I absolutely loved working with Magic over at Diablo Subaru of Walnut Creek. I was able to lease the car of my dreams in the color I wanted at a decent monthly payment, while Subaru Foresters were literally flying off the shelves at every dealership in town. Not to mention being able to bring my dog in for the day, who was treated so kindly by all the staff at Diablo Subaru. I highly recommend this dealership and the staff, they are incredibly warm and welcoming. The dealership itself is clean and inviting, definitely a place I wouldnt mind hanging out at while my car is in service. Thank you all at Diablo Subaru!
I will recommend not to buy a car from these people. These people Sold us a car. we signed a contract. two day later the dealer asked us to sign more papers. The loan person ask us to sign the extension paper because the contract was going to expire. So we signed the papers. We trust them. later we found out that instead of 7 % interest my daughter was going to pay 17% and instead of 480 dollars per month it was 629 dollars per month. They knew and we talked about how much my daughter could afford we turned down many banks that wanted high interest and finally Capital one a gave us a 7% interest contract we were happy, the payment was going to be about 480. All this happen in July. Two weeks later I get a letter from Captain One telling me that for the reason stated on the letter my credit was denied later. When I called Capital One I asked them when are you picking up the car? You denied my credit but we still have the car how can that be. The person said we have to look into this. Call the dealership. The person I spoke to told me that I was wrong that the credit wasn’t denied that the contract was good. By then we knew we were ripped off. The second papers we signed were in fact for a different contract with Captain one for 17 percent interest 10 points higher than the contact capital one denied. How can a company tell you that you can’t make a payment at 7 percent but they think that even after they send you a letter of denial trashing your dignity Capital One can approve a contract for 17 percent. That’s the level of trashy world the banks are becoming. Dishonest people of the worst kind.
Had a flat. Local tire shop couldn’t get the right tire.Called your service department and received excellent customer service. The gentleman found the correct tire in stock and told me to come right down, they would fit me in. He was so kind and helpful. At the dealer, the excellent service continued. The gentleman helping me explained everything perfectly and expedited the process. I was finished in no time!That you so much! This appointment happened on 9/4/21. I apologize for not remembering names but these two employees did a stellar job!!! They deserve a bonus! Happy I bought my car from you 😀

BE ALERT IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE! I went in last week for a test drive on a new 2022 outback and was looking to purchase it afterwards. The outback drives great BTW! Due to the Covid-19 caused tight supply situation, there was no vehicle available at the lot for my desired model (outback premium). So I was considering to just place a special order with the dealership. The sales person quoted me MSRP + standard fees AND additionally $2500 markup (for some exterior paint and interior protection). I asked about the $2500 markup and was told it is required and applies to all other Subaru dealership. And according to the sales person, other places even charge more.This is absolutely false!! I called 2 other Subaru dealerships in the bay area, one quoted with NO additional markup and the other quoted much less (~$1k but agreed to remove it to match with the other dealership).Diablo Subaru is one of the closest dealerships to where I live, and I do not mind paying the full MSRP given the supply situation, but I do not appreciate the their sales tactics that sales person tried misleading me on the false out-of-door pricing. I have to take my business elsewhere.
It was just an amazing experience. It was done in the most professional manner with all COVID requirements in place. This is the second time I lease one of the best cars made by Subaru. As usually, it was smooth, easy, quickly. Super pleasant experience with the help of a professional and a wonderful person Gino!
Excellent service. I went in for a check-up, oil change and tire rotation. I was told it might take 2 hours but the work was done in 1 hour. The staff was friendly and helpful. Basma, my service manager, made sure all my questions were answered. She also did not charge for some work done on my door hinge. The waiting area was comfortable. It was a good experience.
I highly recommend their Service Center. An 48,000 miles maintenance took less than 2 hours. They gave me a free Lyft ride home and back, even though it exceeded the allowed 10-mile distance. The staff are very caring and courteous. They kept me informed about the maintenance status and responded to my questions after I picked up the car. Communication is really quick, efficient and effective. I wrongly assumed that an interior part was missing, and they responded instantly with photos of a similar car and dispelled my doubts. Finally, their price was lower than at another Subaru service center. So far Im very satisfied with the visit.

