It’s the store that has it all!! Groceries, cool products from Japan … even amazing toys for the kids, either on shelves or on vending machines!! Totally LOVE this place!! ☺️🤙
Great shopping experience. Lots of amazing and affordable items! Im pleased with their selection of Japanese food products also. I cant wait to go back and discover more products from Japan.
This store has been a part of Oahu for a very long time. I have loved shopping here since I was a kid and still love it. They have so much variety of different things from groceries to many different Asian products for your household needs and a poke bar that has delicious poke as well. I definitely recommend shopping here and the prices are so reasonable. Don Quijote is my go to grocery store they also they have a food court inside if your looking for a quick bite.
Don Quijote at Waipahu. East end of Waipahu on Farrington Hwy. Between Zippys and rail station.Property change several times. Former Gems and Daiei, now a Don Quijote of Japan bought out the business. Sell US and Asian grocery/goods. Open 24 hours. Sale starts Sunday to Saturday. Weekly paper ads or sign up online. Small Food court inside.
Good meat selection, good place to go for your oriental cooking supplies. Was a little let down there were no windmills to fight.
Friendly staff as you enter and a wide variety of products from good veggies and Fruits to a sorted types of liquor and nick nacks and some collectable Toys and crafts. Not your typical grocery store..So much more than that
It was different, that is they sell mostly stuff that you wont find in other stores.
The hours are very helpful for people who work odd schedules. The prices are even better, Some of the prices I saw in the Waipahu Don Quijote were even better than on the mainland in Washington state!! This grocery store was the first one I went to when I moved to Oahu, and the prices made me realize I could still eat how I wanted to and be able to afford it. Spent about $200 and filled up the fridge for two people. This place is really good for frozen items and meat, as well as produce (a lot of the produce is from Hawaii as well, so that’s a big plus in my book!) and a few canned items were reasonably priced as well. Don Quijote has definitely become one of my main grocery stores when doing my monthly food shopping trip! I always go here first. They also have their weekly advertisement listed online, so it made planning and budgeting for what I needed and the prices I needed it at much better. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful as well! Thank you!
Dont buy the vegetables in the bag, its all hard and old .
Great place to pick up things you cant find in other grocery stores. Need some Japanese food products or drinks? You come here for the convenience. You need some instant noodles, you come here at 10 pm, they stay open 24 hours.
This supermarket is amazing. I like that it open 24 hours. The people there are friendly.
Don Quijote is a good place to buy a lot of local vegetables and ethnic foods. The food court is really big and whatever food you buy you can eat there comfortably. I enjoy going there.
Love Don Quijote! Minus one star as I noticed it was kinda smelly this particular day but thats not normal. Excellent customer service always, and the food court is Awesome, I highly recommend the Pastrami Sandwich from Bale!
I only shop here to buy vegetables. This place is drastically cheaper than whole foods, down to Earth, and Safeway. Once the rail construction ends, the parking lot will be easier to navigate. The staff is friendly and quick. I love how the cashiers will vehemently enforce the Express checkout item limit. Not the biggest fan of the food court: dingy, dark, and in need of a facelift. My advice is to get your plate to go. Easily the best selection of Chinese and Japanese ingredients.
Amazing Deals! Especially as a small business local food owner, the produce department had great customer service and great prices compared to other places! But Id still go to Walmart for laundry soap. But other than that, everything was great!Great customer service at Produce and great customer service at check out!
Great selection of Asian foods, fruits, and veggies.
This store has so many things you may be looking for and several more you didn’t know you needed. It can be a little overwhelming with how many options they have but don’t knock it until you try it! It’s nothing fancy, but definitely a good one stop shop for those hard to find food items and/ or little trinkets. Definitely a great place for all your get together needs.
I will always remember the previous names of Don Quijote.... Holiday Mart and Gems! They still have a great Asian selection. Best place to find BIG rice cookers. Camping supplies other store dont carry!
Asia ingredients if you cant find, most likely it would be here. Love the hot food. They also have a food court which isnt too bad either.
Wide varieties of Asian products. At night they start marking down hot and cold deli items. You can. Find some good deals there. The cashiers are so friendly..the best thing about it is that you find some items like you see I japan
I understand its the Holidays but Management should be prepare Specially Knowing that the Fire Works sales will be creating lines of 30 min plus. Shame on you management. Other than that Cashiers and other staff were trying their best, for you guys GREAT JOB!
Im glad I got to shop when not so busy. Staff super friendly. Aisles are nice and spacey for my mobility scooter. Great place to buy groceries.
