As a young female, I have been jerked around and dismissed by a lot of my past mechanics and have never really had a pleasant service experience. Douglas and the team at Waltham Auto Service Center have completely changed that narrative for me. Before even considering servicing my vehicle, Douglas wanted to make sure I had checked my warranty information to make sure he was not going to charge me for a service I could have done for free. Once service was underway, he called to keep me updated with every step along the way. Parts were ordered and my car was serviced and ready for pick up THE NEXT DAY! As if all of this wasnt enough, my car came backed to me vacuumed, disinfected and honestly, cleaner than when I had dropped it off.To say I am impressed is an understatement. From start to finish the service I received from Douglas and his team was courteous, thorough, inexpensive and completely stress free. I would recommend them to anyone in and around the Waltham area. Can’t express how great this place is. Had all of the brakes replaced, oil changed in couple of hours and picked up on the same day. They even helped clean, vacuumed and disinfected the car! It’s an amazing experience. Definitely visit if you need your car fixed!

I was on the lookout for a good, reliable, and local mechanic, and based on reviews I saw here and another place, I decided to give Waltham Auto Service Center a shot. I was extremely pleased by everything and will definitely take my cars here again. I interacted with Douglas and found the whole experience very professional and honest. Price was reasonable and the work was performed perfectly.

I am sure as many have wrote before me but these guys are the definition of transparent, professional, and fair.After my 60,000 Mile Maintence at my Suburu Car dealership, they came back with a list of things that needed to be taken care.I went down to Waltham Auto Service with that list and they were able to knock off 4 repairs with in 24 hours.They send pictures of before and after damage, work late, and dont over charge for anything. For example rear wheel bearings at Suburu would have cost me $1600 alone, and that was only 1 of the items out of 4 that I needed and they were able to beat that price AND fix it all.Im always going to use this business in the future and I really enjoy supporting them locally. Pre-COVID I always went to the dealership for any issue or service work, but lately Ive been wanting something smaller and closer to home. A Google search brought me to Waltham Auto service, I saw some great reviews, and I decided to give them a call. I called to inquire about pricing and Douglas was so open and kind that I just made an appointment. Waltham Auto Service was very transparent and honest about my cars needs and the pricing is fair and competitive. Very thorough, friendly, and transparent with pricing, which I really appreciated. They provided photos/videos of the problem areas in my car, and did a great job describing the work that needed to be done. They also ended up charging me less than what they originally quoted, because it took less time than expected, which he definitely didnt need to do. I obviously dont like having to take my car to a mechanic, but its good to know youre dealing with honest people. I would certainly recommend their services to anyone needing to have work done. Great experience today! I made the appointment online, brought in my car, asked if possible if it could be done by 3pm, and the mechanic assured me if it couldn’t be he would tell me so I could still get to work later. Fixed a couple minor issues, oil change and vacuumed my car! Fair pricing as well. I will definitely be back I am so thrilled with the service!

Douglas and his team are excellent at what they do, and their prices can easily beat what the dealer wouldve charged. I was overdue for 90k maintenance work, knowing my 11 year old Subaru Legacy would need some CVT checks done along with a full tune up. It was great receiving pictures of the parts that were in bad shape, I had no idea my rear brakes were that worn down or how much the oil pan was rusted and leaking. Even got some After shots to compare, which is helpful. Price was reasonable for the amount of work done, and Ill definitely be returning for future auto upkeep. Thank you!

This place is great and honest. I got a few paint from another car that scratched mine but it wasn’t that bad. I went to the shop and ask if they could get rid of it. The guy brought out a spray and a wiper to help me clean it in less than 10 seconds and he didn’t ask for fee. While there’s another shop I visited before offered me $450 for repainting. Best shop ever. Feel sorry for not knowing the owner’s name.

A friend recommended this shop to me; she had gotten some engine repair work done here and was quite happy with the service (both repair and customer!). I used their website to request an appointment online, but Douglas reached out by phone soon after to confirm timing and the services I was looking for. After I dropped my car off, Douglas reached out again by phone to confirm the type of oil my car would need and to clarify the pricing.The drop-off process was simple, and they went out of their way to disinfect my car before I picked it up. As a recent transplant to Waltham, I was anxious about finding a new place to work on my car--I could not be more glad to have found Waltham Auto Service Center. Their pricing is transparent, their customer service is excellent, and I will absolutely return for future work while I am in the area!

I think I speak for everyone when I say that having to take your car to the shop is never fun, but I can’t stress enough how amazing these guys are!Douglas was amazing, he send me a video explaining what was wrong with my car. I thought there might be something bigger wrong with my car since we left it and didnt drive it much lately. But it turns out we just needed general servicing, which didnt end up being too bad. Also, they sent us pictures of the things that needed to be repaired and the new items so that we know exactly what was done. I really appreciated that, and would definitely come back here.

They are very fair with their pricing, and very fast. I went in to get my brakes and rotors changed and they sent me before and after pictures which I really appreciated. If I could give this place 7/5 stars I would! I was beyond happy with the service of this place!!Of course my repairs were quick and done right, but what really got me was that the guy who runs the place, Douglas, sent me photos and videos of exactly what was happening and even showed photos after the new parts were installed and explained what was going on very well (Quick background: I came in cause I thought my muffler was bouncing around going through speedbumps and such, but it turned out to be my heatshield and he also suggested replacing my brakes which I agreed to). I WAS ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY when I got the texts! More places should be doing this.For someone like me who isnt the best at car knowledge and is more a visual learner, this was a HUGE plus for me! Made the service feel more transparent.OH! And they took the liberty of vacuuming my car after they were finished! Absolutely speechless.The one and only con Id say, which should not be put against them, is that the place isnt super out in the open/easy to find. I went past it once before I realized their sign above the door and their building/driveway is kind of blocked by this U-Haul(?) building so I mistaken the driveway as part of that building.Overall, above and beyond service and Im def coming back here again for my next car repair

I have gone to Waltham automotive twice now, and both times have been great experiences. Everybody there is extremely friendly and conscious of mask wearing. Honest prices and fast service, and very convenient if you live in the Moody street area.