I was very pleasantly surprised by my visit to Diablo Subaru of Walnut Creek. Every person I interacted with from the moment I arrived was friendly and professional. The upstairs waiting areas, both indoors and outdoors, were comfortable. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The outdoor furniture provided a great place to enjoy the cold drink I had gotten down the street at the 7-Eleven. There was also water and coffee right there at Diablo Subaru. Additionally, within about 2 blocks and less than 1/3 mi. there were some really cool businesses to check out - a clock/watch repair shop (a block away on the opposite side of the street) that in addition to a fascinating array of clocks they are fixing has replacement watch straps and cool painted rocks you can use as a decoration or paperweight, a nicely air-conditioned OfficeMax, a Goodwill, and an Indian restaurant (a block away on the same side of the street) where I got a delicious lunch and a cool conversation with the super-nice gentleman who works there. I enjoyed the wait and my Subie was fixed beautifully. Thanks Diablo Subaru Team!!!

Im not going to play the name game and call someone out, but very unprofessional when a salesman from this dealership calls me and starts by only saying, Are you still interested?...need more context...followed up with a sass remark, How many cars do you currently own? as he doubts me in a short 30 second conversation.We understand there is a chip shortage and quantity is limited, but friendly reminder not to be so rude towards a potential customer. Yikes man. Not very ~customer first~.Not to say you shouldnt visit Diablo, as I am sure there are many other employees there worthy of their job and will provide phenomenal service no question.
Had a screw in my tire and needed a repair quick. Although I did not have an appointment, I happened to show up at the right time and was taken care of right away.Raymond is the man! His customer service skills are on point and he had me out of there in no time at all.I am really big on how I as a customer am treated so I was happy there was no exception. I will be back, because I have to get my car serviced next week so I will hope for the best again!!
I was in the market for a new car and had a specific one in mind. I had called my local Subaru dealership (which I won’t mention) and basically didn’t seem to have interest in helping me. With that being said, I called different dealerships until I got in contact with Angel M. at Diablo Subaru of Walnut Creek. He was extremely helpful over the phone and answered all my questions I had at the time. Knowing that I was not local, he gave me everything I should be expecting about the vehicle I had in mind and was even went as far as giving me pricing with and without different options that were available to me. The next day, I drove four hours to Diablo Subaru of Walnut Creek. Unfortunately, I was not able to meet with Angel as soon as I got there due to some miscommunication and it was his day off. I contacted him and he said another salesman named Pedro R. could help me out. Pedro did approach me as soon as I got to the lot. He did not hesitate to help and show me around. He made me feel welcomed. We went on a test drive and was sold instantly. He also went above and beyond with helping me truly understand what this car had to offer. Given that I would be applying for a loan, I spoke with Juanito T. from the financing department. Juanito also went above and beyond helping me get the best price at the best rate for me. We did not settle for the first nor second approved loan. He was able to get me a better deal on attempt number three. Angel actually came into work on his day off to check how things were going. Long story short, I walked out with the keys to a new 2021 Subaru WRX Premium and could not have chosen a better car for myself. I would like to thank Angel, Pedro and Juanito for making this experience one to remember and for making their clients priority number one. The four hour drive was well worth it and Diablo Subaru of Walnut Creek has earned all of my future business.

