Matt is a fair, honest and trustworthy master mechanic. He takes care of 2 cars for me. 2013 Honda Ridgeline and a 2001 4 runner. His prices are very fair and reasonable. I highly recommend his services.

Spoke to Matt on the phone about my a/c not working like it should. He gave me a great price over the phone to have it serviced but if I had a leak, it would cost more depending on the repair. Makes sense. Dropped off the car, within 15 minutes Matt had diagnosed the problem and found a leaking discharge hose. The part was in stock at the dealership and he gave me the price for parts and labor. I agreed and Matt started the repair. When I picked it up, Matt told me the dealership gave him the wrong price for the hose and the bill was actually $50 cheaper than what he quoted me. That easily could have gone in his pocket and I wouldn’t have known the difference. You can tell that Matt is an honest and skilled mechanic. My air is ice cold and the job was done in just a couple of hours.I would highly recommend this garage for your auto repairs.

Called around to a few places for the belt on my SUV breaking. Matt was the first person to engage me with questions about what happened and what I knew was wrong. He worked fast to diagnose the issues and looked for anything else as it is a newly purchased used car. He kept me up to date on any issues and had me back on the road the day after I dropped it off. Very nice and personable. I felt like I was being treated a lot better than some of the places, to include big name companies, back on the mainland. If I have any more issues with either of my vehicles, I will likely be a return customer.

Looking for a great auto guy for your air conditioning problems? I was told about Matt at Sunset Auto Repair, but Kawamata Brothers in Haleiwa. My air conditioning in my Nissan Frontier was acting up, and with the Humid weather lately, it was brutal. Took my truck to Matt, when down the street for Breakfast at Zippys, and two hours later he had my car blowing cool air again. And on top of that, the bill was so reasonable. If you live in the North Shore, Waialua, Wahiawa area, he is your man.BVA
