I hit a deer hard, messed up the entire front end. I thought my van was totaled. My insurance company suggested Berger’s because they were in their network and it was the closest auto body shop to me. The day I dropped off the van for the estimate and after meeting Kevin and his staff I knew I was gonna have the work done there. They were very professional yet laid back and very friendly. They also got me squared away in a very nice rental, which really helped because finding a place that has rentals somewhat close to where I live was proving to be close to impossible. One stop shop so far so good.By the next day they already had the estimate sent to my insurance Co and my van wasn’t totaled…I still couldn’t imagine it looking half way decent again. Within 10 days they had my van completely finished, washed up and also did an oil change! They went way over and above what they had to to make me a satisfied customer. I was ecstatic and definitely recommend this business to anybody and everybody. Berger B&G restored our faith in humanity. After an accident disabled our car, they efficiently towed us in, helped us find a hotel, dropped us off, and worked double-time to get parts and make repairs to get us back on the road as quickly as possible. The repairs they made with new parts were impeccable, and the creative solutions to unavailable parts were implemented with consummate skill. As if that werent enough, the cost was reasonable and everyone in their outfit was amiable, reliable, and delightfully competent. We are forever beholden!

My daughter, whos in a wheelchair, and I were stuck on the highway as our Mazda wouldnt start. It was very hot out and AAA contacted them for a tow. The guy came to help us within 20 minutes or so. He loaded up our vehicle and gave my daughter and I a ride to motel. Then he took our vehicle to the shop to be looked at the next morning. I was contacted about our vehicle and that the engine was toast. We live 2 1/2 hours away. We were stuck with no one to pick us up and give us a ride home. The bosses son, gave us a ride all the way home and it was definitely cheaper than a taxi. He was VERY NICE!! Everyone that I dealt with were EXTREMELY HELPFUL and very nice to my daughter and I. He was a LIFESAVER in our time of need. I dont know what we would have done without his help. THANKS VERY MUCH TO ALL at Bergers Body Shop. They supposedly replaced all my brake lines. Less than a year later my brakes went out in the middle of moorhead. Took to a garage in moorhead to find out they simply spliced a few new lines into the old ones. Its only sheer luck I wasnt in an accident or worse. This kind of shady practice literally endangered my life. I reccomend no one use them for their own safety. They clearly have no moral code or ethics

My auto insurance set me up with Bergers, and I couldnt be happier with the tow service provided by Dillon! He kept me in the loop as far as his eta, and also helped me find a reputable auto shop in Fargo (where I needed to be towed).

At Bergers Body & Glass they will get your car fixed up so its as good as it was before a car accident or if you have mechanical problems they can help fix that to, they also sell tires to.

I experienced car trouble while visiting Wahpeton and needed to be towed. I contacted my roadside assistance through my insurance and was told the Bergers would be coming to tow me. After an extremely long wait, and several phone calls, both to my insurance company and Bergers, it appears my insurance company was calling the wrong company and had never called Bergers. When they finally got things straightened out, the truck was there right away, had my vehicle loaded and on the way. It was a brutally cold day and Dylan was very quick, professional, and got the job done.

No job is to big or to small whether its in the powder coating department, Linex department, mechanical or auto body department big or small we will try it all!!! Id give 10 stars if I could, these guys were such a massive help. Called to have a new radiator installed, they immediately sent a tow truck and had my car ready within hours. They even let me pick up my car after hours. Now Ill be able to make it to work tomorrow.Another shop I called quoted me $100 more than Berger charged me and couldnt get my car in for another couple weeks.

Ive read all the other reviews and felt I needed to share my experience.It was a recent Sunday evening. -7 outside and the wind was blowing making it -20 below. Had a flat tire. Unfortunately, discovered that my spare tire was located under my van. Could not get the tire to drop, no matter what I did. Enter Kevin and his son.Shop was closed but I took a chance and called anyway. Figured I could at least get a tow truck to help change the tire. All their trucks were already out on runs. He suggested if I could limp into the shop his son would see what he could do. Once I got there, even though they were closed for the weekend, they tried and helped. Of course, I needed a new tire.They offered me a loaner car to get me back on my way. No deposit, no questions asked. Just old fashion trust. THAT doesnt happen these days.Fast forward a couple days. They ended up replacing two tires (of course after talking to me) and I come to pick up the van. I show up not knowing that they prefer cash or check. They gave me the bill AND my keys and said, oh just send us a check. I have never met Kevin or his staff before this. They had NO CLUE who I was. Total mutual trust and respect.So, like I said, I have read the other reviews. I respect their opinions of what might have happened to them. I wanted to share my totally positive experience. Kevin has gained a customer for life for me!

15 plus years of having Bergers do body work for us. Kevin and his crew go above and beyond to make your vehicle right. In our most recent experience, our car was back sooner than expected. The replaced parts were painted flawlessly, you cannot even tell the car was ever damaged. Bonus, they cleaned the inside of the car so well youd never know children ride in the car. Thanks for another terrific experience.

