My boyfriend and our family went in to go buy a guitar that was over $500 and the whole time the manager was being so rude a disrespectful. We first asked if he had the certain guitar in stock and he said “ I have a couple but I won’t bring it out unless you plan on buying one” The thing was, we had people coming in to purchase this guitar because we personally already have 2 of them. Then later we asked again and he had the biggest attitude. We understood he was doing something, but he still felt the need to make it known he didn’t want to take the extra 5 minutes to bring out the guitar that we already said we were going to purchase. We came from Sacramento and over here we have never had bad customer service from any of the Guitar Centers. The only reason the guitar was purchased was because they needed it asap and that is the only guitar center that was around. Sir, learn how to treat your customers especially when nobody was being disrespectful towards you.
Recently my son purchased a new Gibson guitar online from this store.When it was received it was in TERRIBLE condition. (shipped from a warehouse in LA) It had scratches, attempted repair jobs, it was most likely a floor model. My son was pretty shooken up as he had spent all summer saving up for a nice $2k guitar and was really nervous about returning or getting money back.Our experience with Jason was 5 star. He kept us informed, offered a full refund with no condition we had to purchase again or only store credit. He also ordered a Martin D16 and inspected it weeks prior to us showing up to the store. We drove 2 hours to see the guitar and it was in perfect condition. He applied credit, left us alone in demo room to discuss it over (not pushy whatsoever) and by the time my son had made up his mind it was a done deal. We had an awesome experience with Jason and we would totally buy from his store again. Thank you! My son is extremely happy with his Martin.
Its a great place and they have a lot of great stuff. They need to be more sensitive to beginners and amateurs. Not everybody that comes in is a professional musician, some of us just decided to pick up a new hobby later in life. Other than that its a great place to shop!
I love music and so do my children. They have an okay selection but not one employee ever asked if we needed help finding anything or interacted with us at all during our visit. It made it awkward . We like to hear them play more music with the different instruments .
People were cool. Went to the Visalia location on Mooney. All of their employees were cool and helpful. Sold me on a bass and a guitar for my son.

I ordered an amp inside the store and cashier told me it will be here for pick up in a week, it took at least like 2 months. No joke. I shop there because well theres not to many stores to buy guitar supplys!
Staff was super great and helpful when I went to buy my husbands first guitar here Ive never went shopping for one and the cashier was the absolute best at showing me the differences between guitars and what are good preferences for beginners she gave me personal opinions as well as customer opinions very helpful. Absolutely loved it here will be coming back for more gear and another guitar when hes ready .

Typically, I am a fan of the guitar center. My eldest son took an interest in the guitar this year and started receiving private lessons. However, all of his equipment is purchased at Guitar Center here in Visalia Ca. Today, I was disappointed in the service that we received. My son made a ship to store purchase and received the email to pick it up. We pulled up at the curbside parking space and checked in. After, about ten minutes my husband went in to check on the items we have a newborn baby so the goal was to avoid going into the store in the first place. Anyway, an associate by the name of Jason accompanied my husband out and requested to see the order number. He said that the ordered wasn’t showing up and seemed very irritated by my questions. His attitude was unnecessary and unwarranted. The next sales associate that helped us was kind and able to secure our items but I did not catch his name. I usually don’t write reviews but I am making an exception.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. My boyfriend and I went in to get help, info and to walk out with a guitar. No one contacted us. Very disappointed in the customer service.

My sons take music lessons here every week. They are prompt, professional, and my boys are learning a lot.
Tried using curbside pickup through email. Even though I got a message saying an associate was bringing my order out, They never did. After 20 minutes I went inside and got my order in person. Nobody had even been working on it. On top of that, they only had half of my order ready. The other half is still in transit...even though I received an email saying my order was ready to pick up. Hopefully Ill have a better experience when I pick up the rest of my order.
They need to upgrade their software to make payments is almost 2022 wth
Ive always had fun at Guitar Center since I was a kid. I recently visited my local site. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. I walked out with arms full of fun. Great deals. I got some hand drums & percussion, then ran back in for a couple wind instruments. They have access to fill any if your musical needs. Give them a visit & see for yourself.