Great Supermarket with everything you could possibly need. A friendly staff are always willing to help you choose just what you want. The freshest fish absolutely did most tender steak on the island can be found at this wonderful store. They also have a fast food takeaway counter with daily specials and tasty broasted chicken too!
This two stars is not for don quijote I give them 5 stars, but I give 2 stars for the Filipino food in there food court. Went there yesterday the food tasted spoil, i told the man that worked there all he said was sorry... but keep in mind the food must be sitting there for a while I guess I will not be eating there again
Wow. great place to shop. First time I was here I didnt have the chance to look around, only been there to use the bathroom, which was clean and well kept. Second time, it was a place filled with so much produce and merchandise to choose from. Shirts, hard, electronics, restaurants, ready made food, local produce and many other things in here. They accept cash, credit/debit, EBT. Bathroom available, different restaurants to eat at theres about 5 or 6 of them I think. Good place to shop and relax as well.
A general store in every sense of the word.. Supermarket, food court (mostly Japanese and Filipino foods), household, clothing, electronics, etc. If you cant find it there, you probably cant find it anywhere... Heavy on Japanese and local foods and products.. Not fancy but fun!
This place has everything you can imagine. I recommend buying stuff that youre unlikely to return. I purchased some RCA cables and returned them because they wouldnt transfer the signal; but the rep gave me a hard time-asking what I meant and if I plugged them in correctly. Not as effortless as Costco or a big chain. In a sense you could say that its a huge store with great variety, but they operate like a small mom and pop establishment when it comes to returning stuff.
Love to show in this absolutely huge store! Have everything I want and cant find anywhere else! Plus its open 24)7! What more could you ask for? Oh, great prices during sales too!
I shop here very often because its not to far from home. They have a variety of merchandise to choose from and their prices are fair, compared to your usual grocery store. The hours of business is very convenient since heyrere open 24 hrs. everyday, except on certain holidays. The checkout lines are usually long especially between 3 and 10 pm however....the cashiers are quick at ringing you up, bagging your groceries and sending you on your way so if your in a line at the check outs....no worries because you wont be waiting in line for very long.
Wide variety of produce at very reasonable prices. Huge inventory of household items, A-Z. One stop shop. Friendly and helpful employees.
Undoubtedly one of my least fave DQ. Floor plan took a little bit to get used to. I did notice produce is generally luck of the draw either its super fresh or super dead.. its not a bad store just needs a little work.
Im from Maui. We dont have one on the island. When I go to Oahu, theyre the place I like to go to. So much variety of things, especially from Japan. I love it.
Don Quijote is a great place to shop I enjoy it the atmosphere, food court. And everything else for what youare looking for
Great raw fish selections
Everything you need if youre a local along with a healthy mix of stuff thats hard to get outside of Japan. Waipahu especially is a good store. Second best parking of any Don Quijote on Oahu.
Don Quijote has excellent short rib stew. Portion was wonderful with lots of rice and stew gravy - yumm!Very friendly Filipino lady servers.
They have things other stores dont have.I love walking around and looking at everything. Some really good deals too
They have everything. The price for meats are very affordable. Love it there. Wish they would move into the old Kapolei KMart.
Service is OK comparing to other locations.
Definitely a good but dangerous (in a positive way!) place to browse and check out Japanese products. I think Ive seen Nirvana and its filled with snacks and cool stuff!
One of the wifes favorite store to shop for bargains. Wide variety of consumer goods, grocery, and liquor. They sell just about anything. Prices are reasonable and everyone is helpful. Awesome snack selection, including local kine and Japanese snacks.
Inside store is great but parking can be really tight during peak period. Honolulus way of designing parking lots & spaces lacks in many ways..
General merchandise store. Groceries market, dry goods, electronics, food court, ethnic foods and goods, some specialty vendors, one stop shopping. Open 24 hours.
Came here for first time with family that recently moved on the island. I was really excited to go here but my mother was stopped at the door and asked to keep her bag at the front on a rack. The guard was outside and the rack inside the store behind him....someone could easily swipe her stuff. Other people in the store had backpacks and their purses. I cant help but feel like we were being judged racially and I normally dont rush to that conclusion. She didnt even walk into the store because of this request. It feels horrible to be treated like this. Shes a woman who will spend her money. We will no longer be returning. If blacks have to leave their bags up front...everyone else should too. Very disgusting place.
Anything you need and more you can find here. Some really great employees. Lots of Aloha!
Love shopping here. Great special and lots to offer. Neet and clean. Food court located inside.
