He gave me very good lease as well as finance quotes. He explained me all the available packages and offered me to Test drive the car.He is very knowledgeable and down to earth person, he never pushed me to buy the car today like other dealerships do.This dealerships has many cars available on premises and they have service shop also available. Definitely will go back and finalize the deal.

Went there today and leased the exact car I was looking for. Darren was awesome. Helped me even get into the vehicle same day. He was super accommodating and I definitely didn’t get that car salesman attitude you typically get when going to a dealership. I would totally go back there for my next car. Answered all my questions and helped me go through all the settings in the car too. They were all so friendly and amazing. Definitely 5 star experience! Ps - this car is BEAUTIFUL and drives like a dream :)
The service department isn’t helpful at all. Brought my car in under warranty to fix curb rash on my wheel. Filed a claim on my own, called Acura and schedule to get a loaner and they offered me 3 weeks later to bring in because that was the first date available for loaners. I was fine with that. I walk in and the women in front tells me that the claim might not get approved because i waited too long to bring it in. They offered me the appointment! No one ever told me that information and i asked her why no one told me over the phone and she goes “we just say yes to say yes.” Waiting all day for “authorization” on the claim. What am i even paying for?

Purchased a CPO vehicle a year ago. The deal was transparent and open. Had my first service today- free NYS inspection and first oil change free. Dealt with salesman Matt and sales manager Tony. No complaints at all.
Booked a flight to purchase a certified MDX from the dealership. The sale went smooth and Bob was very professional in accommodating the sale.Dealership acknowledged the issue with the cracked grille. Car went a 182 inspection and falsely wrote that GRILLE CONDITION MEETS STANDARDS even if the Grille was cracked.Drove the car home same day - 7 hours away and expressed my concern to the salesperson about the Grille (see pictures and video). After a week wait, the only solution from Bob and Tony (manager) was for me to drive back 6 hours and have the Grille replaced.This is unacceptable and I will write the ACURA corporate and will not stop until a solution is found.LONG DISTANCE BE AWARE - IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH THE CAR THE DEALERSHIPS ONLY SOLUTION IS TO DRIVE BACK. UNACCEPTABLE!

Came in with the hopes of leaving with a car from the lot.I had 20k cash down payment on a Q50 I’m not going to lie on here and not say I was hoping that would carry some weight and help me out a bit but it did not matter to joe how much cash I had on hand the price is what it is okay cool after taxes was looking at 26 no problem joe I’ll put the rest on a card but wait joe says it’s illegal because that’s like taking out another loan why would you blatantly lie like that and on top of that get upset at me the customer and tell me to my face not to waste their time horrible experience

Bought a used Acura from them in November 2020. 3 months later, hardly put any miles on the truck, and I had to change brakes after they told me car was inspected and brakes and everything was good. That put a bad taste in my mouth and I would never buy from them again.

So i saw a deal they had on their website so i went in to check it out. When i went there the car was sold,so they decided to show me a similar deal.i brought my Acura tl 52k miles,navi, premium sound etc it was going to be my trade in plus i decided i would have given them $10000 more as the downpayment. The guy went out and checked out my car he came back in and told me my car is worth $1500 hmmm so i said thats ok i am not interested thanks. He then said oh i can give u $3000 right away i know that they r playing with my intelligence. So i left. they werent interested in selling me a car i guess i look different than what they prefer to do business with which is ok by me . I would never go back to this dealership anymore. I would take my business elsewhere will also inform my family and friends the same.

08/30 - newest review - place is still a mess, never bringing my Acura back over here.5 months later- This review is under edit. Will be taking my Acura there (06/28/2021) and see if they can assist with the underlying issue.Do not come to this dealership at all. The guy John that sold me the car is a great salesman, but the service department is obsolete. When I bought my car, they didnt even change my breaks, the breaks came with the car totally destroyed. On top of that, about a month later ( all on file ), 2 lights randomly pop up on the dashboard. I bring my car back to address the issue. Staff made me feel uneasy about the issue and made me feel like they did not want to help me. My car has been sitting in the driveway for a month because it cannot pass inspection because of the lights. I should not pay for it, it is not MY FAULT. I bought the car this way!! I left Acura that day, very insulted and mad with the company that I chose to invest my money in. This experience has made me dislike this company, and I worked hard for the ILX I always wanted. If you have had luck with this dealership specifically, congratulations.P.s I am the latest rating, check the others to see of alike issues.Also check my reviews; I leave nothing but great reviews.
I was Not happy with the situation I was in after spending $1500 on a radiator changed as the splash guard under the engine got messed up by the service people. Service Manager at Island Acura contacted me and promised to resolve my issue. MR Anthony called me and informed me that he had ordered the splash guard for me and he will get it replaced at no cost. I honestly felt good and will say this is how you provide best customer service to your customers. Kudos to Mr Anthony and Island Acura to hire professional people like him. Will definitely recommend them.

