I decided to try contacts for the first time after many years of being too scared to try them out. I was very anxious on the process of how to get them in and out of my eyes. Rose was extremely knowledgeable and a very thorough teacher. Her attention to detail and patience was a blessing. Highly recommend!!

Believe the lens correction is wrong this time. Had a great experience here a few years ago, but the person I talked with about this said it was because I didnt get my eyes checked there. They were checked by an opthamaologist (MD) elsewhere due to medical conditions. Very unhappy with this experience and will not return. Nor will my family members. Will pay to get lens checked elsewhere.

My wife and I went to RX Optical in Standale. My wifes glasses were great, mine on the other hand. Terrible. After 6 visits, 2 exams by the doctor, I settled for glasses that I can only use when holding something approximately 18 inches from face. I got tired of going back over and over and simply settled. Now I have glasses that cost around $600 that I dont even use. Guess I use the dollar store glasses that work better. Pretty sad. The staff were great. Just wish my glasses were too.

Want to share that I had the best experience with Rose. She assisted me with finding the appropriate glasses for my vision needs, and gave honest feedback about all the glasses I tried on. She took into consideration my skin coloring, the size of my face and even noticed the color of my jewelry so that the glasses I chose would compliment all of the factors mentioned. She was very kind and considerate. Ask for Rose the next time you need to be fitted for your next pair of glasses. Shes a gem.

Dont bother with RX very bad customer service and the Drs cant ever seem to get prescriptions correct. Since Leia left this place has went down hill fast. Covid has not helped with this but they do try to get appointments set up even if its just a exchange.

I have 2 special needs boys- one of which wears glasses. I was denied my 11 year old being seen to be fitted for his new glasses because I have my 8 year old with me. Our family has used RXO for years but will not be returning due to this incident. 😡

This location is top notch! Was greeted right away when I walked it! Was taken care of with great customer service and the team there overall is flawless! Highly recommend this location!

I usually go in once per year and it seems like I rarely see any of the same staff members or even eye doctor. However they are always kind, helpful and professional and when I order glasses, theyre always ready in less than a week. Lens and frame prices are to be expected. You can get them cheaper online if you know exactly what you want, but I guess I prefer the traditional appointment and try-on and I know they will take my insurance.

I’ve gotten a few pairs of glasses/lenses here over the past 6 years, however, the last replacement I got is AWFUL. Terrible glare and scratches all over after only a few months! When I called they were adamant they had scratch/glare resistant and the same as before, no way that is possible! I’d had the old lenses for over 2 years and they never had this issue...not going back.

My favorite optometrist who used to work at this location is no longer there. Definitely need to get him back. Dr. Leo Thompson goes above and beyond to help meet your needs extremely helpful. Please bring him back to this location. Wish they would keep the same Dr at the same location so you wouldnt have to repeat yourself to the multiple drs coming in and out.

Rose at the Standale Rx Optical location goes WAY above and beyond expectations! She is extremely polite, friendly and most of all detail oriented to get the job done quickly and most importantly correct! I highly recommend anyone needing assistance and service for all their glasses and/or contact needs to see Rose at Rx Optical at the Standale location. She has many years experience and has a way of explaining all the in s and outs of how to get the best value while getting the most coverage with your insurance as well as plans of action after the coverage is used up. Most importantly, she genuinely cares for people and it shows in her actions and giant smile (you can tell shes smiling even with her mask on!)

My exam was easy and right on time. Then they had my glasses ready in a couple of days, and included a nice case and a gift bag with cleaning solutions and micro-fiber clothes. Manager Leah C. had great suggestions with my wife to help me find some awesome frames and all the right choices for glasses that I love to wear and are ten times better then my last pair from somewhere else. My glasses are stylish, affordable, and I feel great wearing them!

The store and people working there are so awesome. I have very bad anxiety so I always procrastinate appointments, and I felt really good being in that store, the Doctor who did my exam was awesome and so were the ladies out front. Especially the one who helped me pick out my glasses, she was very sweet and friendly and it was just an overall excellent experience. And they are right down the street so we wont be going anywhere else!!! 😀

I was billed wrong but the manager was very good in making up for it with contacts. Not too sure on the Dr there he got my prescription backwards and had to go to another place to get it fixed.After my issues Leia was great in getting everything fixed and all set. She has been great to work with for myself and my family. I have very picky eyes and we have worked together to figure out I have material sensitivity.

Good customer service, I can in a while a few years ago, Leah and Anthony took a great care of what I needed. Glasses were good. I come in today, and Leah recognize that I am a customer visiting. I am very satisfied with the care that I get in this store.

My family has been going here for many years and have never had a bad experience. Everyone there seems to really care about you and are very friendly. They definitely seem to know what they are talking about and have been very helpful when we are having issues with our eyes.They also are the fastest at getting you glasses! 3/4 times I have gotten my glasses the same day. The 4th time I had my exam at night so I knew they wouldnt have it done that day. The rest of my family with a stigmatism and biphocals still get there glasses really fast (5-7days) compared to other places that take weeks.

To put it succinctly, the staff is incompetent when it comes to adjustments for your glasses.

Stood waiting for 15 minutes for help and the 2 gals behind the desk were having a conversation about their family with a customer. Poor service!! Rediculous!!! Have gone there for years and this experience has made me decide to never go back. Very unprofessional.