I normally give 5 stars. In fact, this us the first time Ive ever given less than 5. The reason is an oversight that could have ended up as a bad accident. When I picked up the vehicle, it was just washed and looks super clean. Thanks for that!! I drove the car home from Walnut Creek to Brentwood, and to work from Brentwood to Sunnyvale. On my return home, I noticed a glimmering from the hood. It was moving. I pulled over to the emergency lane to see that the hood was not fully latched. I closed it fully and went on my way. No harm was done, and like I said, it was an oversight. I can only imagine if it flew open and smashed on my windshield when I was driving home on 680...or 580. But...like I said...that didnt happen and Im fine and so is the car. I will still continue to go to Walnut Creek because their service is solid and one oversight does not define what they are about. In the future, however, I would like to ask that checking the hood latch be a checked item before sending a car back to the customer. Thanks!!
The service was fabulous. The service was supposed to take up to 2 hours but since I would be waiting at the dealership for the car, they said they would try to get it done faster. To my delight, it was done in one hour!That’s what I call service. Thank you Diablo Subaru for everything.
Had another shop replace my windshield because of a crack. After 2 installed windshields and 3 visits they were not able to recalibrate the vehicle eyesight. Should have gone to Diablo Subaru first despite insurance pressure. Diablo Subaru was able to of course get the eyesight recalibrated and working perfectly. Preformed routine service, and a warranty repair quickly and professionally. I won’t make the mistake of going anywhere other than the Subaru Dealership for repair needs on my 2020 Subaru.
I have never write an on-line review, much less a car dealer review. Recently my Subaru Legacy was repaired by Diablo Subaru in Walnut Creek. The service was excellent & cost much lower than the competition. While my car was in the shop, I got a loaner: 2021 Subaru Outback. This car was amazing, excellent fuel efficiency 30 MPG, very smooth and quiet ride that rivals Audi. My next car has to be Subaru Outback. I strongly recommend Diablo Subaru to anybody, extraordinary service, people, and cars!

We bought 2 Subarus within 2 months and love them. Great cars. Sales staff were very friendly and helpful. Michelle was excellent at tracking down the cars we wanted and keeping us informed along the way. There is such a demand for Subarus and a chip shortage that Michelle’s extra efforts are much appreciated. Opportunities for improvement: it took way too long to buy a car - literally 4 -6 hours each car (even without financing). Too many different people to see and wait for. And no snack vending machine on premises to tide you over during the long waits. Not the fault of our sales person. The length of time required to buy the car is the only reason I did not give 5 stars.

Very cooperative I’m pleased to say! Only one remaining problem, I paid $1300 for a special coating applied inside and out of my car! So far.the inside isn’t doing what I was promised! My dog who is a clean and precious thing, had gotten some spots on the leather/plastic and I can’t get the dribble stains to go away! This was my most prominent wish as I’m sure anyone would expect this at the very least !

I bought my first car (2020 Subaru Crosstrek) from this dealership all through calls/text and emails. Huge thanks to Jessica. I have never been to the dealership myself even once in the past 18 mo. (I test drove crosstrek at a local dealership before choosing crosstrek). Jessica assisted me with placing my order, walked me through the financing options and got me the best deal, and also finally delivered my car to home. Everything was smooth from start to finish. I would have given 5 stars. However, the new car is displaying check engine / eyesight disabled warnings only around 7K miles on it, when driving on a state highway on a clear night. I am now not very sure if I purchased a reliable car.
The WORST dealership experience Ive ever had! First I made an appointment and had to wait around for a salesperson I had never met. Meanwhile several other salespeople were milling about asking if Id been helped. Not sure why I couldnt have worked with another sales person. Second, I wasnt allowed to test drive the car I made an appointment to test drive and purchase. I even came with a pre-approval letter from my credit union for the loan! Last, but certainly not least, I was offered almost $5K less on my trade-in than the online quote I received the day before with absolutely no explanation whatsoever as to why they wouldnt honor their online quote. When I complained they immediately offered $2K more (the only thing they did quickly). Bonus issues - they tried to upsell me for everything you can think of. They wanted $50K out the door for a $32K car - paint protection, warranty, warranty for the warranty, extended service, blah blah blah. If you value values, your time and/or your money go somewhere else!

