The Cars we were being shown here had buttons falling off, overpriced for how old these cars are & the mileage. We pointed out all the fluids on a car we were looking at were overfilled and he told us it won’t hurt the vehicle. Another car we looked at, he turned on and the belt was screeching so he just sprayed a can of belt conditioning on it and called it good. Imagine how the “mechanics” actually repair these cars. Majority of his cars are donated cars that he hasn’t even had in his lot long enough to inspect and will still try to sell it to you with no warranty. So ya better hope it doesn’t stop working on you tomorrow. Super sketch. We just went to a dealership instead.

Linn will rip u off,bought a car from him and immediately had problems with it,the reverse goes out,then the top wouldnt work,the the head gasket leaked....and this in the same month,he wouldnt help me at all,he thought it was funny and started making jokes.... Yeah....jokes on him,my credit card company didnt think it was funny either,and when i showed them the repair bills,they canceled the sale and took the money back....in the meantime, I got all the bugs out the car,and it runs PERFECTLY.....and I have a 3,000 car that I dont have to pay for......GOD DONT LIKE UGLY!!!!!.....BTW....if the safety and registration is out,u will have to pay for that too....they will not update it,and will let u drive off the lot with expired tags

Most cars have broken door handles, mirrors, or check engine lights on here. If youre serious about getting a car here, dont let the owner finesse you into buying anything that isnt quality and working.

Lone Star has a great selection of inventory. Lam answered all my questions and I bought my car with no hassles. I was stressed about choosing the right car but Lam was patient and let me take my time deciding on the right car for me.

The owner ignored me the whole time I was there. When he didn’t ignore me, he spoke with rude arrogance and acted as if he had better things to do than help a potential customer; like spray rattle cans on the dents on his ugly cars in an attempt to make them look better. You can get the same quality cars on craigslist/OfferUp. If you insist on a dealership go elsewhere, if your interested in their “buy here pay here” just don’t because your getting ripped off.Thanks!

I recommend Lone Star for your next used car deal.We shopped 3 other Honolulu car dealers and Lone Star had the best inventory of them all.We didnt have to haggle on the price and the people there are very nice and friendly.

If I could give less stars I would. Horrible customer service. The sales man we were dealing with was extremely rude and arrogant. Asked him simple question about the car and he refused to answer then tried to argue with me about something he had no clue what he was talking about (I’ve been around cars my entire life and my dads a mechanic). Absolutely horrible. Would not recommend. Can get better cars for a better price off Facebook market place. Don’t waste your time.

I went to this dealership twice. Each time I called about the car and spoke to the owner, when I get there the sales manager tells me theres actually something wrong with the car. Wasted my time twice. Manager seemed like he had better things to do than talk to me, was on his phone trying to book a flight while I was face to face with him. You get what you pay for and I would not recommend wasting your time here.I went to the manager and tried to explain why I was upset. I told him as a small business owner I wanted him to understand the basis of my bad review. He basically said they sell thousands of cars so a few bad complaints doesnt really bother them.My opinion that this place is poorly managed with a breakdown in communications between staff. The people are friendly but definitely a dysfunctional dynamic happening here.

Well my experience was good. I got a little wiggle room and took the deal. After i changed the oil, fluids, and air filter etc, she runs good for a car with 100+k miles. Good prices if you dont want to finance or have bad credit. Inhouse financing as well.Oh.. and a electric Window motor was broken when i bought it, the owner had the mechanic fix it before i took possession without a fuss.

By far the fastest transaction buying a car ever. From the time I walked onto the lot to the time I drove off of the lot with my new 2004 Camry it was not more than an hour tops. Lots of cars to choose from and very good prices on the cars.

If I could 0 stars i would. My wife and I bought a car here and it broke down and was totalled 3 days later. The mechanics at the dealership said it was cleared of faults and the only thing wrong was the paint job. We test drove it, and it ran fine. Until all of the electronics went out 3 days later.The owner refused to work with us period on either repairing it or compensating the loss.

Buying the car was so smooth! New to the island, he sold us a car he said hed put his daughter in. Later, we learn that in order to change the registration, we have to get a safety check, we dont have that in CA. Then were stranded in the middle of the night with no one who can get us, later bought a new radiator for $70. Fixing the crack in the windshield was another $309. Replacing a hose in the hood along with two clamps, and puttting the fans in right came out to be around $597. We bought the car for $1600. Guess what, still wont pass safety. Odometer has to be working (unlike in CA) AND the air bag has something wrong with it. I forgot to mention the $30 i had to spend on the first windshield wipers i could find because one of them flew off during a storm on the highway.By far the WORST possible place to buy a car from. Lene said to my dad that hed put hisown daughter in that car.

PERFECT FOR MY NEEDS!I HAVE PURCHASED more than one car,....and for the price they have lasted me over 8 yrs; small minor fixes and maintenance neccessary. If you ARE NOT MECHANICALLY INCLINED you will be disappointed,....but the cars are very well worth their value. A van lasted me more than 10 years for $700.00 so really---THIS IS INCREDIBLE~~~ If you have need to complain,...it is because you need to go pay 30-50K and get that service!!! I dealt directly with Linne the owner. He is direct, honest and does exactly what he says he will do. I had him sell my truck on consignment/auction since I couldnt sell it on Craigslist before I moved from Hawaii to Florida. I admit to being a bit anxious about leaving a $25000 truck with him and moving 6,000+ miles away.He sold it quickly and got us a fair price. Money was wired to me promptly.I put a lot of faith in this used car salesman and he lived up to all my expectations. I dont know why some people have left negative reviews, but my situation was certainly one for which a dishonest person could have taken advantage. Linne has my trust.

By the look at all the cars there i would never recomend going here unless you want trash cars for craigslist price, i was looking at a 2004 beetle from here he wanted 1600 for it had coffee spilled all over the interior, both door panels missing, and was rear ended.

Quality of vehicles is hit or miss, mostly poor because lone star sells repos and salvaged wrecks.lone star also sells donated vehicles which are sold exclusively to them by kokua in kind, a charity center for 200 local charities.i know this because i donated a truck to charity via kokua in kind. they then sold the truck to lone star for $100 the next day. i saw the truck posted on craigslist by lone star, for $2495. so the charity gets $100 and lone star gets the rest. im bummed because both the charity and myself could have used more money.their appeal is poor because the lot is very unorganized, fluid spills all over the ground, dismantled cars and parts lying around, and greasy mechanics lurking about. the office is musty and the employees look grouchy.the service is poor because the sales manager who wears the neck tie is rude and thinks he is doing you a favor by selling you a vehicle. he kept walking away from my friend. manager had to be chased to get help, and then the other lone star manager had my friend test drive a car, but only in their parking lot, because the tags were expired. when asked what happens if he buys it and it drives bad on the freeway, the sales managers answer was if you had a baby youd find a good doctor right? well you need to find a good mechanic if you buy a car.seriously?!?needless to say, my friend did not buy a car there. and we tell all our friends to stay away from lone star motosports.
