NEVER EVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN!!! Another way to Steal Money from Customers.I have never been to this store before and this was my first time to go over there to replace my iPhones battery. Based on my first time experience They are not HONEST to their customer and they LIED to me. Before I brought my iPhone to replace the battery, I called them to check the price ($59.99) and time, they told me that it will take about an hour to replace the battery. When I handed my iPhone to them, I left the store and after 5 minutes when I went back to the store they have my iPhone ready to go and when I checked my iPhone it never opened and replaced the battery. I felt so bad because they took my money without solving my iPhones problem. I hope the store manager pay attention and tell their staff to be honest to their customers. I think its a kind of another way to steal money from customers!!!
I needed to get some watch batteries replaced and they were able to do it very quickly.
It took almost 5 weeks to get a screen for my phone which I find hard to believe. Never called to let me know it was in. Once they had it was in it took then just over an hour to make the repairs. I will go back it I have any problems. Lot cheaper there than any other place I been to.

Employees were very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. I came to drop off old CFL light bulbs... like a LOT of them. The fee was small and worth the price of protecting the environment from the chemicals in those old bulbs. I will be taking any old batteries or bulbs there for recycling in the future!

I needed a stop/start battery and couldn’t get a response from my dealership. Batteries Plus had a better battery in stock with a much longer warranty for a lower price and installed it for free on the spot. I’d recommend making an appointment or calling ahead during busy times because they devote a lot of attention to customer service. They were super friendly and helpful. My Google Pixel just started to shut off even after a full charge the battery would just drain. Saw the commercial that they could replace the battery. I figured I would try since I was going to get a new phone anyway. The guys were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to replace it and it is as good as new. The battery I purchased has been great so far. Better than the battery though is the service. This place is hands down the best place to buy the items they sell. Great service! Phone needed a charging port. They ordered the part, kept me up to date on the progress of the order. I stayed and waited and it was done in 20 minutes. Kaitlyn did an amazing job, and honestly I totally recommend coming here for the issues you’ve had with your phone.
I called first to see if they had the battery in stock that I needed. Its an unusual battery (antique car) that is not carried much, even by auto stores. They had it so I ordered it online and picked it up that day.They were wonderful and friendly to deal with. I would definitely shop there again and recommend them to friends and family.
I have never been to Batteries Plus. Went in to have charger port replaced. Kaitlyn(staff) said she would bet I didnt need one, cleaned out the port got it to charge, handed back and didnt charge me. Took 5 minutes and got me out of a jam. Its not about free service because I was completely prepared to pay. My experience was 50% successful and 50% disappointing. I dropped of 4 porter cable 12 volt battery packs of 2 different styles. One set was repaired successfully however the 2nd set was not. I returned the bad set and was told that the technician that worked on them was no longer there and likely the problem for the poor craftsmanship. The current technician worked on them and she confirmed that the connections done by first technician were poor and that she had resolved the issue by correcting his mistakes. I used the batteries and when I went to charge them they would not take the charge so I borrowed the exact batteries from a friend to test the charger and was successful in charging his batteries. I am guessing it has something to do with the smart sensor wiring of the battery as when I inserted them into the charger the indicator on the charger indicated that the battery was not present. When I inserted my buddies batteries into the charger it indicated a weak battery, then a fast charge, and finally a trickle charge. With the facts as they are I have tossed the batteries and drill into the trash deeming this repair project as a failure. With the repair cost of $76.30 along with the cost of fuel to visit this particular store, I would have been better off to purchase a new drill set. My father told me repeatedly Education is never cheap no matter what school you attend and the school of hard knocks is the most expensive.