Basma was very helpful and kept me informed of the status of my car. But I need to say the loaner car I received was so filthy inside. It appeared as nothing had been wiped down. So dusty that I had to clean it when I got home. Fingerprints on the door handles and with the situation happen with COVID I was expecting to enter a wiped down and clean car. The widows were so foggy due to off gassing from the interior. It took a while to get the windows clean.
Although the dealership always is intensely busy in the service department, Basma always handles my appointment (3x so far with our new Ascent), efficiently and cheerfully. I let them know Ill wait for the car, and enjoy some coffee and reading time on their outside deck. Every service has been completed in 60 - 90 minutes, including a complimentary wash of the exterior. The day I was there recently they told me they had nearly 70 appointments scheduled. Pretty amazing to watch them process the cars in and out for the hour I was there this time.
Service - both check in and check out - was very efficient. Courteous and prompt service.

Yeah......my experience was not like any of the other recent reviews whatsoever. The salesperson was VERY green and didnt know many of the 2021 Outback Premiums features. Good thing I went to several other dealerships with experience staff because this poor dude was LOST. They also mark their cars up with all kinds of added protections that are ultimately not as valuable as they claim to be and very expensive. These protections are also not mandatory! They make them seem like they are but they are not. Other Subaru dealerships did not include these markups, so beware. The sales manager had a....unique approach that I personally didnt appreciate. I found him to be not as transparent as others I had interacted with in other Subaru dealerships. In the end, the sales manager played ball with me and we finally came to an agreement on the car I wanted. So it was a win win. My only regret is I couldnt get this car from another dealer, there simply isnt enough inventory.
Best group of employees. Never were we pressured to make a deal. We were treat with professionalism and respect. They wanted us as satisfied customers not just another sale.I recommend anyone wishing to buy a car, think about a Subaru, and then go to Diablo Subaru to purchase your next vehicle.

Diablo Subaru was most professional in their business with me. They did the 6,000 mile maintenance on my 2021 Subaru Forester Touring, which I had driven cross-country from South Carolina. I had also asked them to check the engine and cabin air filters and replace them if necessary. They were honest in telling me the filters were not in need of changing saving me about $100.00.
Your service rep (Mason Juergens) at Diablo Subaru was very customer oriented and ensured that everything was explained to me thoroughly and kept me updated on the status of the repair and the timing of completion.
We were shopping for car and selected a car online and when we called, some guy by the name magic picked up and quoted a different price. Actually, he was asking $5000 more than what was mentioned on their website. When I mentioned about it, his response was Take it or leave it. I guess they have a bait and switch and zero customer service policy.
My service consultant (Emmanuel) is very friendly and attentive. I had a regular oil change and everything went well. He called me within the 1 and 1/2 hour (promised time 1 and 1/2 hour) for pickup. Also, he noticed my car needed a wash and he offered me a complimentary wash before pickup.Update: on 10/01/2021, I received my next oil change service here again. This time Bernard is my service consultant. He is very experienced, fast and friendly. He recommended tire rotation, which I have not thought of besides oil change, to be added to this service. With oil change, tire rotation, it only takes 1 hour 20 minutes to finish. When I picked up my car, it’s a pleasant surprise to see my car has also been washed (without added time). Amazing people and service here!

I usually drive Honda but decided to try the Outback.I have never had a salesperson literally tell me everything about all the buttons and features of my new vehicle. Usually they rush you out and explain half the stuff and expect you to read the Manuel for everything else. Diablo Subaru of WC gave me the best price. No pressure. Finance was great and I could not be happier about my new Outback and all its features!!! So happy the absolute best car buying experience!

