They did a great job on upgrading our pontoon boat. Looks like a brand new one. Would recommend them.
It’s actually a business called you the fan and I liked it.
I recently purchased a used helm at a very reasonable cost from David King and was fortunate that they had one that matched the color combination of the new seats that I purchased. He’s also been available for me to ask questions about the entire restoration process. I’ll be going back in the future for other things in the future and I’d recommend him to anyone for their pontoon restoration.
David restored my 24 Foot 1990 Manitou Pontoon. He did a nice job restoring my pontoon. The seats are sharp looking and of good quality. I saved a lot of money restoring my old pontoon compared to buying a brand new one which can cost as much as a new car. David went the extra mile delivering my pontoon. When the pontoon got stuck in shallow water due to a strong East wind, Dave jumped in the water with his clothes on to push the pontoon into deep water. This was in April and the water wasn’t actually warm. I would not hesitate to recommend Pontoon Restoration for your pontoon restoration project.
Dave took our old pontoon and made it better than new. He had some awesome ideas and was very creative. Finished 2 weeks earlier than he estimated, and was right on budget. Thanks Dave for the awesome job. 👍👍👍👍👍
They werent even interested in giving us an estimate. We were looking to get our seats replaced in our pontoon. But I guess they are only interested in bigger clients. If Pontoon Restoration Company wasnt interested in having us for a customer or too busy or whatever, I wish they would have just told us in the first place. Now we are behind in the process by almost 1 month. We have finally given up. Very disappointed.
David from Pontoon Restoration was great to work with. He gave me multiple choices for restoring my 2003 Aqua Patio pontoon. Once we decided on a complete restore, we dropped off the boat at Davids shop and his team went to work. David kept me apprised of the progress the whole way through, sending me pictures and letting me know timing. Once the project was finished, we picked up our boat and could not have been more pleased. Our pontoon is like brand new and everyone we have taken out on the boat has commented on how nice it looks. Totally recommend Pontoon Restoration for your Pontoon needs. Thank you David!!!
David and his team did an amazing job on our pontoon. David came out of his way to come to the house to discuss the restoration and was very helpful in our decision making process. I highly recommend him and his company. We are very very pleased with the result.
Dave helped with the overall design and specific desires with our pontoon restoration. We were highly satisfied with the result! He was on time and very receptive to any post work minor problems. Of course, everyone on the lake thought we bought a new pontoon! Definitely worth the cost.
David and his crew did a very good job on the restoration of my 2007 Crest pontoon. His advise and suggestions were very helpful.I like the quality of the materials used and the people He has working for him are great to work with. If I had another boat to restore I would definitely work with David to get it done. Great job guys!!!
Dave restored our pontoon about 5 years ago. It still looks great! Will definitely use him again when the time calls. He also shrink wraps the pontoon for us!
David did a great job and drove 6 hours one way to pick up our boat. He spent time going over all of our options to refurbish the 2006 boat. Returning in the Spring with a completely rebuilt boat. We could not be happier with his service and attention to detail.
Our experience with this business was very disappointing. Right from the start David King seemed to be more focused on getting our money rather than doing a good job on our boat. Buyer beware, this is a money hungry third class operation. They don’t deserve one star.
David was great, rebuilt our pontoon for a fraction of the cost of a new one.
David is a person of high integrity and his company is one of high quality
As a former employee I can honestly say everthing is built with compassion and pride. David goes out of his way for the customers and their needs.
If you want the best restoration for your pontoon go see the king, Dave King at Pontoon Restoration. They did an amazing job. Ill never buy new again
Pontoon restoration did a complete restoration of our 25 year old pontoon about 3 years ago. They did a great job. They replaced the decking only where needed, instead of just completely replacing, which saved us money. They suggested and put down the vinyl on the on the deck which is great, very easy to clean, and does not get hot. Also they raised the side walls about 1/2 which allows for water to run off, rather than being caught as it was in the past, this was again their suggestion. The seats they replaced have held up well. We definitely would recommend their work.
Dave and the rest of his guys did very well for me. When I arrived my order was already on the trailer ready to drive away, he made sure we had everything before we left, and even checked to ensure we made it home safely.
Great help and information on restoring my own pontoon
They repaired my pontoon cover when the competion only wanted to sell me a new cover ..
Great to work with you! Thanks for the no worry service.
Custom boats and friendly owner cant beat it!
Not a good experience with this company. At first I thought it was a good choice. He came to my location to pick up my boat. We worked on the details of the job and off he went with my boat. Then all the fun started. It was frustrating trying to get ahold of Dave the owner. I would send texts to him and I wondered if he even read them. Now we get to the good part. He calls me up and tells me the boat will be done and I need to have payment in a week which I agreed to. However the return trip to bring my boat back went from $490 to $1000 because he decide to get a new truck and he needed some to help pay for it. Right then and there I knew this guy was shady. So instead of paying him a grand for delivery I purchased a trailer and made the 4 hour trip to see the boat and pick it up myself. I get there and the the boats not even done. They have to put lights on it, dock lights and the blue interior lights. So I go to lunch and realize they didnt put the pedestal support bracket in the floor. I call Dave up and tell him about that. I asked Dave if he fired up the engine he says no hes seen that it had been winterized by someone. That winterization was from several years ago. However instead of calling me he just doesnt do anything. I get the boat home and the engine turns over but wont fire up. So I now wonder is there something wrong with the engine or did this shoddy business not hook something up correctly. The engine ran fine before I shut it down, how do you hook up the new console wiring and not double check to make sure you wired it correctly. So Im still without a boat in the water because of this company. I would recommend finding someone else to work on your boat. Dave is more worried about getting your deposit and then payment than he is about doing a good job. I shouldnt give this business 1 star. August 6th this is an update on our experience with this company. I finally was able to get my boat serviced so that we could use it this summer. I took my boat to Ohio Boat Works who worked on the problem we were having with the shifter. What they told me was that the control/shifter box was totally jacked up nothing was hooked up correctly. Someone at Pontoon restoration had have taken the box apart to get the cables through the opening on the new console they installed. Apparently that person did not know how to do that or the manager that quit that day sabotaged the box. Thank you Ohio Boat works for fixing this problem. After taking my boat out for the first time this summer I noticed the lights that Pontoon restoration put on are now falling off and coming out of the seat, maybe that is what happens when the job is not done correctly, they did this at the last minute only because I noticed it when I picked up the boat. And then I also notice the gas gage and the speed gage on the new console that Pontoon restoration installed do not work either. I wish I would have taken my boat to Ohio Boat works instead of wasting my time with this company and Dave King. I take my 1 star back and I would give them nothing but bad marks. If you take your boat here you take the chance of getting the same service. If you do not believe me look at the other post. I saw two others with the same type of service. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this company and I would absolutely not recommend Pontoon Restoration. However I would recommend using Ohio Boat Works in Reynoldsburg Ohio. Michael is a good guy and they know how to restore all types of boats, pontoon to power boats.
Hit an miss...can find seats and accessories cheaper and dont have to wait on them to ship and pick up according to quoted prices. Have know a few people that have used this company with 50/50 results.
Good service and people to do business with
Our issue with Dave and his company has been resolved.
