Found this wine store online while looking for an Italian red. I ordered 2, got a call from Frank, who works there, saying they only had 1. He held my order, and when he realized hed be swinging by my way, based on the billing address, he dropped off the wine! Not only that, but he also found the 2nd bottle. Franks service is unbelievable. I feel like this is the Four Seasons of wine shops.I look forward to visiting soon!

Best online shopping experience Ive ever had. I thought it was a scam because it showed shipped so quickly. I thought there is just no way that it shipped that fast and is legit. I ordered on a friday it was at my house by Tuesday. I almost want to sabotage their rating so I can have their services all to myself but I want them to be successful. Packaging was the best Ive seen used. I ordered 4 bottles 3 of which were oddly shaped instead of using compromising packaging they upgraded the packaging. I will look here first before I order anywhere else.

A gem of a wine shop! Ive ordered a few of their value cases. Its great to have a shop that you can order a miscellaneous case from and know every bottle is going to be super good. Picked up a couple more expensive bottles for an Italian dinner one time also and everyone was really pleased with both.

UPDATE: They are still the best... even though the restaurant has closed, the wine shop is moving full steam ahead. Give them a try if you haven’t before.They have the best of everything. Wines, spirits, stuff and of course a team that knows how to pull it all together for you - just the way you like it. Did I mention the wine clubs? Also the best.

I was skeptical about using this company for some shipped products. A personal email from Peter Andrews eased my concern and opened me up for some of the best customer service I’ve ever encountered. All items shipped were superbly packaged. Not a chance for damage. The follow up and communication was top notch. Do yourself a favor and give Prima Vini a chance.

Exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful staff. Peter Andrews is anxious to educate with absolutely no pretense. I have found that to be typical of the entire Prima team. Comprehensive selection from every significant wine region in the world. If they dont have it in the cellar they have great contacts to track it down. Fair pricing and none of the silliness that comes with pre-arrival futures typical of some large retailers. They either have the wine, know when it will arrive if they do not, or honestly tell you that it is not available in any reasonable time frame. Like that! Bottom line, a wonderful resource if you live in the Bay Area and with free shipping on many shipments regardless of where you live in the US.

This is our go to local wine shop. The wine selection is great. They specialize in Italian wine but carry plenty of wine from the rest of the world. Their selection of bubblies is great. The staff is very helpful and can direct you to what you want. Their wine tasting events are delicious and fun. We be long to one of their several monthly wine clubs, the Italian wine club and really enjoy the wines. The Prima Vini champagne tasting in early December is fantastic!

There are so many I had never considered trying that have made it to new house hold favorites. The restauraunt is fantastic, but the wine shop is a gem that should be visited, increable wines from all over the world that are priced from inexpensive value wines to very hard to get wines. The staff is very knoweldgeable when they speak to you they dont just say this is great they tell you what you are going to taste without arrogance. Also the hard liquor is very unique in that there are again very hard to get Bourbons, Scotch etc. there.
