Love the slices and the ices! We’re from NYC, and it’s nice to be able to get good quality slices and Italian ices that remind us of home. We got a couple plain (cheese) slices and a couple of the grandma’s mozzarella (which has nice big chunks of tomatoes, and some fresh basil). The former were good quality slices, but the grandma’s mozzarella was the one for me. Can’t wait to get a whole pie. The lemon ice always hits the spot. And the people are always very nice. Definitely a great pizzeria
This was one of the first places we visited for pizza. We had just moved down from NY/NJ and were told to try it out. Its been a hit with us, especially the kids. Im a big fan of their Brooklyn pie and I think my wife enjoyed the Crispino.What was new for us is dealing with NJ and the lack of liquor licenses, so having a place where you can get slices and a beer is great. They are also located downstairs from the virtual game bar and since that place is BYO food, its perfect to order a few pies from here and theyll bring it up.Everyone has their own particular tastes for pizza, but Im a big fan of the thin slice that is crispy to the tip, not falling over and giving up. So, this is one you should try if thats your style. I think the owner said hes an Islanders fan, and being a Rangers fan myself, I dont hold it against him.The other half of the biz is fantastic too-- the ices. Growing up in NYC, I remember getting the rainbow ice from pizza places as a kid, and I lit up when I saw their freezer selection. Plenty of other flavors as well, but if you grew up with it, give it a shot and bring the family.
Being from New Jersey, I’m super picky about pizza.Even after being in North Carolina for 22 years, I’m still always on the search for the perfect New York pie.There are a lot of pizza places in Wake Forest and a lot of people are from New York or New Jersey. This pizza was really good. The crust wasn’t too thick or too thin. And the cheese was just salty enough. We’ll be back.
Disappointed ☹️. This place is a hit or miss.The first time I ate there it was amazing. Then the second time I ordered a large pie and it was dried out that it tasted like crust and cheese without sauce. The 3rd time I gave them another chance and the pie was great and today I ordered ziti and pizza and it was the worst ziti I ever had and the pizza tasted weird.I hope they become more consistent in the future.

Ordered pizza and garlic knots from here with high hopes based on reviews and many people recommending. Got the meat lovers, Margarita and grandmas mozzarella. Was disappointed. While it was NY style, they were poor quality ingredients and just average to lower tasting overall. More like mall pizza. Their customer service was excellent as I originally ordered a personal size pizza but they called saying no personal size crusts were available so could they upgrade me to a medium for the same price. I wanted the pizza to be great but much better options around town than this. Won’t order again.
Had my grandsons b’day here, Dylan went out of his way to accommodate us. We had multiple kinds of pizza, wings and garlic knots. Everything was delicious. They made sure we were able to cut and serve cake we brought with us too. Recommend this restaurant to everyone !
Ordered from here earlier this week. The place was busy when we arrived for pick-up but the order was hot and waiting for us. Pizza was perfect - crispy crust, plenty cheese and they DID NOT skimp on the toppings. The choices pleased my whole family which, believe me, is no small task! Also really enjoyed the caprese salad and the cake desserts. But next time, well probably eat-in so that we can try their gourmet Italian ice! The place had a nice atmosphere - brick accent wall, large booths, great music! But we met the owner while were picking up and he said theyll probably soon be offering delivery - bonus! Highly recommend you give this place a try if you want to break away from the cardboard that passes for pizza at the chain places.
This is it! You want pizza like you remember from back home in Brooklyn? youve found it. Great pizza in a nice location. Friendly staff and a clean restaurant. I know I sound like I work there or something but I dont. Im just happy I found ACTUAL pizza in North Carolina. Kaiser rolls? Fuggetaboudit! Edit: Please be patient with the staff- they are working hard and with the weekends being busy and staffing being what it is (everywhere) its still the best pizza around and well worth the wait!
We moved to Wake Forest two years ago and ever since, weve struggled to find an authentic and enjoyable pizza place. I am so glad that we took a chance on this place! The menu had plenty of other dishes to choose from, but we went with the pizza and we were were not disappointed! Staff was very friendly in helping with recommendations and we also added a great Greek salad and garlic knots - all were perfect! Theyve also got a gourmet Italian ice bar, so well be back here for sure.

