So i have not visited this location yet, but i have had their meat products from a store they sell to meat too. And they are awesome! Love the venison steaks and Elk burgers! Cant wait to give this place a visit and stock up my freezer!

This is a really interesting place if youre looking for novel proteins. Tucked away in a neighborhood and off the beaten path, Butcher Boy does small scale meat processing, so if youre a hunter or urban farmer this might be convenient if you want professional butchering. They also have a small shop area with three freezers full of out of the ordinary meats.Bison, venison, camel, alligator, pheasant, rabbit, elk, ostrich, elk, snake... all kinds of whole cuts and ground, expertly packaged and sold frozen. They also have some cased meats (the hunters sausage made from elk is delicious), locally made pierogis, and a few other items.Real mom and pop operation - pick what you like and a proprietor will ring you up in the side room. All told, a nice little secret hole in the wall if you want to try something new for a special occasion.

I have been going here for 3 years. I do not know why peopls are leaving nasty comments you dont like it go else where. I have NEVER had a bad experience here. Yes most is froozen because they dont have high amounts of people like Krogers etc. Its a great place ive tried everything never had ANY thing bad. Always welcoming and nice. Always answer ANY questions i have. When i want a GREAT BUFFALO BURGER this is the palce to go for the meats!! My doctor told me ans i couldnt remember if deer or buffalo was better for my high blood pressure. Lady said definitely buffalo was better and she was right when i asked my doctor. I will always go here💖💖 much love

I love this place. Im trying to put myself in the mindset of people who have given it negative reviews. I will say they primarily do distribution so yes the store isnt the most inviting and of course they specialize in game and novelty meats that arent mass produced so yes they do have to freeze somethings. That said its a unique store with great selection and a lot of fun and interesting stuff.

Ive bought a few different kinds of meat from here on about 4 occasions. Very interesting choices. Prices initially seem high to me, but now seem reasonable after I consideded it is not normal mass production meat like Chicken or Beef. As others have stated, the store is not as nice an most retail stores nowadays. Since everything I buy is frozen and sealed, the store appearance is not a big deal to me personally.Im not a hunter, so no experience with their processing business.

Interesting section. Maybe. Absolutely nothing is fresh. Everything is pretty much a block of ice. Only employee in there really didnt know much about the meats other than the price. And that lack of knowledge is an issue floor my confidence in the place. It stopped any urge to spend any more than what I initially came in for

Took my deer here this year. They were quick but Im 99% sure it isnt my deer or they kept a lot of it or who knows. One of the tenders they gave me is about 1 wide by 2 long. My deer had great tenders in it. Then turned most of the deer to ground meat? No ribs, or rib meat, and 4 very small back straps. They destroyed a whole pig I brought in 2 years ago, I should have learned. Never going back.

I don’t know why this place has so many bad reviews sounds like a lot of haters and whiny wimps. I’ve tried most of their meats, buffalo, elk, venison, organic chicken, duck bacon, all types of sausages, swamp chicken (gator). The prices are more than beef and chicken from the grocery store but it’s better meats. I just moved south, out of state, and I thought I’d find an easy time finding a place like this down here but it’s been difficult and expensive. People take this place for granted, if you don’t like it go somewhere else.

Worst place I been to for deer processing! Expensive and they don’t care! Brought them a whole deer for processing and when I picked it up the meat wasn’t even from my own deer! They just grab a brown paper bag and grab whatever or whoever meat that was already process and gave me the correct amount or lbs. Never going back. It’s just that it near town and people go to it. Wouldn’t refer to anyone that I know.

This place is bad news, just take a good look at how they keep the building up. Their prices are high, quality poor. Nothing fresh all frozen. Want good Buffalo meat not frozen, try Franks on Jefferson just north of 10 mile rd.

Went here recently. Did not buy anything from here, thats for sure. I know hole in the walls can be good so I decided to go in to check it out. All of the meat was frozen and over priced. I did not get a good vibe that I was getting quality meat so I decided to not get anything. After speaking with other butcher markets they advised not to get anything from there as well. Would not recommend anybody getting food from here

Great place. We have been going for years. Never disappointed. Bought a lot of stuff for parties and they have been very helpful.

Took my deer here last hunting season, they work fast and the pricing is good. Got my deer back in less than a week.

Bad meat. I dont know how it got 5 star reviews all over. The ground buffalo i bought smelled like old meat while cooking. Disgusting. Waste of money. Never again.

Worst experience Ive ever had from there frozen meat took two weeks to get my deer only after I called 4 times they said it has been ready just havent called. 200 dollars later never coming there again
