Mike built a 67 Pan Shovel engine for me. It was completely worn out and a total mess with parts from various years. I gave him a box of parts and he gave me back this beautiful fully set-up engine with masterfully machined compression releases and a mirror-like port/polish job. Spectacular powder coat on the cylinders and lifter blocks as well. My photo has cardboard under the bike, but the engine does not leak at all. Not a drop. Phenomenal work. Prices are very reasonable too.
M.C. Cycles is the best mechanic shop in New England. I have a 1971 CB 450 and have been to several different mechanics in MA, NH, and Rhode Island (very few shops have the ability to work on old cafe racers). None of them were able to fit in my bike and work on it as fast as M.C. Cycles. All I wanted was an oil change, but was able to have rear turn signals (powder coated) welded in, the electric work upgraded, my clutch adjusted so that it was not as hard all by the time I went to a Mexican restaurant and had a few margaritas. In addition, the pricing is right on. Mechanics who work on old bikes usually gouge us on prices. Thank you!
Great service and custom solutions. A perfect place to bring classic/vintage motorcycles. Did an excellent job servicing my rare Moto Guzzi which many other shops turned away.
Very unprofessional. Said to meet him at his shop during normal business hours-so I drove there in the rain and then the shop was closed, he was not there and did not return any of my calls.
Amazing service Mike was extremely kind and patient even though i probably was rushing him. I will be a returning customer for sure. Very good and fair pricing brought my bike in cus a squirrel chewed the wires and he told me his fee and even took a loss as he understood i wasnt made of money. Overall one of the best service Ive experienced
Honest, nonsense-free service. Mike is a very good, accomodating dude who runs an honest shop and tells it like it is immediately. Fair and direct pricing given alongside good advice. No pressure. Very accommodating. Thank you!
Mike is awesome great quality work he literally do anything you want to a motorcycle plus more !! I recommend him for any make an model bike.
Bought my bike in for some work that need it to be Done, Mike was exceptional! Answer the phone when I called, customer service was on point! Showed me everything he did and what the bike needed it . Guy is the real deal. Would definitely recommend Mike
I highly recommend M.C. Cycle in Waltham. First off, Mike has the sweetest most beautiful Pit Bull ever; She is an absolute love-bug. I may go back just to visit Harley! Secondly, Mike was awesome to work with. Easy going and very knowledgeable in his craft. He works on all kinds of bikes, super quick service and totally fair pricing.I am a brand new rider and have little mechanical ability… My front lights and back blinkers were not working properly on my 2015 Boulevard. I did the whole YouTube search thing, then decided I needed a professional. So I did a Google search and found Mike at M.C. Cycle. I called him late on a Wednesday, he said to bring the bike in first thing in the morning. He ended up rewiring the back lights and fixed a few other small things on the bike. When I go the bike home that day I realized that the back lights were again not working. So I called him and he said to bring it back in first thing in the morning so he could change out the back lights to brand new ones. Problem solved, happy customer! You can tell he takes pride in what he does, wants to make customers happy and cares that the work he does, is done well. If you have an issue with your Motorcycle, go see Mike at M.C. Cycle!
The trunk of our car stopped working and since it was a Sunday afternoon nowhere was open that does car repairs. I called this shop and spoke to a guy who said he’d be willing to look at it to help us out. We took it in and he was able to quickly fix the problem and get the trunk working. So grateful that he was able to help us out despite it being a car!!!! Thank you!!
Mike is a great guy to talk with, knowledgeable and friendly. I have a 2001 Kawasaki ZRX 1200.He did my forks over and they feel fantastic. Very fair pricing, the work took a little longer than expected as he was transitioning from part time to full time. Id be only too happy to bring my bike back for future work. Thanks again Mike and best of luck on your new venture.
Been dealing with Mike at MC Cycles for over 6 years now. He is the most knowledgeable guy and can pull apart and repair anything I have thrown at him.Small engine repair to large engine repair, breaks, rim repair, custom fabrication, powder coating, this guy does it all and always goes above and beyond taking pride in his work.Look no further for a motorcycle mechanic.
Brought my old bike there for the first time to get it fixed, I had a 2008 Gsxr 600 and it was stalling every time I tried to start it, Mike was very accommodating and took the time to explain the problem with the bike, very knowledge and friendly, bike was fixed and ready to go in a couple of days. I decided to get a 2019 R6 and after having such a good experience with Mike I decided to bring it to him to have a full exhaust installed and a power commander tuned. I couldn’t be happier, best decision I’ve made, the bike runs perfectly and it sounds amazing. He’s not just a great mechanic but also a amazing person, will be definitely coming back :)
Great mechanic fast service and cheaper than any dealer!
Excellent!!I wanted to replace the front tire on my 1991 Yamaha Virago XV1100. I just gave him a call and he asked to stop by. I went there and he did the job for a very reasonable price!!!! (other mechanics in the area gave me outrageous prices). So this is a real place worth for your money and time. It took only five minutes for him to get the new tire fitted in and inflated. The place is small, but have enough tools and space for any type of motorcycle job.Mike is friendly, and interesting person to talk with. I saw he is great on doing custom motorcycles. Hoping to take my bike to him for a custom project.
