Best pharmacy to receive immunizations. The pharmacist made my 13 year old at ease with their COVID vaccinations. Despite others waiting to receive theirs, the pharmacist took their time and waited until my child deemed they were ready. They also took the time to speak with my child after the process to ensure he was feeling okay.

Its so nice to finally find a store thats logically organized and easy to shop in. Ill always hit up Safeway before foodland any day now. Thanks for being an awesome grocer!

One star for the bakery not the store itself. I ordered a construction cake at the bakery for my sons 3rd birthday (they were out of the toys on the top which was ok because I can buy and add them myself, so I had them just make the background). They added “happy 3rd birthday Owen” like I requested which they wrote it on a plastic sheet and placed it over the cake vs the actual cake because “it wasn’t smooth”. The cake looked awful and looked nothing like what the background was supposed to. I will never order a cake from here again.Other than the bakery the store itself is great.

I look forward to shopping on Fridays at Safeway. They have great specials for $5. They have a lot of other items that are discounted and great specials. The app lets you make a shopping list that adds the discounts and helps you to stay on budget. Their rewards for shopping are food you actually eat! I feel like I get a great value for my money.

Got everything I needed in one trip which was amazing! Even butterscotch schnapps, which seems ridiculously hard to find in grocery stores (simple in liquor stores, of course). However, due to this experience, even though this Safeway location is much further from my house than other stores, I will always be coming here from now on!

Theres this lady checker for the self checkout. She is the perfect example of a happy worker. She is consistent in offering customer service and always being happy!Allows me to enjoy shopping knowing that she is there!

I have never written a negative comment before, but feel this needs to be said. I had to wait almost 1 hour for the $5.00 Friday special for the fried chicken. I was told it would be 30 minutes so I was willing to wait. When I checked back after 30 minutes, they told me it would be another 25 minutes.l also heard other customers saying they had to wait over an hour on previous visits.I know it takes time for the chicken to properly cook, but to make so many customers wait 1 hour is not good customers service.Obviously the $5.00 Friday specials are what draws customers into the store, but if it cant be done efficiently, then its deceiving.Ive been told on a previous visit that they dont issue rain checks if they are cooking the chicken. I did not have time to wait 45 minutes at that time, so I left and had to figure out something else to feed my family.I would recommend that they issue rain checks if the wait will be more than the typical 15-30 minute shopping visit. I dont think most customers have the reasonable expectation to wait over 30 minutes for an item at a grocery store.If Safeway really wants improve the customer experience, they will improve their service with regards to this issue.

Convenient location, lots of fresh food, and self checkout make this place great. Tons of parking, but getting out of the lot can be tricky; just be patient, and maybe go all the way around (exit by the UFC gym).

Services wasn’t all that great at the bakery.We needed a last minute cake and the workers at the time didn’t seem they cared on what we were looking for. I was asking questions from the cake displays and the worker was all the way across the counter doing something. I had to keep repeating myself instead of him stopping what he was doing and assist me.They don’t sell toppers by itself which isn’t convenient. You would have to order a cake before hand. Sorry we’re last minute people, but at least have something available for people like us 🤣So we needed up getting a cake with M&Ms on the top and had the worker write “Happy Birthday”. When he was finally done, he wrote it on a piece of plastic, which I never ever heard of... instead of asking me how I wanted it. But FAIL! I would’ve thought he would’ve put it on the side?Anyway, serious customer service needs to be improved in the bakery.Self check customer service was AWESOME! It would’ve been a 5 star for sure!

Good produce selection. Wide aisles. Friendly staff. My biggest complaint is with the dairy products. More than once I bought their Lucerne milk that went bad several days before the expiry date on the carton.

Nice store, clean and bright. We went because they had Turkey Hill ice cream on sale. Didnt think I see a local favorite from Lancaster, PA out here in Hawaii.

My wife really loves this location and I must say I do too! Doesnt send customers into a maze trying to find what theyre looking for and they have some of the best of everything!

Grand Opening this past Wednesday. The general manager from Waimalu has taken the reigns of this new location.It’s next to Lowe’s and is quite large. I did notice that on the opening everything seemed to be on sale or there was quite a few specials.You already know Safeway and I think it’s great to get a new grocery store for those in the Waikele area.

Wow! This place is huge, clean, and has such a wide variety of items. I wandered in here in the morning after going to Lowes so it wasnt crowded. I was really impressed with the cleanliness and grocery selection. This grocery store reminds me of being in grocery stores in the mainland. Lots of Boars Head items in the deli! I didnt need anything but Ill be back when I do!