TL; DR Came for the price, left with not just an Outback, but after having been helped all the way by people who genuinely care about those who buy the cars. Best car buying experience..ever!Details - We got quotes from many dealers but came here because Wayne gave us a really good quote and seemed very reasonable on the phone.They were quite busy on that specific day, and we had a trade-in. Wayne spent a lot of time with us before the deal was finalized going over details, without pressuring us into anything. We were very happy with the price and package we got and we expected that after the numbers were final, he would ask us to wait for the Finance department and walk away. But he stayed with us going over features of the Outback for the entire time we were waiting! Since we had never owned a Subaru, it was really helpful to have someone go over those.Our experience with Finance was also stellar (and very much unlike what we have seen in dealerships). After a very long day, the person in Finance (sorry that we did not ask for his name) still was patient with us, working through some major issues we were having with the bank. At every step of the way we felt that he was working to help us. And after we were done we realized Wayne had waited all this time just to get us setup and on way, although it was hours past the closing time!If you are thinking of buying a Subaru and read all the way till here, just get in your car now and go to Diablo Subaru!
First time using the service department and Im afraid I brought my apprehensions based on previous experiences at other dealerships with me. Based on the service and courtesy of the staff, I feel guilty for the amount of distrust I had arrived with. Things were completed at the cost and in the time estimated. Makes me feel good about the one hour drive I made to get there. I must mention the fact that I needed a loaner car. I had two large hairy dogs that had been turned away at the local dealership. Against policy, a NEW Subaru was provided. You really cant beat this kind service.

I had an excellent customer experience in the service department at Diablo Subaru with Jorge Valle (Service Adviser) and MacKenzie (Customer Service). My 2019 Outback’s 30,000 mile service was performed and drove out of there like new. The service tech who worked on my car dialed it in perfectly. The valet gentleman were kind and attentive. Jorge Valle communicated with me throughout the entire process. They also fixed an issue I had with my drivers seat under warranty. They sent me off with a freshly washed car and a pleasantly effortless and comfortable experience. The service manager is certainly hiring the right people and operating their department very well.
If I could give it zero stars I would. First of the front desk is not friendly AT ALL. I had the first appointment of the day that I made 3 weeks ago. I brought my 2 kids with me since we had to go other places after. When I arrived I was told it would be a 3hr minimum for an oil change. They claimed they needed to order the oil filter and oil, EVEN THOUGH they had 3 wks to get it when I made the appointment. The service manager had an attitude right off the bat, like I was inconveniencing him by asking questions. A couple came up while I was waiting to speak with the service manager. One of the employees started yelling at them, asking if they had an appt. It was a ghost town there, I was the only car waiting so I dont know what the big deal was. Do not buy a car from these people or use their services.

Decided to get my first new car in a long time, had done my research and decided I want to get a Subaru Forester. After looking around I decided to go to Diablo Subaru in Walnut Creek.The experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Their personnel were friendly and knowledgeable, the process was quick and easy.There were a couple bumps along the way and they were quick to resolve them to whatever made me happy.I would buy here again.

One star is too much for this place. No communication and they said they would have my car done by 2:00-2:30 and I came back to see if it was done and they didn’t even start the service. I wasted a day to sit inside the Subaru dealership for nothing.
We had an agreed upon price when we ordered the car. When the car arrived, approx two months later, the dealership raised the price $4k. The dealership said they could sell our custom ordered car to someone else for more profit. If thats true, then why agree to a price two moths ago when we ordered the car? Thats analogous to raising the price of my steak while Im eating because the price of beef went up before my bill arrived. I felt was very unethical.Per Daves response, I sent him an email...no response...exactly what I expected, smoke and mirrors.
Great service. I had a recall for my car and they fixed it super quick and even washed my car. They also provided a ride to/from my house as part of the service. You cannot ask for more.

My experience with Christopher was great. Very friendly guy and very accommodating and even went out his way to get my son snacks and drinks. Everything went smoothly except for the mechanic’s pitch when he appraised my trade in in front of the Sales manager. He was able to tell internal sensors and bolts has been touched and “rounded off” by just opening the hood. Must be nice to have xray vision like that. Besides that, everything was fine. It has been 4 months since purchasing a vehicle at this dealership and I have not received my plates. I called them 2 months ago in April and they sent me some paperwork to mail back to them which I did (and confirmed they received based on the tracking number) but I still have not received my plates or heard any update on the situation. My plates expired in May so Im at risk of being fined if I drive.I have a demanding job and their service department is only open M-F during normal working hours so I am not able to constantly hound them which seems to be necessary.