Trying to buy a drum set and no one can really help or answer questions. Im here to but this thing now and the salesperson takes off. Theres only one other customer here and this is unacceptable.
They will know who I am just by my stories, so to avoid awkwardness since i HAVE to go back, i will simply say horrible staff with no knowledge of their products or that they even have the item in stock, when they actually do. I will not be going back...after i have to go back because they didnt tell me what I bought doesnt come with a power supply, and no where on the box did it say power supply not included, and I even asked if it uses batteries or has a power supply, and he didnt say, ya youll need one. I am 45 minutes driving time one way from this guitar center. I also bought a brand new guitar from there and that was a nightmare to say the least. I spent close to $1000 there in about a weeks time, and was actually planning on getting a lot more. Avoid this store at all cost, shop online and save your time and gas.
They are really great at this guitar center, Ive stopped here when in the area 3 times and each time they were very customer friendly and available and eager to help our answer any questions, they have a fairly good selection, Im sure Ill be stopping here again whenever I need some gear and Im in the area.

This Guitar Center is doing the best with the limited space they have. Definitely not the worst Guitar Center I’ve been to, but not even close to be the best. It’s just too small. It got four stars because it’s the best in the area.

Every Guitar Center is different and you never know what type of customer service you will receive. This one is Great and all the employees are ready to help with any musical questions you have. Ive personally had staff go beyond whats expected to help me out.

I ordered a used, left-handed, Ibanez electric guitar on the Guitar Center website. The item was listed in good condition with the only deficit described as scratches on the body. When I received the guitar, the strings, pickups, and frets were rusty. This rust was not disclosed in the listing. It was also missing the whammy bar. I called the store to express my concern about the condition in which the guitar arrived. They offered no solution to this issue. I would exercise caution if you are considering purchasing a guitar from this store. I am very unhappy with my purchase.
Went there for my sons school project of build your own instrument. The tech there was very helpful and almost as excited as we were to help us carry out my sons vision. Great customer service.
How can anyone, child or adult, visit Guitar Center and not be inspired? Walking in, you are greeted with musical instruments galore! Brand new Acoustic Guitars line one wall and gorgeous electric guitars line another. There is a beautiful guitar room and you can play the guitars in there. There is also a room with a variety of drums plus tambourines, congas, bongo drums, drum sticks, and accessories. Moving on youll find another area of keyboards, speakers, microphones and stands and more accessories. There is also soundproof rooms available where lessons are taught and also used as practice rooms. Youll find a wide variety of lesson books, song books, posters, hats and calendars. In my experiences there, most employees are helpful, courteous and seem to enjoy their job.
Friendly service here. Ive also always gotten a fair price on used gear.

Just make sure when you spend about 5 or 6 Grand its what you want they offer half for any trade or deals you try to make

This Guitar Center is great! The employees are always super friendly and helpful, and I love that they now stock band and orchestra supplies, like violin strings. They even had a set of sleigh bells I needed at the last minute during the Christmas season. Once, my acoustic pickup quit functioning and the guy didnt even change me to fix it because it only took him 5 minutes. Sometimes the internet likes to poke fun of Guitar Center, but its not because of the one in Visalia, CA. Theyre amazing.
My brother and I visited the store before he passed about 3 months ago. He wanted to look around at guitars to try out. I remember he played a few of them . He was a prolific guitar player and the staff did not mind him playing them because he could play any tune quite well. We must have spent a couple of hours just listening to others play. Now I wish I would have stayed a few hours more just looking at the various guitars on display. Recently my husband and I shopped near the Guitar Center store and I was filled with memories of that day spent with my brother.
Terrible customer.service. I walked in... walked around the store twice... looked at a guitar for 15 minutes walked up to the counter... never once was approached... never once asked if i could be helped. i stood at the counter for2 minutes while 3 employees just talked with one person (I dont know if it was a customer or their friend). I went on Amazon and got the same guitar for less and recd it in about 3 days
Not only is this store enormous but the employees here are friendly, knowledgeable and talented. Lots of supplies. Instruments and lessons are reasonable.