100% the best Italian food in wake Forest, best staff and it just recently changed ownership, it’s a young guy I think his name is Damon or Dillon but an awesome guy none the less. I would suggest the white pizza with the mild wings. And for desert try the Italian ice with over 20 flavours. I’m from Italy and I would compare this food to my mama’s, just don’t tell her I said that.

I always forget about this place and the great owner and employees. Oh, and the pizza is great too. Not a fan of its location, which I guess is why I dont often think of it. Though next time some booster club wants to do a Spirit Night at that madhouse across Rogers Road, Pod Mizza, I will just write the booster club a check and head to Slices and Ices for real Pizza.
Literally the best pizza place I know. The owners a literally amazing and the staff is always attentive. Pizza tastes amazing. Always super clean and is easily accessible. The outdoor seating is great if you have dogs.
After reading the reviews, I regret not getting the pizza. Wife and I tried the salad and sausage panini and we were not impressed. With that said, the service was incredible. We were at Lonerider Hideout and they delivered the food to our location. I will give this place one more shot and get pizza next time!

Tasty out of all proportion with what your thinking. Excellent pizza, and the broccoli cheddar pinwheel was awesome. Will definitely be back, looking forward to trying the apps and pasta.

Very friendly staff. Pizza is genuinely overpriced for what it is. Parking lot gets super crowded. But overall a an okay spot to try one time. Can def improve on efficiency and quality.

Best pizza in NC right here, UPDATE! this was my favorite pizza place in NC but it is not as good now under the new owner. Extremely slow service and the pizza is mediocre now.

Im stuffed, so good.Sigh, forgot to take pics of the food again but I did get these. 😁-------------------------Great New York style pizza. And they have it by the slice. 🍕🍕🍕Got to meet the owner, John I believe his name is. Very generous and gracious individual. Wonderful member of the community. I will support this business whenever I can.Forgot to take pictures before I dove in and ate the food I was kind of hungry that day. Maybe next time.

Ive eaten here a few times. The pizza tastes really great! The wait time for our pizza was longer than we would like but customer service was great. Food was reasonably priced. I wasnt able to try the ices but will be going back to try soon. Great local place to eat!

We love this place and eat here nearly every week, always had a great experience until tonight. Unfortunately neither pizza was cut, and the cheese one was burnt. Also the sausage parm sandwich was so overdone that my husband didnt eat much of it.Like I said we love the pizza here, just tonight was really disappointing.

I am so disappointed.. I came here expecting the best (because of the 4.8 stars) and it was bad. I ordered the wings and it was frozen wings, barely had meat inside; also a slice of pizza that was sooooooo oily and no flavor, the dough was so thin that it was like a piece of paper. I am not coming back!

Pizza has really gone down hill. I know things have changed with the pandemic but the quality shouldnt have suffered. Pizza was really dry, wings were cold and soggy, and garlic knots were way overdone, toasty on the bottom. Tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but time to find a new place.

We will forever be loyal to this place. You dont want to miss the chance to catch their pastrami slices or really any of their slices. If you like Sicilian slices- theyve got the best in town by a long shot.

It was my first time going to slices and ices last night and I was super impressed. First off the pizza was really good as was the overall look and feel. What made me even more impressed was how calm the staff was. There was a slew of people going in and out of there with kids and they remained calm and cool which set the tone for the patrons. A major hats off to the staff I’ll definitely be back for sure.

John and his family are awesome folks and the pizza is darn good too. Id never really understood the slice concept but now I dont think I could go back to whole pies. With a wide assortment of slices always available and Johns constant innovations with new combinations there is sure to be something for everyone. Highly recommended and you will not leave hungry.

First time trying this place out & the pizza was fantastic. The actual owner made the pizza, I was able to chat with him for a sec. I believe he said he’s from New York, so he brought those excellent pizza skills down to North Carolina. Anyway, great food & a pretty Laid-back atmosphere.

