I had a remote start put into my car. It was the first time doing something like this and Tim was very helpful. He provided me with a number of options, information on them, and provided his own input. He was great to work with and very honest and trustworthy. Upon receiving my service, they were a lot quicker than expected. Especially, considering I had no appointment or anything. They got right to it and I was in and out in no time. I would definitely go back if I every have a need for any electronic features added to my vehicle. Zero complaints on my service.

John at Royal Oak was a pleasure to talk to. Hes kind and professional and explained everything up front. Only reason its not 5 stars is because of the price hike from whats advertised. Expect to spend at least 100-200 more on top of what they say. The installation itself was like Magic, these people are pros and got my car done within an hour, probably less! That in of itself for me is worth the costs they hike on. Afterwards, John personally walked me through the remote installation and how it operates. I had other cars and went to Dearborn but Mickey Shorr is definitely worth it and Ill be a repeat customer at Royal Oak location. Thank you John and the installer!!!

This place is Over pricey, they charged me $385 for a Viper old version remote starter. And waiting time was 5 hours, no one cares about the service.

These doofs tried to rip me off by saying that they couldnt replace my door speakers without replacing the top tweeters also .. trying to charge me a 150 dollar installation fee .. and trying to sell me some 220 dollar unnecessary door tweeter/speakers .. Im sure you can guess what I told them.. I took my vehicle to ABC warehouse where they installed the speakers I originally sought for only 50 bucks .. and guess what.. my top tweeters are working just fine .. they didnt need to be replaced..please do not let these people rip you off .. ty

Theyre nice and very tolerant with our truck that likes to cause problems. All in all they did a good job no matter how stubborn things were being.

In the end you told me my head unit wouldnt work. Ive been hooking up systems for over 20 years had I had a place and tools(were stolen) to do it i would have. Installed my car starter, seems to be working fine.., but they lost my car keys while I was there. Waited for about an hour while they looked for them. 😕

They installed me an alarm system and it was not set correctly, alarm went off randomly, charged me to reprogram it. Then said they dont like this brand they sold me and only sold it to clear it off the shelf.

Just left the shop and scheduled an appointment to get my remote car starter installed Saturday. Tim and Gino were great, very pleasant,knowledgeable and down to earth. Would recommend this place to everyone due to the great service received today.

Stopped in last week trying to get a radio installed in my truck, the guy up front was nice and sent someone out to look at it. We walked out there, he uttered something about them not having a kit he smelled pretty strongly of booze and I left without a radio.

Total con artists. I asked for the cheapest car starter installed, they came back with 380 dollars. When I hesitated at that price, he instantly dropped it 60 dollars. I went to another shorr location a fee miles away, and got a tier up starter, installed, for 258 dollars. And the warranties were different between stores. That tells me that they wanted to pocket the extra money. I emailed their main office and the BBB. Dont use the Warren location.

The person I spoke to was very knowledgeable and he gave me a very nice deal on a JVC double din touchscreen stereo and the install kit for my Blazer.

The service was good, but they were supped to give a promo code so I get the fist yer for 1.99 for my smart start. they gave me three codes so far all three of them were used. called the TOLL free number and they cant do anything about it. its been four days and they still havent gave me a GOOD promo code.but John the Manager was nice enough to take care of it and also offered me to give me a T-shirt or their brand.

Got brand new radio on line paid 200+ dollars to have it installed, 2 days layer radio wouldnt power up. I understand it could be bad radio from the company but making sure we didnt even look at it and tell me if it was their fault or a bad radio.

Excellent service - My wife and I brought our 2 new vehicles to Mickey Shorr in Warren and they installed 2 viper remote start car alarms. There was an on-going technical issue with the viper systems that they worked on - replacing the entire system in both vehicles. Eventually they contacted Viper (very hard to do yourself) and Mickey Shorr and Viper discovered an issue with the alarm design when used on my vehicle. They then hardwired a circuit instead of using the vehicle CAN buss electrical system and both alarms work great now. I would say that Mickey Shorr lost a lot of money trying to satisfy us and eventually they took care of us. I am glad I did not try to install the alarms myself. John, the manager is great, I also give high regards to Ron and Mike who worked on my cars. The man who did the window tinting - excellent job, I cannot find a mistake in the entire job and we did both vehicles. All the people there are great to work with. I first went to Car Tunes and met a rude manager who talked down to me. I went to Mickey Shorr and it was the good old fashion treat your customer like a king approach which is hard to find these days.

I went to Mickey Shorr in Warren on a Thursday and spoke with John about a Viper remote start, I dropped my Ford Transit van off on Friday morning to Brian, and before 1pm that same day, they called to tell me the installation was completed. They programmed the run time to my requested 1 hour duration and explained to me all of the features that my 2 way system has. Im happy with the professional salesmen and installers and my remote start works from inside LCA.

