Larkey Market is an amazing local market. Their sandwiches are amazing and their coffee is good as well. It is hard to find a place that makes classically good sandwiches and this is it! They also have lots of other things that you might need an a great alcohol selection

Quaint little neighborhood market next to Larkey Park--one of the very few such markets still around today, possibly the only one in WC. Under new ownership with plans to remodel. They no longer make handmade sandwiches, but they have a wide selection of sandwiches and wraps from Espostos; I grabbed a tuna wrap for $8.50.

The market Italian sub, good value for money. Got combination with turkey, ham, salami and roast beef, tomatos, pickles and lettuce. A bit messi, but all the ingredients were fresh. Highly recommend Sweet French Roll. If you dont eat meat, they can wrap in a lettuce.

Great little market with a wide selection of sandwiches, snacks and drinks. A fantastic place to pick up a sandwich before heading over to Larkey Park.

My daughter and I were in Walnut Creek and hungry. She’s a big sandwich fan, me - not so much. But I said Google best sandwich shops near me” and Larkey Market was on top of the list. We looked at the online menu and whoever is their web designer, Wow! The sandwiches (and everything else) looked delicious. So we follow the map and find this cute little out of the way place. Larkey Market uses the sandwich order form method. You check off items that you want on your sandwich; starting with the meat, the bread and all accoutrements that goes with a sandwich. So you customize your sandwich. My daughter ordered a salami and pastrami, pickles tomato and lettuce on sourdough roll and I had a roast beef with avocado, sliced tomato, pickles and lettuce on sliced rye bread. The rye bread is a marble rye! Omg. Our sandwiches were great! So deliciously good! Thank you Kevin! (The proprietor)

During covid times this was a clean, delicious place. We grabbed some sandwiches, drinks, and chips for a nice weekday picnic at the park nearby. The workers were polite and the food was great!

I didnt realize it was a little convenience store... but if you look carefully theres a little menu up on the wall and a guy making sandwiches back there in this tiny place. And theyre good! Make sure you grab a slip of paper to write your order with!

Magido has done wonders with the market making the interior more organized and clean and now offering fruit and veggies. He continues to carry essentials for the neighborhood like eggs and milk while also catering to the park and sandwich regulars. Great gathering spot! Im glad we have an urban feeling market in our suburb neighborhood.
