The staff were very friendly though I was really surprised by how much my package would cost to ship - $127. The staff offered me use of their public computer (with a $2 fee for every 10 min, of course) to shop around my options and Im glad I did. UPS.com gave me a rate of $101, a savings of $26 (less the $2.15 for using their computer and printing my label).I never knew that it cost more to ship via the UPS store than it does to print the label via UPS.com! Learn something new everyday. Ive rated the store 3 stars, not because of the service but because of the expense.

I needed to ship a number of storage totes to a family member in Oklahoma. Lucas was able to sort out some miscommunication and confusion as to how to ship the totes. He was very patient, professional, polite, and very conscientious about finding the proper and most cost-effective way to ship the items so nothing would be damaged or lost. He physically helped bring totes and packed boxes in and out of the store for me and fielded phone calls with my family member in Oklahoma. He was very friendly and personable, never once did I feel like we were bothering him. I was there for about an hour and had the opportunity to see how Lucas knew quite a few customers that went in and out by name(this is a very busy store) and was just as friendly and helpful to everyone. It is very rare to see such a work ethic nowadays. Steve was another employee that assisted in this process who also was very friendly and professional. Thank you for making a frustrating and unpleasant task end on very positive note. And I just heard from my family member! The four boxes packed on Tuesday afternoon were delivered to her house today!(Friday) Impressive!

If I could you a less star I would, ignorant not helpful at all!!When I go to the UPS store in Cranston Atwood Avenue they help me so much,There was one person and he could not be bothered with me I needed a little bit of help and I was the first in line he kept taking people behind me because I was taking a little more time only because I needed help someday he’s going to need help hopefully he will catch a better person to help him then and I did,,He was the only person with a line full of people go to Cranston at least they have four or five workers

Dropped off around 40 packages on one night came back the next to do the same and was told not to come back the next day. Said that is to many packages. All they had to do was accept them, all labeling was done. When I asked if they were part of the UPS structure the guy said we are separate and dont take that many packages.Thanks for the great customer service.The UPS store in Lincoln, RI area has taken many more from me on multiple days in a row.

It was nice to go to a shop where I wasnt greeted by robots who made it visibly obvious they didnt want to be there, but rather people who looked like they were having fun and enjoying work. Ive been in twice in the past week for various reasons, notary work by Steve and a print & mail job with Lucas, both of which were very positive experiences with competent employees. Will certainly be returning to this location when I need their services again!

The manager, Steve, here is absolutely amazing! I was trying to ship a return that UPS (the company, not this store) kept changing the address to a recommended address that was NOT the place it needed to go to. I spent several times calling UPS directly and no one could help me. It wasnt until I went back to the store in a panic and Steve helped me out no problem. Even after Steve corrected the address the first time, UPS still modified it and was shipping it to the wrong location. I went back the next day and told Steve about the issue and he got them on the phone immediately and made sure everything was fixed a second time. He was extremely helpful and understanding through the whole process! I highly recommend this store!

I went into this UPS close to closing time after a long day at work and wanted to ship 10 separate care packages I put together for some of our nurses and technicians who put themselves at risk of exposure to Covid-19 daily in order to serve our patients. When asked what the packages contained I said hand sanitizer which Steve promptly told me could not be shipped due to safety concerns. I should have been smart enough to think about that prior but didn’t and instead of Steve asking me to go through each box and remove myself he provided white glove service and helped me untie and remove hand sanitizers from each one while I retied the packages. I cannot tell you how grateful I was for his help and to see such fantastic customer service this day in age, not to mention the good energy this will send to our front line staff. I will definitely make this my primary UPS moving forward and would highly recommend, thank you Steve!!!

I have been paying 120 dollars for a box here every 6 months. I never had an issue when calling to ask about things as I was homeless for at least 5 years and needed my mail to go somewhere. I was not able to get there at times and often called to ask about important paperwork as I am disabled and a veteran. Lately, I have had them be rude, demeaning and not answer the phone at all. I had an emergency and could not get to the box and wanted to know if a certified letter had been delivered. The person on the other end answered, placed me on eternal hold and never came back and as the time to close came closer, the person would not answer at all. I got incredibly angry and left some nasty voice messages as I felt slighted and treated very badly. I called back to apologize and explain my situation and told them that I was really worried because I had to wait til Monday to find things out. My life was on the line at that time. They took my apology but did not apologize for the worker, instead stated over and over that their phones were not working, that the person was too busy. Mind you it was not a heightened time for deliveries. I forgot all about it and the next call I was treated with some decency until today, when I called over and over and they ignored my calls altogether, and it always happens on a Saturday. My car is needing repairs and I had a package that I needed delivered to my address instead but I could not even get through. I ended up taking a risk and jumping my car and left it running so I could get my package which was delivered incorrectly to my box address instead of my physical address. Mind you that I do not have but 300 dollars in my account for at least a month to make it through, the package was a portable washing machine so I can at least wash my clothes in my apartment. There was no way I could have afforded a tow from their location 15 miles away to my house. I got there, got my mail, went through it did not say anything. As soon as I got to the desk to request my package, I have one of them shaking his head and the other being a total hypocrite. I asked in a toned down voice, what is going on with your phones?? He stated again oh it is because we changed to verizon, we have been having trouble with the phones. I could not believe my ears and stated I cannot believe that you are going to come up with that again. That is when he proceeded to call me by my first name and threaten me with closing my box, and telling everyone in the store while he looked at them about the calls I had made. He demeaned me in front of everyone, continued to threaten me with well what is it, do you want to keep your box or not? I will be calling Corporate office and I will definitely be getting some justice for this public berating. I am hoping that this store will face trouble soon and that they close permanently. I told him that how dare he berate me and threaten me in front of customers for a simple question. People do not understand the circumstances of your life and they take everything for face value. I was diagnosed with breast cancer recently, my car does not work, I am not able to do a lot of things and people just do not care. I hope that he will have something really serious happen to him so that then he can stop being the way he is cause if not someone will teach him a lesson someday, just not me, I do not waste my time with garbage.