Just got my google pixel XL 3a fixed for $100 cheaper the genius ph one repair quoted me. They even had it done in less than 2 hours!!
I brought my samsung galaxy S5 for a charge port repair. They told me that it was the connectors to the motherboard that wasnt letting the phone charge and that they couldnt fix it. When I asked for my phone the employee that fixed it quickly put the case on before coming out from the back to give me my phone back. We were discussing battery charging options when I noticed that there was chipped paint on the bottom left touchscreen and adhesive coming from the edge of the phone and screen crack on the bottom right side. When I mentioned the cosmetic damage, the employee Katie scoffed at me when I pointed it out and said it was only cosmetic damage. I asked for her to provide documentation in case it caused any touch screen problems in the future. She said she had no way of doing that. I insisted she at least document it on the paperwork that the damage was not present when I dropped the phone off. The fact that she tried to hide the cosmetic damage, treated me rudely for not being satisfied with the state of my phone and the lack of care for the customer has made sure I do not return to this store. Now the touchscreen button on the bottom left that had the paint scratched off randomly selects itself when not touched! Not happy and will recommend people go elsewhere.Update #1: 2/13/14 I contacted the Evan the store manager and we came to an agreement for the situation. I appreciated the honesty and handling of the situation. I am confident future transactions from this store will be handled properly. Thank you!

Never shopping here again. Ever.Bought one of those universal chargers for my companies Nikon camera because we needed a replacement charger before Monday. Go to Best Buy first and they have a universal one for $40. Thought that was a bit much for a charger so the Best Buy guy told me to check out this Batteries Plus Bulbs because they might have something cheaper. Said ok and left. Walked into the store and there is some kid behind the desk and the place is empty. No music playing, complete silence, super weird and awkward. Told him I needed a charger for my camera battery and ask where I could find one. Just points me to a wall. I go over and find a universal charger from some brand called EMPIRE which essentially looks like a cheap piece of gold plastic with prongs sticking out of it here and there. Price $40, no cheaper than Best Buy with, what looks like not even 1/3 the quality. Buy it anyway because Im desperate and need this battery charged ASAP. Go home, plug it into the wall and, because its so cheaply made, it fried the board inside and saw smoke coming out of the plastic. Put the battery in it in a desperate attempt of getting this thing to charge. The prongs just get shoved into the cheap plastic housing and its a total bust. Now I have to explain to my boss why the photo shoot cant happen and have to tell a guy who drove all the way from the U.P. That we have to reschedule. Needless to say I will be returning this product and washing my hands of this place.

I ordered my car battery online to pickup in-store yesterday. I picked it up yesterday and tried to install it this morning. It was way too big and obviously not the right battery. I brought it back and was initially told they dont have the battery I need. I couldnt get a refund on my debit card that I used to purchase the battery for whatever reason. I couldnt get a refund in cash either. Finally, we were able to put the refund on my credit card. Before leaving though, I asked the gentleman to double check and make sure I was given the battery that I initially ordered. It was indeed the wrong battery. He then checked the back room and my correct battery was sitting there with my name attached to it. So I bought it a second time, hooked it up, and was on my way. The employee that helped me today was very courteous and apologetic. The guy that gave me the wrong battery yesterday needs to get his eyes checked. This was quite an inconvenience.
UPDATE #2 within 2 weeks of replacing my iPhone 6 Plus screen for the second time it is again not responding to touch. Almost every time I use it I have to smack the screen with my hand to get it to respond to touch. The home button still doesnt work and the tech said there is nothing they could do about that. I looked into getting a new phone, but Verizon either makes you pay monthly installments or outright $800+....my phone worked better when the screen was broken. I would never get work done here again. They ruined my phone!UPDATE #1 very happy they stand behind their work. Replaced my screen again at no cost to me. Happy!ORIGINAL REVIEWMy screen on my iPhone plus broke, and since this was the only place open on a Sunday I went here. The guy repaired it, but when I went to pick it up he says oh by the way the home button doesnt work now after the repair. Apparently it was his first time doing a larger iPhone and he obviously didnt repair it correctly... he told me I could come back on a Monday and have his manager take a look at it. Well, I live 50 miles away so I felt like I could just get used to using the phone without a home button. The screen they used to repair it is very cheap and it has already stopped working or responding to any touch 4 months after the repair. Also I could not view my phone while wearing my polarized sunglasses, never had this problem with other screens.
I wish more retail experiences were as professional and industrious as was my experience with Hans at BatteriesPlus on Alpine. My IPhone 8 Plus would not startup (hours of youtube and online forums did not help). I took it to Verizon and Apple to troubleshoot and both pushed me to upgrade and spend hundreds of dollars $$$. I thought I give BatteriesPlus a try, and I am glad I did. Hans open it up my Iphone and found actual parts missing on the phone (battery and display shield was missing). An oddity for sure. Hans and Blake reattached the battery connection and the phone was working again. To top it off, Hans did the fix for free. I highly recommend you check these guys out. It not just batteries they sell but people willing to step up and help out. These guy are all about the long game with their customers. Thank you Hanes...