They have just about everything you can think of. If you love sea food, they have a wide selection of fish and shell fish. If you like meat, they have a wide assortment available. If you dont see something you like, ask the butcher. Hell get it for you. They are great. If you dont want to buy in bulk, go to Don Quijote.
I like this store on the island. Seems to almost everything you need without the giant corporation feel. Staff has always been reasonably easy to find when I have a question and helpful
LOVE SHOPPING THERE FOR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING YOUNEED!
I lub dis store brah! As a tourist, it has all the goodies you want to bring back home to share with your friends and family. Its not as big as Japans but it has a decent selection of randomness to keep you browsing. Dont forget to search the grocery side for some local food/drink you wont find anywhere else.
Don Quijote is a unique grocery store primarily focusing on Asian groceries but definitely has about everything anyone could want. Its a fun store just to explore. For some reason they have the best apples around...
A place where you can shop for authentic Asian & Polynesian & American items and products. Very reasonable prices. There is also a Food Court here when done shopping you can have a simple bite to eat or a full meal. Aloha!
Great products but really dated and warn out shelves. They need to implement a 5-10 yr visual update. Last time I seen the place significantly change was when it went from Daiei to DQ.
My all time favorite store, best prices and just about anything you want
Love it! Employees are not super friendly but not too bad either. This place has so many things that make you want to spend money. Has food court, produce, car, clothes, electronics, snack areas inside. Prices are kind of high though.
Lots n lots of things to choose from its like a walmart but with a local flair instead!!
The meats are great and awesome pieces. Sale prices are fairly reasonable. I have friend whose been front door security for many yrs. All employess are very helpful n respectful.
Great selection on headphones. I found a really good pair here.
My family and I have been going to this store for many years. I use to work there when I was young and it was called Daiei. they have a great selection of products and the dollar section has been a family favorite when shopping with little ones.
The best Don Quijote on the island! love the food court options. and service is great.
Its Don Quixote, they have most everything you need and everything you dont. Best place for random and ethnic items!
A different kind of store. Lot of oreint food good. Grocery store too. Clothes, outdoor things and just a fun store to go through
Never knew this place has do much stuff and pretty reasonable price
Kinda like the old Holiday Mart.. everything under the sun...fun to look all the stuffs...plenty parking, a/c, full grocery, bakery, restrooms...
I can always find the most useful kitchen gadgets imported from Japan.
I love it they have everything under the sun lol
Love this store. It has a large variety of things. And good food.
Great for late night shopping. Good variety to choose from. Employees are very helpful.
Havent been in to this store in a really long time. I intended to have dinner at the little food court area. Only to be disappointed because a lot of the places had closed down. Thankfully Bale was still up and running. The store itself has something to everyone. It really has everything. You can easily spend over an hour in there.
Its huge! I love it! So much to choose from! And its open 24/7! Plenty of parking (free)too!
Very good place to shop. They have everything in you need and then some.
Cool store all kinds of things from all over the world.....
You can always find ingredients for local dishes. They carry specialties for special local traditions.
Stick to the Asian produce and skip the meat. Pacific supermarket is better.
Less expensive than some other grocery stores and normally have what your looking for.
I was brought here, and was totally impressed w/everything.
Love this place especially the lunch they have to offer, a variety of dishes and selections.
Its a great place for a quick shop. Has many great house needs and also for outdoors.
You can find almost anything here. Groceries, snacks, gifts, etc. I always stop here when sending care packages to the mainland. I can always find something for everyone. Prices are sometimes a little high, gotta watch for sales.
One stop shop, pretty cool store.
I love this site better than the Kaheka store. Guess I can find my Japanese, Filipino and American items better.
Good deals on Asian products. Love the sukiyaki sets they have out occasionally.
A little bit of everything. So convenient!
Best selection of Hawaiian gifts and souvenirs.
I can spend HOURS looking at all thr different kitchen gadgets, cat themed products (tote bags, kitchen utensils, gadgets, socks, etc.), all the different bottledJapanese beverages and especially the Japanese snacks&treats like the different DORYAKI(pancakes with different fillings such as red bean, custard, chestnut, black sesame etc.).I totally loose track of time in DQ I. Waipahu. This is a great place to find unique gifts or to find something to donate to apets in need fundraiser auction!
Lots of food groceries if youre looking for oriental, specially Filipino foods.
Good place 4 whatever s
Love this place. Come here to eat Filipino food at bebots when I meet up with mom or aunty.
They always have alot of new items. Even though its from Japan and no english translation on what its used for. You kinda figure out what it is by the pictures. Prices are resonable.