Worst store manager service! So I help my church get equipment for them. I called to store manager Jacob to help get some speakers for this event coming up. He didnt even ask what speakers or tell me how much they were going for. All he said was I dont make purchases on the phone only in person. Doesnt he want to sell since he works there ??? But he does have the time to promote his business (studio) so just go or call Fresno the good store manager they get rid but keep the ones that want more people for there business

Store was pretty busy as it was black Friday. They didnt have the speaker and wireless microphones I wanted. Had to order both. Perso n that helped me was very helpful and efficient. Spent about 15 minutes in the store. Experience was satisfactory.
My son needed a wireless mic and mentioned going to Guitar Center to rent one. We went and had great service from the staff. The mic satisfied his needs, everyone else seemed happy also. Returned with no problems, thanks Guitar Center.

I was searching for a beginners base guitar for my nephew. Can be overwhelming with all the options and variety of instruments the store offers for someone who knows nothing about guitars like me however, it’s like she sensed I was lost in my mind. Viviana was so patient with my ramblings and lack of knowledge about base guitars. She deserves credit for her customer service and I bought something primarily because of her. Good place to go to for questions and friendly service.
I like going to this Guitar Center. The staff is super friendly. Im a beginner at guitar and I dont know too much about the components to a guitar. Was shopping for some acoustic strings and had no idea there were different gauges. The staff helped me decide with ones were the best for my playing experience.
Customer service skills at this store are lacking and half the stuff I came in for was not on the shelves. The clerks do not greet, inquire, nor thank a customer. Im sticking to buying my stuff online from Guitar Center or Sweetwater. The last Guitar Center I was in Texas and I received good service there. I was willing to give this guitar center a chance because it was local and wanted some quick items.

Bought a guitar there for Christmas. Jeff was extremely helpful and knew the differences between the guitars pickups to better pare down my selection based on what I wanted. He even asked what amp I was using so we could hear the sound correctly. I got a great deal with no hurry or push. Will buy there again.
I have had really great experiences with the kind and knowledgeable staff that work at this location. Although Guitar Center isnt always known for their high quality, the staff Ive dealt with have made sure that everything Ive gotten has been up to good standards or fixed things so that I was satisfied.

I brought in my Stratocaster to be fixed a few days ago. I first spoke with Ryan and he said I could leave it with them overnight and call to check if their technician got a chance to look at it yet. I work close by, so the next day I went and checked. I spoke with Scott, the tech, and he apologized for not having a chance to look at it yet, but said hell give me the Platinum package to fix it. I paid and he informed me to call later that night to check on the status. I did and he informed me that itd be done in a couple days, that following Tuesday (today), due to how much work needs to be done. I made it clear that theres no need to rush and he can take his time because Im sure he has many others to look over, so I didnt mind that wait. Once I got the call today that its ready for pick-up, I went over and checked it out. Scott did a fantastic job fixing up my instrument. It almost looks and sounds brand new. I couldnt be happier with his service and wish I could thank him in person. By any chance he or a supervisor is reading this, please let him know about how well he did. If I need any future help with my guitar, Ill be coming back.
Order something online to pick up at store. I walk in the store and there was no one to help me only one employee and manager was on a little smoke break so I had to call him from outside to help me because his employee couldnt leave the front to guard the door. I still had to wait 20 minutes for him to look for my product that I had ordered. So I got mad and just left. Their management sucks. This store is a mess
Just been playing Bass Guitar (Fathers Day Gift from my children) for 5 months and just couldnt find a strap that fit me and the way I wanted to hold my Bass. Just asked and got help straight away and the perfect strap. And it was less $ then any others I could find. Also got some stage lights for my band. Most importantly is how kind, patient and friendly they are especially to the children that come in. This is more then a Guitar Store - It is a human & music inspiration center
Clerks behind the counter at Visalia Guitar Center usually dont know whats going on. I asked about Presidents Day Sale, they look at each other then at a paper on the counter. I was interested in a bass amp, but decided I didnt want it from these guys. Makes me feel like searching for the places operated by real musicians (theyre still out there somewhere) not kids, or just order from Sweetwater or B & H and have it delivered to my workplace. No taxes from B & H.

I came in the store to trade a few items and the female associate and manager down graded my products to give me the lowest price possible. I brought a $200 mixer in the store with a $200 expansion and got $60. What a rip off! Everything was in great condition. Lost customer!!!expansion
I was shopping for Yamaha keyboards for GKids. Store seems to have wide selection, in stock. Sales person did not have knowledge of products, then excused herself to go in the back. Never came back. Manager very fussy busy with papers across the room, never sent help. If I buy from G.C, Ill go online only.