Wonderful selection of interesting and different food products. Its like a Safeway version of Trader Joes. I wouldnt use it as my regular grocery shopping destination because they late a large enough inventory of everyday items, but they have interesting enough items to warrant a trip now and then.

Rhe store was clean. It was very easy to find the Items i needed and for the items that wasnt there I could tell easily I didnt have to hunt. Then when I couldnt reach an item the employeee was very nice and went and got a ladder to they could reach it for me.

If you want to feel like a lowly common shoplifting criminal, feel free to shop here. Were just a local family shopping at the new Safeway in Waikele, yet were being eyeballed by the employees as if weve stolen something. Then when my cart is full and Im ready to check out (all checkout lines are full) some random employee pops up out of nowhere and proceeds to lead me to the self checkout area where SHE scans my items for me. Self checkout is called SELF CHECKOUT for a reason. It was really embarrassing and my kids witnessed the whole thing. I will NEVER shop at this place again and Ive told my whole family about my experience there.

This location is home of the absolute best produce department its always full and fresh with an amazing variety, Hats off to Don and his team.

Great grocery store. We were able to fill up on all our groceries for our 14 days on the island. The deli Poke is off the hook.

Clean, modern, pleasant to shop at. Go there for their fruit bowls! Somehow, it just tastes better than other Safeways. Love that Safeway has more plant based options than other supermarkets, ie, Foodland, Times.Glad they are finally bagging the customers groceries again! Dont forget their bargain corner- one can find some deals there 😉

Basically a very fancy COSTCO open to everyone. And if you have a Club Card there are great deals you cant get anywhere else. I suspect the owner is really trying to give COSTCO a run for the money.

The store is generally great. But the security guards for the shopping g center is so noisy as I was separated the grocery after buying 800 worth of grocery. I was organizing it so when I drop it off to the different places. It will be quick ( Im a caregiver by the way) the security keeps harassing me telling g me that the parking lot is closed. I wanted to just tell them off but that wouldnt have been any good . So I rate it a 2 instead of monitoring the perimeter they took stationary from a far and watched me .. I. Nobody they needs to worry about. . I had two full cards to organize mixed with my OCD it tool me about. 30 min to situate. .

Nice, large, spacious, and clean. It seems a lot larger than many other Safeway grocery stores. Even the ceiling seems much high higher. They carried a lot if items available in stock (vegetables, fruits, meats, cereal, ready-made foods, face masks, and many more). I like the way its well-organized and has everything laid out nicely. The staff were also friendly and helpful -- they even wipe the surfaces for each customer. Its too bad though that they do not provide rain checks for items no longer available in stock.

Cashier Michelle at the self-checkout could use a little more training in Professionalism, Customer Service, and sadly, Aloha Spirit that Hawaii prides itself on. After making an honest mistake while preoccupied with my two young children at the check-out, her tone of voice and body language came across as very accusatory and judgmental. I understand a lot of theft must happen at the self check-out but as a frequent customer, I did not appreciate the lack of compassion on her end in handling that transaction. I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences at this Safeway so far until today. Just disappointed, a little compassion goes a long way in customer loyalty.

It has the ambiance of fresh and urban with calm, friendly, and knowledgeable workers.

My favorite Safeway to shop at! Lots of parking plus it’s easy to navigate and shop through. Very clean. “Tourist corner” and Shave Ice cupcakes makes it A+!

This Safeway is always great! Friendly staff and covid19 protocols followed! I especially like their fruit selection as always fresh, nice and ripe and great selections!

It is always so clean and not cluttered. The staff is always so friendly.

Clean and organized. Staff arent always around to ask for help but, you can find what you need easily.

New store is clean and we lit, but unfortunately more than half of the things I was shopping for were sold out and out of stock. Since it was one of the few days that I go out shopping, it was a major disappointment since it was supposedly the first day of the sale on certain items. Wont be going out for probably another week to get food supplies.

Aiea Safeway is a few blocks from me but I drive to Waikele to shop. Clean store with well stocked shelves. The nicest, most helpful personnel ever.

Grand Opening today 12/4/2019 and it is wonderful and amazing. Its a huge store with lots of selection and all beautifully displayed. Many manned counters. Their seafood counter has a huge selection of authentic local style poke. The glazed doughnuts are amazingly soft and taste great. I plan to get some Snow Crab and NY Steak for dinner later this week. They look especially delicious on display in the counter.

This Safeway is nice. Its larger in size. The staff are friendly and eager to assist. Theres a pretty decent selection of food to choose from.

Always clean. Great customer service. Different varieties of organic products. Salt an vinegar chicken is delicious.