Never use these people for your phone repair needs!! I had them replace the screen on my iPhone and one month later it cracked.. no drop or any harsh handling. When I took it back the said their warranty does not cover defective material... CUSTOMER LOST!

Amazing customer service combined with extremely knowledgeable staff blew me away for what started off as a quick trip to drop off some dead batteries. They ended up fixing the screen on my tablet and helping me with some accessories I needed for travel.
Batteries Plus has a wide variety of batteries and bulbs. They also do a lot of repair for electronics and cell phones. I like that they also participate in recycling batteries. Not many places will recycle anymore sue to cost, but Battery Plus will split the cost to recycle. Every little bit helps!
I was helped my a tall young man with big hands named Nate. He was very knowledgeable about batteries, and helped diagnose by old car battery as the problem by running a test on it. He then directed me to a new battery options and helped me decide which one best suited my needs. I was also picking up so AAs and AAAs for around the house, and pointed me to a better value, and pointing out they had other batteries on special.

While I found being able to buy the battery I needed on line (to be picked up at the store), I didnt get a confirmation notice from the store. I HAD TO CALL TO FIND OUT IF THE ORDER WAS READY.....I could have gone to the store in the A.M. and had the battery in less time than waiting on a confirmation notice from the store.
Hit and miss customer service but usually always have what we need so that makes up for it. We have stopped before at 5 min before closing and doors were locked that was frustrating.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.I brought my girlfriends phone in to be repaired sometime in February, her screen was cracked and so her touch ability wasn’t working as well and we were looking for a replacement screen. We called Batteries and Bulbs and were told they could fix this problem after bringing her phone into be fixed we received it back in about an hour, once getting home her touch screen was repaired but still not working on her phone, we called and were told to bring it back, the following is what transpired after....1. Brought the phone in a second time and had another new screen put on, after getting it back and leaving the store we quickly realized they did not put her SIM card back in the phone so we had to go back once again.2. A week later the touch screen still was not working so we were told to bring it in and they would have to send it to Chicago to be repaired, we dropped the phone off and were told they would call when the phone was back, two weeks later and no phone call, I finally called them and they said they would call me when it was in. 3 days later I called back and yes the phone was there and “apologized for not being called”.3. After sending to Chicago and keeping the phone for two weeks it was still broke, we called and brought it back in, they fixed it and told us that it was the last screen they could put on because it was 3 screens MAX and she heard this from the owners mouth. I asked for a copy of the warranty and they could not provide it. They also told me Apple puts “bugs” in the phones so they aren’t able to be used. The screen also was not fully attached so I had to turn around and bring it back after the 3rd time.4. After calling the 28th st location we were told that store policy is to give screen warranty’s for up to 6 months with no limits on how many screens we could receive.5. I called the Alpine location back and gave them this info they then “apologized” for mis information and I brought the phone back for now the 5th time in two months and were told this time “the frame was bent so the problem would keep occurring”In conclusion this place offered a service and said they could provide it, we were mis informed many times and eventually basically told it was “our fault” and the frame was bent. Truthfully they replaced this screen 5 times and all of the smaller intricate parts just couldn’t take the wear and tear. If they couldn’t not have fixed the problem the first time they should have never even tried to fix it in the first place. It has now been 5 months and the phone is worse than ever with no touch ability but I just do not trust this place again. So now I have to just buy a whole new phone. The service was TERRIBLE, the repair was TERRIBLE and their resolution was TERRIBLE!!

LG G4 LS990 - Ordered online (saved 10%) just after 4 a.m. while getting ready for work, then picked it up on my way home from work. Ready when you walk in with the receipt attached. Charged the battery to full (The Duracell was at 58% out of the pkg) before using as the directions say. Its like having a new phone.
