I ordered an item from Baileywicks via their Etsy shop on 9/9/2021. The Etsy listing indicated that the order would be delivered to me by 9/20/2021 which was perfect because I needed it by 9/21/2021. On 9/14/2021, Linda messaged me via Etsy to choose the font for my item. I confirmed my font choices with her on 9/15/2021 when she responded that she had gotten them. On 9/17/2021 I checked in with Linda because my order status had not been marked as shipped, but another similar order from a different Etsy shop ordered on the same day had been. Linda said that Etsy delivery estimates did not factor in holidays so it may be a little off, despite there not being a holiday between 9/9 and 9/21. In the message to her where I expressed that I needed this item by 9/21 and there was no update to the order, she told me that I should have let her know sooner that I needed it by a specific date, even if that specific date fell within the time that it was expected. There was nothing on the listing or the Baileywicks shop page that there would be delays. I inquired again on 9/21 about my item, asking if it would arrive to me that day, as Linda had promised when I purchased the item and communicated with her on 9/17. Linda responded that the order had not been printed because I did not confirm my font choices even though she responded to the message on 9/15 with my font choices, meaning my item that was ordered on 9/9, supposed to be delivered by 9/21 but hadnt even been printed by 9/21. She magically found my font choices immediately and while she did offer to print it the next day, there was still no true estimate of when the item would arrive to me. I was waiting to be able to leave this review on Etsy, which I was able to do on 9/22, but Linda cancelled the order before the review window opened. Reading the reviews on the Baileywicks Etsy shop that it took longer than expected to arrive, I figured that was because of logistical issues, not because it would take 8 business days to print my order with no notice of that.