I absolutely wholeheartedly recommend. I was a little uncertain at first, but came away with what almost certainly was the best service I have ever received from any mechanic. He had all the answers to my questions and was able to instantly diagnose my problems, charged more than reasonably, and did the work very quickly. On top of all this, without going into detail, it sounded like he was going through quite a lot at the time he accepted my bike (enough that no one in their right mind would blame him for being preoccupied), but he put it all on pause and gave me the time of day regardless. Respect.
The service was fast and top notch. Mike was extremely professional and friendly, and he knows bikes. I will absolutely come back.
Had a great experience at MC Cycle working with Mike. He is knowledgable a pleasure to work with, and can turn something undrivable into something that purrs like a kitty. My daughters moped got towed into the shop without any forewarning to Mike. He took it with no questions asked, diagnosed the problems and made the bike better than new.The experience was so good, it made me want to buy a cycle for myself.
I dont normally write reviews, but the experience with MC Cycles was so unprofessional and disrespectful that I need to communicate this to others. The owner, Mike, took in my electric motorcycle to true the wheels. We agreed to meet at the shop. The owner was late by 45 minutes. It was supposed to be done on Thu by end of day in two hours, give or take.Well, two hours passed and no call. Four hours.. Six... I called and no one picked up. I called an hour later, same thing. On a third call, at this time, late on a Thursday night, the owner picked up and said he had to work on another customers bike and the bike wont be ready tonight. Tomorrow at 11-12 noon, was the new time. And so tomorrow, Friday noon came. No call. 2pm. I called. No answer.... 4pm... 9pm. I ended picking up the bike late at night on a Friday. The next morning I woke up and the tire that was worked on was completely flat.Mike agreed to take the bike in and even picked it up on a truck. Well have it ready in 2-3hrs, according to him. Apparently the spokes came out too far and caused a flat.Same story. 4, 6, 10 hrs. Called and no one picked up... To make the story short, this pattern continued for 3 days. There was always some kind of an excuse about another customer or some personal emergency and a promise to deliver and call at a specific time. None of it happened. No apology either.Three days later the bike was fixed. To Mikes credit, he did quite a good job. He is a good mechanic. But when it came time to pick up the bike he had the nerve to charge me for the fixing the flat tire he worked on.I left the shop upset and disappointed. And then came the final touch. I looked at the bike sensor and noticed it has been ridden by the shop owner for many miles since I left the bike at the shop...Avoid.
This dude was awesome, along with his work. I travel alot and have dealt with alot of mechanics and Mike is by far the best and easiest mechanic to work with. Highly recommended for any kind of bike or quad!!!!!! Thanks man!!!!!🤙🤙🤙
Horrible customer service. They booked my appointment on a day they were on vacation and texted me to tell me to stop calling when I arrived.
Great experience! Mike spent a lot of time with me talking about the work I wanted done and also what I should be thinking about in the future as I am admittedly not a gearhead and just like to ride ride ride. He is a full time business owner now vs building the business while also banging out a full time gig, and I assume that is a game changer from the small number that had an issue in the past (excluding the wacko review I saw). Such a great local and personalized option vs Revere (I own a Victory) or Arlington. I will be back. Prices are very reasonable! Oh and he does all kinds of custom work as well.
I would definitely recommend Mc Cycles. Mike is very knowledgeable and did a great job. I know where to go from now on.
Great person and mechanic who is willing to perform custom requests and teach you about the work being done. I cant ask for better service. I will be back!
Powder coated my rock sliders here, Mike worked with my tight deadline despite complications that caused him to work well past midnight to get them finished in time. While communication could have been handled a bit better, Mike took the time to do it right and the finish was perfect.
I’ve had a few custom powder coating projects done here. One was for a car, one was an old branding iron for my college that was used in the 1800’s for wooden beams in the chapel.I’m not a powder coating expert but everything that he has coated has lasted years of abuse and being hit and dropped as well as lots of salty new england roads.Eventually if I need it powdercoated again in 5 years or so I’ll come back.
Great guy, great service. Took my Shadow for a walk-in oil change when I couldnt get the bolt off. Topped off my coolant and offered some pointers on maintenance as well. Would definitely recommend if youre in the Waltham area.
Mike did a great job changing out my tire. The job was completed in a matter of minutes and now Im back on the road!
The hours are wrong. I have no idea when this place is open. Dont waste your time with him.
Great service, fast turn around, knowledgeable, and took my bike the same day I called. His prices are fair and I got my bike back in 2 days!
M.C. Cycles is a great place to get custom work done to your motorcycle. They also do an incredible job powder coating anything you want.
Pathetic experience. Very rude and careless employer/employee. Only one guy working, who has no importance of time or money. I was told that my oil, filter, spark plugs and some tuning in seal would take an hour and half for labor. I got him all the necessary things; knn filter, mobil 1 oil and spark plugs. The guy started working at his own leisure, sipping on his coffee and smoking. He barely did my oil filter and spark plugs in an hour and hurried through the fitting for spark plugs. At about 15 mins past an hour he said your time is up and I wont do the fitting for seal. I told him you barely worked for an hour considering he just changed the oil. This made him angry and he started yelling, pay me for 1.5 hours and dont come back. I paid him his due even though he hadnt worked diligently and left immediately. Now my bike is in even worse condition. And its not even a proper garage, something made up in a tent.I would never recommend this place even if its the last place on Earth !!!
