective gear that they change out after every service call. As a mom of 2 I was initially worried, but they showed up, they put their protective gear on before entering my home! They found my thermostat defective and replaced it all within the same hour! No added diagnostic fee! just an awesome $90.00 an hour rate plus my new thermostat! Needless to say, we will be using McGee Refrigeration for all are heating and cooling needs. I even signed up for their annual service program, theyll be back in October to service my A/C unit for winter!

Last Friday my heater went out while I was watching my grand baby for the weekend and i couldnt get anyone to come out and service my heater on short notice without paying a fortune!! Thankfully the McGees did everything they could to squeeze us in and we had heat before the end of the day! They were kind and considerate and did a really great job. I especially liked that they wore booties when they entered my home. Overall I had a very positive experience and will continue to use them from now on.

What a great company. We have been doing business with McGee for 2 years now. We purchased an annual maintainence plan with them, a worth while investment. They service the unit 2 times a year for fall and summer. This could good head off potential problems down the road if they see anything during the service that might need some TLC.This year we had to have some repair work done on our unit. This time of year everyone is booked solid and it could be several days to get someone out. McGee had Tucker out the same day and he assessed the problem and informed us the part would have to be ordered. When it came in (which was quickly) they were out early to get it installed. Owen checked our unit over and installed another part that was going to need to replaced soon. Wow saved us another service call by doing this when he was here. From their office staff and technicians everyone provides great service and really cares about the customer. Excellent companies like McGee are harder and harder to find. Hats off to Owen, Lana and Tucker and the technicians for providing quality customer service and excellent knowledgable service. They will keep you warm in winter and cool in the summer. Absolutely fantastic customer service, came out for original service call on time, Tucker was very knowledgeable and suggested several options. Once we were installing the new unit workers were quick and efficient, did not leave behind a mess and were once again very knowledgeable about what was being installed step by step. Would recommend them to anyone!!

HANDS DOWN, the BEST heating and AC service in town!! I have had McGee Refrigeration provide my AC/Heating service for about 5 years now, and would not go with anyone else! McGee refrigeration is a local, family operated service and treat their customers more like family than anything else! They are fast, efficient, and provide quality service. My AC unit stopped working after a brief power surge well after business hours on a HOT, HOT day. I called McGee, expecting a re wording, but was pleasantly surprised to reach a live voice (why did they answer WELL after hours? Because they knew it was hot and people would need help; thats just who they are!). A service tech was scheduled right away for the following morning; The technician arrived as scheduled, went straight to work, and had my house cooling back down in no time! McGee Refrigeration is an awesome company. Their technicians are properly trained and they are very professional. Their number one goal is customer service and I was a witness to that when myair conditioner was not working. I called them and they told me what to do with my thermostat, pushing a few buttons here and there. The end result was the best, my air was back on. ** Ive never written a google or yelp review but this company deserved to have both written!This past July I called around to a few different air conditioning companies to see about having our AC unit serviced. It was in one of those conversations with Lana at McGee Refrigeration that she informed me about a twice a year unit service that they offer to rental properties. I learned that they will set up and service the unit before summer and winter. McGee will keep track of service dates and take care of scheduling the visit with the tenant and let me know before and after how it went! Lana was an absolute delight and so friendly!Since it was the first time having this company service our unit I wanted to be there and I also wanted to use the opportunity as an inspection at the property. Tucker and Alan were prompt, professional, considerate, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond just servicing the AC unit at our rental property. They answered questions in a manner that made it simple to understand and made sure I was aware of service that had been done on the unit before was noted. The two were there for about an hour and I was thankful they didnt find anything wrong or needing repair with the unit but actually added some insulation to a line and taped up some wires that were exposed on the unit outside...no extra fees other than the original reasonable amount agreed to in our contract...Winning!Thanks Lana, Tucker, and Alan for the great service from start to finish! This is my first public review ever. McGee Refrigeration came to my rescue when my 29 year old unit went out when it was 98 degrees and I had my elderly mother living with me. They had me a brand new modern unit ordered and installed in no time. Their service was prompt, fair and quick.
