The sales person was very helpful and they had several walking shoes size 13 and I found a pair and the price was right.

I found a great deal on an inflatable kayak. Customer service was great. Ample parking.

Not sure how they stay open cause they are never busy, but staff is helpful and they have some decent stuff.

I went there to find shoe for my granddaughter. They dont measure their feet for you anymore except by the feet measurement printed on the floor. They use to have the shoes in groups that you could tell which one was boys or girls, but not anymore. I wasnt impressed by the selection they had for shoes.

Employees were all very helpful and polite. Yesterday the older, dark haired man working behind the counter (on 12/19/2020) next to the BB/Pellet guns was super helpful and kind. Ill be back!

We went there yesterday and were received by the most professional, friendly and nothing short of amazing staff. They firstly, adhered and enforced social distancing. The flow was well organized. The efficiency and speed of this team helped us in completeing our purchases effortlessly. I had taken the wrong pair if shoes up to the counter and they bent over backwards to find the right shoes for me. This store is well stocked with a fantastic variety. Bravo and thank you all. Went to get a softball glove and 2-1/2 lb Olympic weights, lots of gloves to choose from but they only had 2 50lb Olympic weights in stock very surprised at the lack of a weight selection.

Employees are extremely unprofessional and very rude. I witnessed a larger male employee kick a customer and her son out of the store. After yelling at them loud enough that the entire store could hear. I will not be returning to this store.

The store is very small. When searching for an item for lifting weights, I needed help with location of this Curl Bar. It was bottom shelf, with gloves, board games and small electrical hand held games.No restrooms for customers, and lack of staff delayed because the item I needed took the employee off the floor.I spoke with the Manager about, the difficulty pushing a cart with numerous displays of products in each aisle. This store is the only sport store within 60 miles from our Countryside.A rating of 3 is a good rating. The number of shoppers was no more than 10 people with 4 floor employees. Lack of restrooms, items not displayed in a safe manner, and a OK sport store in a almost hurried, waiting for an shopper injury. I would use other stores, but none in my area.

Reading some of these reviews..... some people need to eat before they go shopping and others need to realize that some businesses may be understaffed. As for some other reviews.... ya the service is not so personal but then again they get customers like the ones leaving these reviews. I always shop here for my shoes...I always leave with at least 2 pairs of shoes and still pay less than buying from sfc. I love the shoe prices and I always get my disc golf discs from here along with my fishing lisence.....Ive never had a problem other than maybe getting help but i can tell theyre obviously understaffed and trying to do the best they can. Maybe things are pricey, but thats just for me, considering my income. I work in the customer based industry and I know how things work so when i come in this store and find it hard to get help from an employee when theyre obviously understaffed.... but then again....as a shopper I dont want to be bothered by employees. Ill find what I need and if I need help ill ask someone. I totally understand and have patience with them!!!! The check out... ya, most reviews are right.... should be more friendly and outgoing and helpful and all but with my anxiety and stuff in the first place that makes me wanna get in an out.... theyre kinda perfect in my personal experience. But from a business experience.... the cashier staff should, honestly, be more so called friendly. Otherwise I love getting my shoes and discs and fishing license from here. Never had no problems with this place. Just a tip for future shoppers here....eat and get enough sleep before you come in. And have patience!!!! Theyre obviously not a corporate run business so give the employees a break and take the time to figure out what you actually want!!!

Big 5 is one of my go-to places for sporting goods. They have a good selection of most things. They had a sale on camp stoves and I looked at Amazon to verify a price and found the deal at Big 5 was better. I buy shoes here as they carry wide and large sizes. The store is located in a mini mall just off Mira Road along with a PetsMart store.

The sales staff are helpful but not all up in your business until you want them to.

Four people working there kept walking up to me and asking if I needed anything. Theres a difference between good customer service interrupting my shopping. I dont know why they would not want me in there, but I felt like they were trying to rush me out of there. And that was too bad because they have a lot stuff I wanted to look at.

Went to get my daughter goggles for skiing. Found what I needed. Cashier was nice. Overall it was good experience.

Customer service could have been a lot better and want more polite but I like his shoes that I bought they need to train their employees to be more friendly and outgoing and helpful not pushy and things that I dont want to buy not try to sell me shoe thats been tried on a hundred time when I asked for a new pair especially when Im spending that kind of money call shoes its completely stretched out and the other ones been in the Box the whole time not going to pay for used shoe other than that Im not having what I wanted in stock and me having to go with a totally different shoe this the only problem I had their other than the customer service from one of please but for the most part they were pretty good

Little tough to find the entrance to this place, but once I did I found all the items I needed. Help is a little introverted, but once I encouraged them out of their shells I got lots of good stuff.

Terrible customer service, rude and untrained employees. Ive called them on the phone asking for specific items several times, they assured me the items were in stock, but when I came to the store they were not, and they didnt even apologize for wasting my time. Also, they take forever to open the fitting room for you.
