This place is such a hidden gem. I went there to look for a gift for a comic fan and was so excited to find all kinds of geeky fun. Ton of Star Trek stuff, toys and action figures, and even records. Definitely check this place out. Theres something for everyone.

Been going there for years, great owner, super nice, and always great selection and fair prices. You can just get lost in the sauce there browsing stuff and not realize youve been there for 45 minutes.

Very friendly. Reasonably priced. Some items under priced as the owner stated to me he does not adjust prices inflated by trends online. Bought an ecto 1 die cast, the larger model for 30, when they were on Ebay for 100 last christmas. Id had a return issue once and no hassle over my lost receipt. Personally I think this store Deserves the good word of mouth and the patronage it has. Really pleased with the store. Always a good experience and that alone is worth something too.

I have been visiting Outer Limits since it first opened in 1983. Steve is a great owner and very knowledgeable about all things comic book related. I would highly recommend Outer Limits for anything comic book related.

Its not that I been going there since I was a kid. I go because it is one of the best comic shops around. Old and new comics and pop culture stacked to the ceiling.

This is my favorite comic book store in the world and I have shopped at comic stores throughout the US, Canada, and London. Steve is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

This is the best comic shop for collectables anywhere in the Boston area. Steve treats every person that walks in the door like a friend. He knows what you collect and even holds stuff if he knows it will be of interest to you. A big chain franchise cannot do business like that. Only a local guy can treat you like he appreciates your passion the way that Steve does. Interested in a great place to pick up the latest in new comics and great prices on back issues... as well as more collectibles than youd know what to do with? This is the place!

Of all the comic stores Ive been to, I think this ones my favorite - its certainly the best around Boston. The place is overflowing with comics and toys, but Steve is the reason I keep coming back here. The simple fact is that hes thoughtful. He pays attention to his subscribers, and hes held multiple comics for me - that I would have otherwise missed due to my own neglect in subscribing - because he noticed that I had been collecting them. If I moved to the opposite side of Boston, Id still go here for my comics.

Ive been to many, many comic book stores over the years, but The Outer Limits is the best. This store has everything you could ever want (and some things you didnt realize you wanted until you saw it and went wow, I cant believe he has this!). Comics, toys, books, games, a fantastic selection of vintage vinyl, trading cards, pulp and vintage magazines, sections devoted entirely to Beatles and Elvis memorabilia. Of course, youll find all the new releases on display, and what they dont have, Steve the very friendly owner, is more than happy to order. Ive visited The Outer Limits several times over the past year and every time found it impossible to leave empty handed. I guarantee anyone who walks through the front doors of this great store will surely find something they want, whether they know what theyre looking for when they do cross that threshold.

They have lots of toys, lots of comics, lots of old books. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Not a corporate shop, a privately owned and run comic shop. The vibe of an old school comics shop you thought didnt exist anymore. Lots of hidden gems here. Support local business!

Got a 1968 issue of the original x-men comics where they introduce Mimic. This place has everything old and new comics. If they dont have what youre looking for I can guarantee they will definitely be able to find a way to get it.

This shop is the best I have ever been to, and you can certainly tell from the other reviews that the hype is real. Steve truly makes the shop what it is. Not only does he have everything you can think of, but he can get pretty much anything for you. I literally cant move out of this town because I would be away from The Outer Limits.

Outer Limits is, without a doubt, the best comic book and collectible store in the Greater Boston area. It has a huge selection of mainstream and indie comics, and the owner, Steve, often buys collections from folks, leading to a fine stock of back-issues. It also has modern and vintage collectibles at generally excellent prices. If youre looking for an odd toy, poster, book, or comic, this might be the place to find it.

I lived in Waltham from 1994-1996, and The Outer Limits truly is the store that started my comic book addiction. I now live in Arizona, but any time I visit family in Massachusetts, I always try to make a quick stop in Waltham to say hi to Steve. And even if its been a few years, he always recognizes me immediately, as though hed just seen me last week.If the other dozens of other positive reviews dont convince you that The Outer Limits is worth your time, I hope this one does. Its not a trip home without accidentally spending more money than Id intended at The Outer Limits.

My wife has been a customer of Steves for over twenty-five years, and in all that time, hes never steered her wrong. He knows all his customers and their tastes, and finds exactly the right comics for all of them.My wife has seen him spend twenty minutes with a grandmother and grandson picking out the exact right comic for a four-year old -- spending the same kind of care and skill in making a four-dollar sale for a preschooler as he would making a large sale for an adult collector.

Steve always has a great attitude and a stock of products that you cant beat. Went in for some supplies and what do you know, he had some great used CDs. Not your typical stack of CDs either, some really good stuff.

This is probably my favorite comic shop. I used to go to Newbury Comics just because theyre all over the place, but lots of times no one knows what im looking for. I also used to go to New England Comics because they have lots of bin sales, but the customer service is terrible. Everyone there think theyre doing you a service by selling you comics. At The Outer Limits, Steve provides excellent customer service along with superb knowledge of comics as well as his stock. I remember walking in last week and asked, Im looking for the X-Men wedding issue of Jean and Scott. I think its X-Men 45... He told, Thats X-Men 30, I have 2 in the bins. I went over to the bin and there were exact two copies of issue 30, the wedding. This was just the latest. Every week would email asking for comics and he always respond within a day with exactly what he has, and put them all aside so I can choose when I get there. Great place if youre looking for comics and collectibles.