Very rude and condescending staff. One time I was shipping a $2800 bass guitar. He asked to look in the case. There was one ding on the guitar and he started trying to peel the paint off with his fingernail(!). I was like what the ____ are you doing. He proceeded to tell me how he has a guitar he got with his Marlboro miles. So I guess that makes him an expert luthier? Ill never go back again.

Called the store before going to pick up my package was told package was there. When I got there woman went on computer said my package wasnt there. I explained to her I just called this morning and was told it was here. She kept telling me I didnt call there. I was getting very frustrated because I know where I called. She then told me they only had 10 pkg there and she would know if they had it they didnt have a pkg with my name. I believe there were three people working at the time. I looked at my confirmation on my phone and told them who received the pkg and they walked to a shelve in the front and guess what it was there. I would not leave those people alone running my store poor customer service and quess what not one word from any of them she just turned around and walked in the back.

I got behind the counter and figured it all out but my print had a punk line through it that was not on my file. Was told, if you need better then youll have to go somewhere else. I needed a document notarized and spoke with Ken. He could not have been more rude. He demanded a photo copy of my license and to copy and retain the legal documents he was going to notarize. Sorry but I dont really need Kenny to have a copy of my legal documents for his reading pleasure. It was like he was doing me a favor not that I was a customer about to hand him $60 (for 12 of his signatures). I took my business elsewhere and promised him a review. I found a great couple who did the notarizing for me with a smile and kind words. Mobile Notary Services of RI is the name of the company. STAY AWAY FROM KEN and his store in general.

This review reflects on UPS as a whole and not just this one particular store. At the end of my long story with them- botttom line is that UPS doesn’t take responsibility for damaging your packages. I shipped a TV I bought from Target to our new home in Colorado- it was in the original package that target gave it to us in, so I didn’t think there was an issue with the packaging method. After all, if this is how the tv made it to target then why would there be a problem shipping it the same way again? Once I arrived in Colorado and UPS finally delivered my broken, mangled and destroyed TV (brand new at a $2000 cost) their offices and “investigation team” determined the packaging was “insufficient”. They justified this by saying TV’s in the original package are often shipped together and next to each other so the packaging can be less sturdy and they’ll ship safely with companies ordering them in mass amounts. As an average consumer how am I supposed to know that?I told them if the packaging was insufficient then I would’ve been happy to take it back home and modify it, or just not even ship it with them. But the day I had brought it to them to ship it- everybody said it was fine. Personally- I feel like there was some malicious intent on behalf of the store. The owner was in house that day and was making some some racist joke and racist remark about Asian culture. He thought he was being really funny trying to say some stereotypical phrases in an Asian accent, I could tell he was a bit surprised once he realized my wife is Filipino and standing right there. That kind of behavior makes me wonder if whatever it is that was making him angry that day made him break our stuff on purpose before it even got to Colorado. Regardless. I guess it doesn’t matter anyways, it’s nesrly impossible to get anywhere with this company over the phone, and even worse over email. They have me some insurance money for the damages.. as if that even comes close to the cost of the tv (not even a little bit). They tried to pretend that it was a huge favor and a big consolation for me, and that I didn’t even deserve that couple hundred dollars because of some fine print policy. Sure. Maybe you’re right about your policy reflecting that. But it still doesn’t make UPS any less of a discriminatory company or any less responsible for breaking my television and refusing to pay for it. Thanks a bunch UPS.

I recently moved internationally and asked my parents to send me some of my personal belongings via UPS. First of all, they did not give them the right paperwork and had them run back to the store twice. Then, after we were all set, my package was returned to sender because they tried to insure it for $140,000 rather than $1400. On top of that, the paperwork was still incomplete because when they scanned the international invoice, half of it was cut off. They even told me Id need to pay duty taxes on the items (that were all used & mine) and charged me an exorbitant amount to cover duty taxes that I dont even have to pay. On top of all that, they are a franchise and going through actual UPS for a refund is a no-go, you have to deal with them directly. My package was supposed to be here Tuesday, but Ill be lucky to get it by next Tuesday. Awful.I had never had a negative experience with this place before, but I will never use them again. The Jefferson Blvd center fixed the issues for me and had my package picked back up after a return to sender caused by the incompetence of this UPS Store at no extra cost.EDIT: I was given a full refund of the shipping price (minus the cost of packaging & insurance) and the woman I worked with was pleasant and understanding. Still, my review and feelings remain the same and will not use this franchise again.