I called to ask about the price for a remote starter. The person answered me was not knowledgeable. I have been calling couple places to get the best price and everyone I called just needed to know my car model and year and what features I am looking for and gave me a quote. This place kept telling me I have to bring the car to their shop and they will check it and see what it needs to give me a price. To me, it looks they do not know what they are doing to know how much a very popular job costs.

We already had a new car radio but needed help installing it. Tim came to our rescue today; he sat down in our car and walked us through the steps of installing the radio- all at no charge! I had a terrible experience here today. Absolutely horrible. Came in during opening and purchased an alarm starter combo that they said would be finished by closing time. I arrive back at 5 PM with them closing at 5:30 PM and they still did not pull my truck into the shop to work on. I had to give the installer money to stay past closing to finish my alarm and starter because I was leaving town the next day and needed it done. The sales person should have never wrote it up if he knew it would not be complete it. I was very unhappy in this dissatisfied. I will never come back. Especially after this was my fourth product that Ive had Installed at this location. Livid!

I was going between Mickey Shorr and ABC Warehouse for a remote car starter for the winter. I was misquoted a price by ABC on an alarm system instead of a remote starter and didnt trust they knew what they were doing after several failed calls that would keep getting rerouted. However, the guys at Mickey Shorr had caught the error on the misquoted installation, beat the price ABC gave with a better brand (Viper > Python), and were able to get me in same day for installation. Everyone was courteous and helpful to get me the right system for my cars. This is my second time here and Ill be bringing in my third car to them as well. Highly recommend talking to John Hawkes for automotive electronics products and services.

Im giving 2 stars because you can find some deals on equipment. But, if you have to buy something from here, go anywhere else to have it installed. I had an amp installed with a cap & new speakers. The amps gain was set way too high & blew my speakers instantly at a low volume & in turn damaged the amp. Cap was installed upside down with the top bracket bearing all the weight, which it wasnt designed to do leading to it breaking in a short period of time. Also had to correct them on what materials I needed to purchase to facilitate the amp install leading to a reduction of cost/materials. It wasnt my 1st rodeo when it comes to audio equipment.

Was told the remote starters was a two way and its not. The stereo they installed will lose 10 minutes in time then return to the correct time the next day causing me to be late to work. Very long waits.

My mother, brother and father including myself all came in for remote starters tried to charge us all an extra $70+ each for an adapter we didn’t need because our keys don’t have chips in them then they made us copy the key and chip! Liars and thieves tried to scam me out of more money for insurance I didn’t even ask for. Very disappointed in the service and can’t believe the scams I’ll never bring another vehicle here again. Being a mechanic for the past 3 years helped me prove them wrong and the employee tried to pull it out on google and failed so he walked in the back.

Got my car starter here 2 months ago and have had no issues with it.

Bad.all bad. Had 4 door speakers installed.,an amp, wires, a 12 inch Kenwood sub. That was recommended buy the sails man. Listen to it for an hour. ....fried out and over heated to the point where it all most caught fire. Paid $700.00. And stuck with a bad product. They tell me to turn my amp down...really. I pay to have my amp up. Pay for a loud system. Pay have a product that works....all most caused a fire lucky i could smell the wire melting. Turned it off. Now its fried. Wont work at all. Installed 4hrs. Ago. So Ill take off work tomorrow to return this garbage. Thanks.....

Told me the remote start i bought did something that it didnt. So sales man gave me the right one for the same price. But when i went to leave truck kept starting up and shutting off every 10 secs. The guy at the counter says sometimes you can get away without hookin up a wire. So they fixed it. A week later something starts sparking in my dash and the wires were burning.the manager Isaiah was the best person i ever had to deal with. Mechanics in the back are retarded

We got subs installed. Piss poor job. They didnt mount them or strap them down and they slide and flip all over my trunk. They also didnt give me my bass knob that should have come with the subs. Then I just found them online with a bass knob for less than half what I paid for mine without a knob. Never again.

Hello, so I have always been a mickey shorr guy. So I brought a 97 Pontiac trans am 3 years ago and I badly needed a sound system to go along with my strong motor LS1 lol. I brought over $600 worth of stuff. Long story short, I was experiencing intermittent power lost to my radio and windows. After 3 years I bring my car up there and I paid for a new wiring harness and garage check for diagnostic tests. The sound tech found something in my bcm was loose so he researched it and found and fixed the issue. He saved me over $500. These guys could have told me to go away, its an electrical issue. But no they actually fixed the issue. I couldnt be any happier with my service. In the service industry, people always air their complaints but never offer a compliment. The whole staff was awesome so the least I could do is buy them all some jets pizza. Again the least I could do for awesome service. These guys are the real deal. I would recommend these guys for all of your mobile electronic needs. So if you see a black 97 Pontiac trans am Ws6 model blasting Detroit Techno music, just know its was all because of I Went to Mickey Shorr in Warren, mi on van dyke just south of 14 mile road. I really wasnt happy with my remote start..5 months after installation the main remote went bad...i went to the shop they said the remote unfortunately came bad so it wont be working..and they would reprogram me another remote for $100 more...but get this the warranty doesnt cover the remote.
