Have a classic car that very few shops have the expertise to handle, Charlie knew exactly what was needed, did a complete rebuild on the unit with a shift kit. Runs great now! highly recommend them for any/all automatic transmission work.

Had two vehicles needing transmissions and they were very accommodating. Charles is very helpful and friendly. Its a small place and parking can be a nightmare as is getting out of the place since the neighborhood is busy.

STAY AWAY I bought my truck here about a year and a half ago my transmission was leaking he advised me to just rebuild my transmission because he had to take it out anyway to fix the leak and this way I wouldnt have any future problems. well that was a lie about 2 months ago my transmission was slipping so I bought it back to him he looked at it and said water from my raditor was going into my transmission he said he changed the fluids and everything will be fine another lie. my check engine light came on I bought it to a mechanic the code that came up was a transmission slip component I went back to him. he looked yesterday at my truck called me and said my transmission is ruined and it would be 1900 to fix 200 more then what he charged me 1 year and a half ago. he blamed it all on my radiator I was going to have him fix it till my wife says to me if it was the raditor why didnt he just replace it 2 months ago when I had it in there. so I took it somewhere else to have another opinion lee myles I told him what happened he looked at it told me the raditor was fine and that my transmission is burnt . I asked why this happened he said whoever did the rebuild did a poor job. I said to myself something seems fishy so I bought it to aamco and this time I didnt say anything just my engine light was on. he called me a few hours later to come down he asked me if I had work done on my transmission I said yes he laughed and said you should never try to rebuild a transmission by yourself I said I paid someone 1700 to do this he couldnt believe it he thought I did it myself. I then told him the story and I asked about the raditor he said nothing is wrong with it and he showed me all the fluids and they were all good except for the transmission fluid he said it hasnt been changed in years and I believe him because it was black. another lie. I should of noticed every time I went to wantagh transmission he never had more then 2 or 3 cars there thats a bad sign. stay away hes a sorry excuse for a business man.

I have been going to CHARLIES shop for 20yrs., with out any problems with any of the work he has done on many my vehicles.I would recommend his shop for any repairs on just about any vehicle or for any thing that is mechanical.Very fair with prices and can be trusted with his diagnostic checks