2017 Acura RDX under 20k mileage . I went for an inspection sticker and they claimed our Front and Rear breaks had to be replaced $600 plus or we will not pass inspection.The breaks where riding trouble free before leaving the car with them.After I refused there overpriced service they had me wait almost an hour and after leaving the car was driving completely differnt then it drove prior to them touching it. Beware this service shop!

The service department is terrible. I’ve had the same issue with my brand new Acura MDX and I’ve taken it there twice and still hesitating. Also took the car there for an oil change, was the first car there and 9 hours later I get a call that it’s almost ready. Really 9 hours for a simple oil change. Never again

Rocky was my sales representative, i got no run around what so ever on the vehicle that i wanted or price range i was willing to pay. I had a great experience dealing with Michael Stevenson. He greeted me at the door and answered all of my questions at the time. I had already test driven the car, therefore I just wanted to discuss pricing. Michael was very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process. He made the decision to buy an Acura from Island Acura an easy one. In addition, the process to pick up the car I wanted was made incredibly simple, as they had no issues finding the car that I desired from another dealer. It took two whole days, and when I came to pick up the vehicle, Michael gave me a brief tour of the vehicle and explained everything that I would need to know to enjoy my purchase.
Please dont come to this dealer sales person by the name of rocky wont return your calls and promised to send me a vin number and did not respond. sorry but I wont be conducting business with sales person that dont reply ro your calls or text. To put our experience in perspective, lets just say that given the choice of car buying or going to the dentist Id easily choose the dentist . Having said that, our experience with Tim at this dealership was totally pain free. In fact, Id go so far as to describe it as pleasant. Tim is the encapsulation of what every car salesman should be. He is knowledgeable about the vehicles without trying to be pushy to sell them. He is honest and transparent about pricing. He will answer questions until he is blue in the face. Island Acura is lucky to have him. Ive purchased two cars from him and have brought others to do the same. There are a lot of things wrong with the car industry. However, island Acura and Tim make up for most of them.

I have been acura owner for long time and I finally stopped by dec 2019 and got a lease Rdx fully loaded from island acura, Darren was really awesome and helped me get one what I wanted. I stopped by recently to get my first oil change done and I was very disappointed the level of customer service it was given knowing the benefit of Covid-19 situation it was horrible. The tire pressure on left rear was 34 and rest was 37 although on the manual it says 33. The oil meter said 30% so it was never setted to 100. I told them about the range of fuel odometer not moving and they simply said to come back later seriously, it was first time using Island acura and i was disgusted with the level of customer service they provide. I have always been to acura of Roslyn and will now go back to them after my lease is over. Regardless of Covid-19 customer service should not go down infact it should go up even more. So be careful if anyone is going there for service. I hope my honest review brings some light to the management. Thank you for reading.
I came into this dealership because I blew out my tire about a mile away and it was the first place I was able to pull in safely close to about 9 pm ( closing time). The salesman Rocky went above and beyond and told me to leave my car at service over night and he assured that they would take care of it first thing in the morning. Bobby filed the drop-off paperwork in a matter of minutes and was an amazing help. Joseph Robinson who is the assistant service manager, took care of my car that next day and had it ready for pickup by the afternoon. The best part of the story is that I have a BMW and they took care of me as if I was an Acura customer. This is what top notch customer service looks like. True professionals. Brought in my RDX for a B1 (oil change and tire rotation) maintenance while I was in town visiting from Toronto. Dropped off the car at 10am and it was completed by 1pm. On my way home, As I returned to the car after running an errand at a local store, realized the air caps on drivers side wheels were missing. I spoke with Tom and went back to the dealership to pick up the missing air caps. Once I reached home, I decided to do a quick inspection of rest of the car, and noticed wheel lock lug nuts on both passenger side wheels were missing. Immediately called the dealership and spoke with Tom once again, he requested me to bring back the vehicle to install the missing lug nuts. I was very irate and frustrated to be in this situation, especially for a reputable dealership to make such mistake on a vehicle. Had I not inspected my vehicle, I would’ve driven back to Toronto and an eighty dollar maintenance would’ve cost me an additional $200 for new wheel locks. Although Tom kept his professionalism and sent a technician to where the car was parked to install new wheel locks, and provided a complimentary oil change for the inconvenience, it’s frustrating to imagine such error would occur at an Acura dealership.Lesson learned from this experience is to never trust the dealer to complete a job and to ensure every owner inspects their vehicle prior to leaving the lot.Question to the dealer - who verifies and signs off on paperwork once each job is complete? Does that practice exist or are you relying on your mechanics for their attention to detail?
My father called earlier today to order a part that was discontinued at a lot of other dealers. Matt in the parts department was a solid help he walked my dad through everything and helped him as much as he could. My dad isn’t good with technology and ask me to write a review for him. I went for my 60,000 mile maintenance and was totally taken advantage of by Rob! Besides being over charged, I was told that I needed brakes. I only replaced the front ones, due to the cost of everything. Then, I was told that I needed windshield wipers. I told him that I replaced them 3 months prior. When I got my bill, I saw that I was charged $200 an hour for labor! Extra services were put in there that I didn’t agree to. When I spoke with the supervisor of service, I was reimbursed $1,200!!I took my car elsewhere for the rear brakes. I was told that they were perfect. I wonder if I really needed to replace the windshield wiper or brakes, like I was told! I will never go back there again! Shame on you Rob!
My family has been a customer here for years. We have bought a number of new cars as well as recommended numerous people to do business here, and they have. Not a single person has ever come back to me with a negative experience, and if something did go wrong, they quickly fixed the best they could. Frank, the General Manager, is truly a nice and good man. He is not like other GMs I have dealt with in other dealerships. He is very fair and very accommodating and always give us good or very good pricing. The service department, run by Joe, is excellent. I can not say enough good things about them. He is always very accommodating and always looks to make sure we are all well taken care of. I have witnessed him treat new and existing customers the same, with the utmost respect. I think the reviews on here implying that Joe got physical is absurd and I would assume its some other dealership playing childish games, which is pathetic. The only way you will know for sure is if you go down to the dealership and see for yourself. I promise you will have the same views on the aforementioned people as I do. Do yourself a favor and see for yourself.