Douglas and Jose were not only timely and accommodating of my schedule, but were forthright and honest about what their diagnostics showed and provided context as to how likely any given course of action was going to be to fix the issues (and what those fixes would cost).They didnt try to pretend they were any more certain than they actually were and made sure I was informed of what the risks would be with any given course of action (particularly the financial risks). Theyve 100% earned my trust, and Ill be going back to them in a heartbeat the next time I need any sort of mechanical services for a vehicle.

This place is a hidden GEM in the jungle of Waltham. If you have any problem with your car, dont hesitate, just call Jose and Douglas. They will relieve your stress hugely. I guarantee it! Your outlook of having car trouble would be much less stressful. Douglas and Jose, have fixed my used 13yo SUV XC90 several times, it is known to be difficult to fix and super expensive to fix it too.Jose and Douglas, a duo, who is honest, kind, excellent mechanics, really know what they are doing, and they treat you with respect––even for mechanically dummy like me, discussing the car problem with them makes me feel that I have more understanding on the problems. Jose, has explained the problem and how he was going fix it––offered me options and the cost of fixing it.Over the years, my husband and I had been working with numerous mechanics, with lots of headache. After we work with Jose and Douglas, just realized how ripped off those mechanics weve worked with before. If only we can turn the clock back! But you can! Let Jose and Douglas handle your car problem and you can just sit back and relax, waiting for their call to tell you that your car is ready :)

Really great experience with them. Came in because I was told my front brakes needed to be replaced but turns out they didn’t need to be replaced yet. Instead my back brakes needed replacing and they were able to do everything in such a short amount of time. I didn’t need to come back another day, they were able to get the parts within the hour. Great service and people.

I inquired about replacing both of the rear brakes and rotors on my lexus GS300. Everyone was super friendly and was able to answer all of my questions. They went above and beyond. What normally takes a day, they were able to finish it in a few hours. I would highly recommend.

I found this garage through Yelp reviews and I’m so glad I did! Douglas did a great job explaining what the cost of my brake job would be and had the car ready to go exactly when he said he would! As a woman, I worried about being taken advantage of but after receiving several different quotes his was the least expensive and the work second to none. Ive always had good service here. I had a problem with my oil pan once and they went above and beyond to help me fix it without charging me extra for the additional help. Since then we have them do all of our regular maintenance and oil changes.[update]I just went in with what would probably be $700 worth of repairs on a good day. Im unemployed, and they helped me out a lot with some cheaper ways to keep my car going until I have income again.Top notch people. I spent years looking for a good mechanic after I moved to MA and am extremely happy I found them.

This place is truly amazing! Honest, affordable, and exceptionally dedicated to their customers. Every time I take my car to them, the mechanics always make sure to show me whats wrong and why it needs replacing--a huge difference from dealing with other repair shops. They have also been willing to stay late when I was in a bind to ensure I had my car ready for work. In short, I refuse to take my business to any other auto shop--and so should you.

From the outside, this place doesnt look like much, so I was a little apprehensive when I dropped off my car. However, the experience I had will definitely bring me back.I started having serious engine problems the Friday night before Christmas, inconveniently right before the 3 hour drive back to my hometown. We called several mechanics in town and none of them could help, except for WASC. The owner told us hed take it at 9am the next day (on Christmas weekend!) and theyd do what they can.I dropped it off at 9am and I was on the road by noon. I ended up needing 2 ignition coils and all new spark plugs, which is what other shops that I called had predicted. Both of the gentlemen I spoke with were very friendly, informative, and honest. Its a common worry when dealing with an unfamiliar mechanic, but I never felt pressured to approve a repair or purchase something that I didnt think I needed. And now my old Honda is running great again!Thanks to Waltham Auto Service Center for rescuing my Christmas. Dont let the unassuming exterior fool you - these are good guys who will take you in when no one else will, and get it done quick!

I brought my car in because it was vibrating aggressively and wasn’t sure what was wrong. $300+ later and it was worse with nothing fixed. They also left a screw loose in the engine.

Not too long ago I went in to change my breakpads. At first I was skeptical but that quickly change. Not only was the service top notch but so was the quality. My breaks are nice and smooth. Definitely recommend!

The customer service is excellent. My wife and I only have one car which can fit our baby seat. We needed it fixed short notice prior to a family weekend event. Despite issues locating the part (even the dealership said it would take 3 days to special order), these guys called all over to find what we needed, picked it up, and fixed our car all in the same day. I will always be coming to them with our car troubles.

Im going to lay it all out on the table. I have dont have any automotive experience, and it was with great dismay that I saw my check engine light come on the dash. Went to the local dealership 10 minutes away and got a quote I couldnt afford. My google-fu is superb so I did a whole bunch of research on pricing and shopped around.The quote that I got from Waltham Auto Service Center beat the dealer by a mile and other shops by a couple of hundred or so. Equally important, I dropped off my car in the morning and picked it up after work. For an engine issue! They say you can only choose two out of three from good service, good price, and speed.