You guys were nice, friendly, and fast, which I really appreciate! However, I did not appreciate being over charged for a service that only took 10 minutes literally and your shop is only about 3 minutes away from my apartment.

My son went into the ditch. Then a truck came along and hit the ditch in the same spot and totaled my sons car. The wrecker service was called by the local law enforcement to come get the vehicles. They came out with a wrecker to get the truck but told my son that they were not risking their lives to go back out and get his car. I guess I dont understand - why was the truck who hit him worth the risk and not my sons car? They rushed right out to get the truck but when we called them to ask about the car they were rude, obnoxious, unprofessional and probably other words I cant use here? I wouldnt have this place do anything for me.And then the following day, my son went to pick up some items out of his car after it had been towed in. They initially tried to hold his personal items hostage because of this negative review. Then the guys wife insulted his girlfriend and used nasty unprofessional language towards both of them. They have dogs running all over the place and one of the dogs ran up to my sons girlfriend and peed on her leg. And yeah - you guessed it - not even an apology. So I guess if you want to go someplace where unruly dogs are going to run all around you and pee all over you while you get berated by a husband and wife team that wrote the book on unprofessionalism, then this is the place for you.

Had tires balanced not even mounted on vehicle. Charged for de-mount, balance and mount. $25....1 tire. Quote over phone was $16. This happened a few years ago. Figured Id give them a chance being theyre a preferred state farm repair shop. Called for quote after an accident. High quote which was fine. Insurance pays it not me. Quote did not list OEM repair parts either. High quality repair parts would be nice, of course. Especially on an insurance repair. Very skeptical about honesty at this place. Will avoid in future

Detailing of my car was substandard. Expected more than what I got from them. They did redo it, which was better the second time around. Much appreciated!

Only gave 1 star for one reason... I couldnt give zero. Horrible crooks. My truck was less than 5 miles from their shop and they charged $400 for the tow, and did twice as much damage as the accident.

The mechanics they have dont know about anything underneath that hood. Give them a perfectly good vehicle that just needs a bit of tweaking, and they decided to do whatever they wanted to the vehicle. On top of that, once we got it back, there were bolts missing off the alternator! And hoses loose! Completely unsafe to drive home. Many people could have died had we not had a second party look at the engine.I wish I could give zero stars for these people. They have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Made multiple people cry walking out and getting done on the phone with because the cruel and heartless way that they approach you.I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

Bergers helped us out with a tow and got my truck back on the road when the rear drive shaft u-joint failed as we were passing through Fergus Falls.Their price was very reasonable as well and they got us back on the road as soon as the parts came in. Fantastic service!

They dont know anything about cars. They will ruin your vehicle, and then charge you for it. They lie and nickle and dime you. Poor service. No communications. They told me to walk home at one point because they didnt have a loaner car. They use harsh language.I doubt they will be in businesse for long. They way they treat their customer.. or anyone.

I normally do not write reviews when I am upset with a company but this situation warrants my first review post.My 2013 GMC Sierra with 50K miles on it got a scratch in the door while parked in the parking lot at work. The individual responsible for the damage agreed to pay for the repair and asked that I take the vehicle to Berger’s in Wahpeton, ND. I went to get my vehicle from Berger’s upon completion and proceeded to drive into Wahpeton. 2 miles down the road my warning light starts flashing stating that I had no oil pressure. I pulled the vehicle into McDonald’s parking lot and checked the oil finding the level to be at the appropriate range on the dipstick. I called Berger’s to ask what they did that may have caused the issue. I was first told that my battery was more than likely dead from the doors being left open while they were working on it. The mechanic got on the phone and asked if I could drive the vehicle back to the shop, and I told him I was not going to drive the vehicle with the warning alarm going off and no oil pressure. They said they would come to McDonald’s and tow my vehicle back to the shop and take a look at it on Monday.When I called Monday to see what was going on the owner, Kevin Berger, got on the phone and told me that it was a revolving joke around the shop that I ran out of oil and was trying to blame them. It immediately frustrated me to think that I was being made fun of for something that I did not do. Kevin first claimed that they added oil and the issue went away and then later changed his story to that they did an oil change. He claimed that the vehicle must have been like that when I dropped the vehicle off. I told him there was no way that I would have drove my vehicle 55 miles with no oil pressure to fix a paint scratch. We argued back and forth for a while on the matter and Kevin agreed to waive the fee for the tow if I paid for the oil change. I had a family member pick up my vehicle since I live out of town, they were charged $105 for what Berger’s said was just an oil change. I had a co-worker call Berger’s to get a quote for an oil change on the same year, make, and model of vehicle and he was quoted $42.I strongly recommend taking your vehicle to Bergers if you like being lied to and taken advantage of.