Too long of a list...but culminated in a salesperson literally just disappearing and lying when we were ready to spend a lot of cash! And this was someone we knew...very well...and after we told a customer service person who had the nerve to reach out to us about our experience, a nd her promise to let management know, not one call or any reaching out to try to intervene! We were relocating, so I guess they decided it wasnt worth the sale. Lucky for us! We met some amazing folks at another dealer and are so glad we are forever rid of these folks. Shop around! PS--reaching out after a google review (but not sooner despite phone messages and texts) to offer justifications that arent true, and embedding in your email an ask to reconsider the published review is NOT good customer service--just saying!
I had a lease coming due in mid April so I started shopping around early, from mid January, and it was all horrible until I came here.... I had been given quotes that were outrageous at other places and then I received a flyer in the mail about the specials that they had at Acura. Thankfully I saved the flyer, my husband looked it over and called up. They were kind, courteous and Darren was great. There was none of the run around that we had at the other dealerships that we went to. The special was perfect. I am extremely happy with my new ILX lease. I have a good rate for a really great car. I feel like I am getting my moneys worth. Had it not been for that flyer.... I would hate to think what would have happened. Thank you sooo much Island Acura!

Recently purchased a 2020 TLX A-Spec from island Acura. From my last minute decision to call island acura to see what they had to offer after using other acura dealerships in the past i spoke to Tim who was super friendly, patient and explained everything over the phone and sent me pictures got me to pretty much close the deal right there...i met Rocco the next day at the dealership which they had the car in prestige condition waiting for me square in front of the dealership, Rocco showed me everything about the cars features. Kristina took me through all the paperwork or the very cool high tech computer screen they had built into the desk quickly with nothing but smiles and friendliness. I stopped by to make an appointment to have my first 5k mile service done. I never dealt with the service department before. As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly by Alex. He told me if I wanted it done on the spot they could do it. It was about 1:30pm and I had nothing going on so I agreed. I left the car with them and walked across to have lunch at ACF Pizza. As I was finishing lunch, Alex walked in and said my car was ready. What a great feeling to be dealt with honestly and they treated me as I was the most important customer they ever had. Awesome experience. I love Acura and see a future with my new service guy Alex.
This is the Acura dealer which closes to my home. I had a few recall services for my ACURA MDX so far no complaints. Just wish can be severed quicker but understandable.But I did have a not good experience with an used car buy experience, forgot that guys name, after long hour road testing, trade in and price negotiation. Finally I paid deposit and signed the contact. But half hour later, I was told the car was unavailable already sold to someone else. Not sure if it was true and how it could happen. I was unhappy and not convinced to purchase different one. Eventually I purchased my MDX from Bay Shore Acura.

