Awesome local game shop. They have a ton of different games and even have a dedicated gaming room to play with friends.

I was there couple of weeks ago to buy Chess Sets.Service is exceptional. Very helpful and knowledgeable. However we are just a bit disappointed that they dont have enough Chess Sets to pick from. They either have the cheap plastic ones or they have the super expensive ones.I just wish that they improve their inventory because all and all this place has a lot of good stuff in it and has a very friendly vibe to it.

Great game store and amazing staff. They are always willing to answer your questions no matter how many question you have. The employees always give you their full attention, something very rare these days. Could I save more money buying online sure, but the staff treats my kids and I liked we actually matter and for that I don’t mind spending the extra cash. Somewhat suppressed because of the pandemic, but an employee told me they are planning to open their game room in July when State restrictions are eased. I am so glad to see the store open again. Awesome shop with nearly every type of boardgame you can think of. Great amount of figures, paints, and other items for Warhammer and D&D. They also have cards like Pokémon, Magic, and other card games along with the top/side loaders of all again! They have a room where people can play matches of card games. Friendly staff. I cant stress enough how helpful both of the guys there were and ensured I purchased the cards I needed vs what I THOUGHT I needed but really didnt. I ended up purchasing about 40 bucks more and also was told of some upcoming seasonal products to look forward to.

Wow, what can I say? I have recently gotten into Warhammer 40K and I go into the store to get my first beginner items to help me along. Multiple people came in and gave me tips on how to paint and what paints to buy for my miniatures and gave me good hints to what I should do next. Not only that, the staff were incredible individuals who loved what they were doing and were a joy to be around. When I was buying my models, a guy even gave me 3 extra to experiment out with and to see what paints works and to give me an extra boost. Whoever that was, give that man a raise. Anyways, if you are a beginner into anything they sell or an experienced veteran, I would highly suggest you buy from this establishment and talk to the loving staff there. I have been going to Pair-a-Dice for awhile now. They have a huge selection of board games that it can sometimes be a little overwhelming, but that is where the staff come in. The staff that work here are very welcoming. If you are looking for something particular they can point you in the right direction and might even recommend a game that may become a new favorite of yours. During this crazy time having someplace which can give you a game to play with your family or close friends safely is amazing.

I live 2 hours away, but make special trips to this store. It has an amazing selection and decent prices. There is an In-n-Out Burger in the same parking lot, so I highly recommend parking behind the building.

Since I found Pair A Dice games after moving here I havent been to another store. The staff is exceptional and very knowledgeable. They have helped guide me into finding new games that appeal to my interests, the community behind them and the events they hold (subject to change due to current national/global situation), and the variety of items they offer. They even offered specific events in a learning environment for upcoming kids to learn and enjoy the world of gaming. I will continue to support the company and staff here.

Best place to sell magic cards, pays top dollar if u got a good set going on ...

Ive been to this location multiple times and every time I had gone I was greeted with a simple Hello and asked if I needed anything to simple ask the associates working at the desk which in my case is a big plus, since I like to browse at my own leisure without having someone hovering over me the entire time. There is a wide array of games and trading card product to browse from and the staff are very knowledgeable about all the products they carry. Overall I would very much recommend this location for those looking for War game, Card game and Board game related ventures.

Pair A Dice Games is the best source for gaming supplies in the North County area of San Diego county.

Despite being on the phone to place an order with your distributor when I first arrived at the store, the employee finished his call and then came to find me in the store to see what I needed help with. He was able to quickly answer my questions and sell me the product(s) I was looking for before moving on to help the other customer that had come into the store while I was waiting. The store was open for sales, but not in the in-store play area during the present Social Distancing efforts and is enforcing customer entry limits (7) and requiring face masks to enter the store.

This is a great store to visit if you have an itching for any type of board or card games. It has a wide selection of every type of board game to look for. It also carries warmachine and warhammer models, they have a great selection of warmachine/hordes models but only has a small selection of warhammer(40k and age of Sigmar). They also carry magic the gathering cards and paints. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. However if you have never been to a boardgame store the prices might be a scare.

Would like to add now that COVID is not stopping in person gaming, their are great patrons there to pick up games with. I loved being able to walk in and poke my head at the gaming tables and before long being invited to pull up a seat. Pair A Dice has a great area of tables allow big Tabletop war gaming or just MtG to be played. I wish I could give this place 6 Stars.Really cant say enough good about this place.First off I am glad they are open during these trying times of COVID.Second the staff is very helpful, every time I there they are discussing the latest info on games with the customers, helping them find whatever it is they came in for, and being overall gamers at heart.Third I want to give a shout out to Tom (I belive that is his name) for taking time to try and order me some 3in bases for some Reaper Bones minitures Im painting and for giving me excellent advice on brushes.I only started shopping here after COVID but I cant wait until they allow customers to set at tables and play games again. Ive been coming here for 10 years and its always a pleasure to go to. Ive gamed here with friends, purchased their products, and the staff is top notch! Definitely my favorite gaming store.