Pizza is good when it is made right. This happen twice with me they miss items on the pizza. Yesterday they forgot the black olives on the greek pizza. Not sure if the person who took the order messed up or the cook was in a hurry and forgot to put them on. Lesson learn make them repeat the order back to me when place an order. And double check your order before leaving.

I had the worst experience with the people there. I didnt get no response from employees. I spent 65 dollars on nasty wings that taste like shrimp. My sub had no cheese and was dry. I couldnt find all the meat on a meat lover type pizza. I will go there again! I strongly suggest that you dont eat there.

I just found out about this place and I absolutely love it. Iv gone there twice in one week they have great pizza and wonderful desserts and great service. They are going to have rainbow cookies soon and I can not wait. 10/10 would recommend.

I had such high hopes! I ordered the bbq wings and a large meat special pizza. The pizza was below average (bland meat, soggy crust, tasteless cheese) and the wings were not cooked properly. Needless to say, I won’t be back.
I grew up near Philadelphia, and I have vague memories of eating really good pizza from local restaurants. Slices and Ices reminds me of those places. Every single slice Ive had here has been some of the best pizza Ive ever tasted. They have a good variety of specialty toppings available, but even the basic pepperoni is phenomenal. Its even pretty cheap if you get the lunch special.Slices and Ices is truly an undiscovered gem, and Im surprised its not packed every day.
Pizza is very good here. However they need a separate line for picking up food ordered over the phone. I was in line for 20 minutes just to pick up an order I placed over the phone. My pizza was cold. :(
Their White pizza is to die for!!! Can’t seem to order anything else after trying it on my first visit. Staff is friendly, owner is super friendly and he always recognizes us and remembers our order. Awesome atmosphere and definitely the best pizza around! ❤️❤️

But I didnt not appreciate coming in with my husband and 2 young sons, to have a very young waitress with very revealing attire on bending over constantly in front of our table exposing her bootycheeks as she filled up the soda fountain the entire time we were there..... Come on? Its a family place. Teach your employees self respect, please. We could have went to Hooters, but we chose not.... 😑
Food is delicious. Portions are huge. Seriously, these slices are huge. Seating is very limited, so its best to get it to go. Only reason I cant give 5 stars is there is no kids menu, and its annoying to have to order a $12 huge order of spaghetti for a 3 year old. Granted you have leftovers, but if you are out and about for the day, its not ideal and has prevented us from going for lunch some times.
My kid has long hockey practices at the factory several times a week so I have tried all of the restaurants and bars in this area to kill time. Now I always go to slices and ices. The draft beer is always good with a varied selection and you can’t go wrong with the pizza, wings, or my favorite - the caprese salad. Owner and staff are super nice and they keep the place spotlessly clean. Highly recommend.

Great pizza! Great vibe. Italian ice (even in winter) was amazing. We had the white pie (best in the area), cheese and the Italian breaded wings. It was breaded like a cutlet, with cheese and marinara. THEY ROCKED!!! We had the honey dew ice.... its a must try. Staff was super friendly, even offered to cut up my childs pizza.... very nice gesture.
My husband and I ordered a couple slices for me and a medium pizza for him. I ordered a slice of white and 1 cheese. The cheese was ok, but the white was amazing! Will definitely get that again. We ordered super, extra, light cheese on my husband’s pie and it came with almost as much cheese on it as my slices. He was very disappointed, especially since we emphasized he wanted barely any cheese on it at all. It will be tough to talk him into trying them again, but I will certainly try because the white pizza is the best I’ve ever had. It would be a 5 star review had they listened when I said how little cheese he wanted on the pizza instead of putting a little less than the normal amount.
Definitely my favorite pizza place! We found this after an afternoon at the factory. I wasnt really expecting to be blown away by, but I was! The pizza is a great price and the flavors are absolutely delicious. My very favorite is the white pizza. So delicious every time!The staff is always warm and friendly.So glad we found this gem!
If you see any negative reviews on here... ignore them! The pizza is out of this world and is truly deserving of being able to say “New York Style” plus John is very friendly each time I visit. Highly recommend this place!