Im on my second, and probably my last Acura. My last because Im getting old, and with regular service at Island Acura, the car is running as well as it did when it was new.Id like to tell a story that I think reflects on Acura in general. The 2003 TL had a known problem with the transmissions. They had extended the warranty on some cars and called for repairs on others, but mine wasnt covered by either program. My transmission started to fail when I was driving in another state. I managed to limp into the nearest Acura dealer, where they took the car and arranged for a rental so that I could continue my trip. I was resigned to the expense of a new transmission -- but the dealership called Acura, explained the situation, and Acura paid for the entire job, parts and labor. My point, I suppose, is that they didnt have to. I had gone past the warranty by over 10,000 miles and they had no obligation, but they covered the entire job. Ive had similar problems with other makes of automobile and ll Ive gotten was an expression of sympathy and no assistance at all.My point, I suppose, is that my five star rating applies not just to Island Acura, but to the brand and (from limited experience) the dealership network. Neither is perfect -- in a perfect world the transmission wouldnt have failed -- and I have stories that date back to my Fathers 1956 Packard and my 1960 VW -- but when something did happen, Acura and an Acura dealer went well beyond any obligation and did it entirely on their own. Similarly, when I needed a special favor from Island Acura, theyve been there without hesitation. This dealership and this company have been a pleasure to deal with for over a decade.

We couldnt get out of there faster, thats when we decided to go to Island Acura and it was he best decision we made that day. The place was being renovated so we werent sure if it was open but luckily it was ! Our sales rep was Rocky, he was awesome. We had our 2 girls with us (3yr old and 3 month old) so it was a little crazy but the staff was very patient and helped everything go so smoothly. We left with a brand new car feeling extremely grateful. Although they were fixing the place up, they didnt let that lower their standard of customer service. It was outstanding. Cant wait to pay off our other car and come back here for a second Acura. Will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends.

They said theyd take an hour & ten minutes to do the initial service (plus 2 other add-on items) on my 6-month-old car, and they finished and returned it to me (washed) 5 minutes early!
Be careful, they will tell you the services you don’t need for your car to just get cash out of your pocket.. scary services.

See Tim for sales and lease. I addressed a problem with the used car I bought and he made sure it was resolved. However, when I got an oil change on my other car they forgot to replace two screws on the cover and it fell down. I had to get someone else to fix it because they said it wasn’t their fault. Thankfully it was only a $7 part but still should have been done correctly.

This was our first time leasing with Acura. They took us out of our old lease and put us in a great car. The whole process was easy and they were very accommodating.
They were very rude and unprofessional over the telephone. I called to obtain more information about the College Grad Program they were advertising on their website and when I called and asked about the promotion, they responded to me as if I was crazy saying this is a car dealership, we sell cars. I said to them no kidding, I am calling because on your website it says you are running a promotion for college grad students that I would like to look into. Again I got a response like I think you have the wrong the number. I told the woman on the phone No, this is the number it says to contact on your website and then she transferred me to sales. The women on the phone in the sales department again did not seem to know what I was talking about and transferred me to a manager who did not pick up the line. Very, very unprofessional and embarrassing. I mean really, you dont tell your employees about specials you are having? Or are you just falsely advertising a college student promo? You just lost a prospective customer.

This is my first Acura and Im in love. I got a 2010 TSX two years ago, my call it my 4 door coupe. Its spacious, compact, adore all the features, and very dependable. I love the service from Island Acura because they help me in every way possible. Whether it comes to accomdations for rides back home if they plan on having my car for extended periods of time or if Ive forgotten my coupons, they can see what was sent and offer me the same deal with no hassle. These are my go to guys and I have their number on speed dial for all my service needs. This dealership makes my life easy and this company has been an absolute pleasure to work with.

Walked into Island Acura and met Bob Gio. Dressed better than a Wall Street lawyer, we chatted, looked at the car I was interested (an RDX) and ran some numbers.... and left. Very pleasant, no pressure, very friendly. We told him we were just looking and he still took the time to spend a half hour getting to know us and our preferences. We came back a week later, no appointment and he immediately greeted us by name. We were ready to pull the trigger and did so on a nice lease. No pain, no fuss. He said he could return my existing Chrysler for me and save a lot of inconvenience doing that. Just picked up the car last night and he patiently went through all the bells and whistles. He apologized for the weather (raining!) but all was done under cover and in a orderly fashion. Very friendly, yet very business-like... not his first rodeo! I look forward to enjoying my new car and visiting the dealership in the future (did I mention free car washes during the entire lease?)!