When we came into the store we had no idea what we were looking for as we are new to table top games. The employee that helped us took us around to all different types of games and explained to us the differences. It was above and beyond what I feel most employees would do. The next weekend when we came by to buy another game he remembered us and our previous purchase and asked how we had liked it. Definitely happy that we decided to check the store out and we will buy most if not all of our games here from now on. The prices are fair, pretty much mirroring Amazon on most products (sometimes even cheaper) and by shopping here instead of Amazon we are helping a local business and putting money back into the community. And we get the game the same day!

The store is well stocked, with a busy (when I visited) section for gaming. There seemed to be an adequate amount of staff, though the attention to their customers could have been better. My main complaint here would have to be the utter lack of organization in how the games are shelved. It was very frustrating attempting to find things, and I finally had to go to the counter and ask them to check stock. Having said that, I would go back, as the variety of games they carry is much larger than most stores Ive been in.

It’s like a Barnes&Noble for table-top games, but I definitely enjoy Pair A Dice Games more! While you browse the wares there are live games being played in the next room and you really get to feel the excitement of it all. It’s a great set up and worth repeat visits!

Great place for those that enjoy board games and local gaming events. Pair of Dice holds weekly event in an area inside the store off the merchandise floor. All events are posted on an easel in the store but one can obtain the information via website and or the store employees. As one that enjoys a good old fashion board game once in a while, this place has it all. The layout is not the largest store but it is well designed and has a board game for everyone of any age. From the classics to the newer legacy, series, and story building games. Deck builders, timeline era themes, and dungeon and dragons just to name a few. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful with each one having there personal genres to help guide those unsure on choosing from the many selections to choose from. There is also a membership card to rack up awards.

Great selection...I liked that I could browse to find a solo Eurogame thats somewhat unknown and not stocked by the major online sellers: Expo 1906 which is themed around LEsposizione Internazionale del Sempione,115 years ago in Milan. Try that search online and youll get endless pages of dry-erase marker suggestions.

How have I not been here before?!? They have an extensive and excellent selection of games. Everything from casual party games to multi session long campaign games. The staff are all huge game nerds. So just talk to them about the kind of games youve played before and youll definitely get recommendations from them on other games you might like or even styles of gameplay youve never heard of before that you might like. My only complaint is that the shelves are organized by game manufacturer. So similar games are not together on the shelves. Plan on spending some time browsing.There is also a game room next door that is free to use. Lots of tables and chairs. Set yourself up with some friends and play some games youve just bought or bring your own.

Been coming here since I was a kid. Know the owner personally, and used to play cards with his son. Rick the owner is a nice man and try’s really hard to please all customers with an array of games and things to see and look at. Very impressed how his Magic the Gathering collection has grown over the years (never looked like that 15 years ago, kinda wish it had). I would recommend this card shop to anyone and everyone looking to get into card games or dice games as a whole.

I love this place, It seems to have everything I want, AND I can assure myself that I wont get lost in this Bookstore.. Got a bit sidetracked in the Newton bookstore.. This is more or less a perfect little gaming store. Half of the store is set aside for play, and you can even rent a comfortable room with a microwave and sink. Their selection is unmatched; Ive never gone there and not been able to find a game, as long as it is even vaguely in print. They regularly host events of all types. The staff is uniformly friendly and knowledgeable. They even sell snacks. Highly recommended.

Best inventory south of Orange County!! Always a go to, we never leave the San Diego area without a stop at our favorite game store. That is if we hadnt already planned an entire weekend around spending the day there playing games. The staff is always wonderful. Tom is our usual go to. The shop is always clean and tidy, bathrooms are top notch. Serious gaming stores are always struggling to keep clean bathrooms but these guys have it down.

Ive always liked board games, but as a kid I didnt really get into any obscure games. Monopoly and Risk were pretty much the norm. Maybe if I really wanted to get crazy, Id play a game of Axis and Allies.But Pair a Dice ROCKS! The community is great, the team is helpful, and the selection is massive. If they have it, theyll show it to you, theyve played it, and theyll tell you what if youll like it or not. If they dont have it, theyll be happy to get it for you.I also LOVE Amazon Prime. I buy almost everything through there, except my boardgames, card games or any other game! I head down to Pair a Dice for those.I would (and do) recommend this store and team. Theyre amazing!
