What a generous, Loving and Kind Owner that Showed up at my home when I desperately needed a kind word of encouragement!! I was Trying my Best to help our Community with a Toy Drive, and Unfortunately, others had made that hard for me. She did not know that, but her kind words of Encouragement, Generosity and Love, In Turn, Helped Many Others!!! I will Never Ever Forget You!!!!
We were having a positive experience until the tree fell off the top of our car traveling 65 miles an hour on I70 east. We were barely on the road for 5 mins before that tree fell off. Yes a worker at the candle tree farm helped us tie it down. And yes she did a horrible job. I am sorry that I got a little emotional on the phone talking to the manger. Please understand that the mistake from your worker jeopardize my whole family’s safety and the safety of all the cars traveling with us when the incident happened. We had a toddler in the car and had to pull over on a busy highway. My husband had to get out of the car, walked against traffic to retrieve that beat up tree so it didn’t cause more dangers to the traffic. As we tucked the tree back in the car, we saw another car pulled over to secure their tree. If you can imagine the scenario, you would understand my anger, horror and disappointment. This is our second year coming to Candle and this will be the last one.
Such a wonderful experience! Everyone there is always so helpful and polite. Weve been getting out Christmas trees there since our kids were toddlers. They couldnt make it this year because of covid however my wife and I had a great time.
Really nice as always. Staff was helpful, all masked. Nice looking trees.
My family went the day after Thanksgiving and there was a large selection of trees and many varieties. The staff was very helpful and they had wagon rides out to the different fields of trees. There were so many trees it was hard to select one. They shake it out and put it through a machine that wraps it up and they help you get it to your car. There was a very festive atmosphere. Wonderful experience!
The Candle Tree experience is fantastic. Ive read some reviewers complaining about the size of the trees. Well, trees cant be forced to grow faster. Ive seen tons of trees of varying heights here; the key is to shop for your tree early in the season - this place is super popular (for good reason). Free hot chocolate and coffee, family-friendly, staff is awesome, and the trees are beautiful and affordable. Their website is updated every week about their tree availability. This is a family-owned business and they work hard all year to provide amazing trees for just about every preference. Its frustrating to see them criticized online for running out of extremely tall trees a week before Christmas. If you want a tree of a specific height on short notice - buy a fake tree or hit up a roadside stand. If youre in it for the experience and a quality tree: this farm is the place for you.
The tractor ride and barn are nice . Unfortunately we couldnt find any trees over 7 feet tall. We asked for a tall tree and were told they are mixed in threw out the fields. After about an hour of looking found nothing. Went back to the barn to purchase a tree that was already cut and brought in but those only went to 7 or 8 feet also. Why wouldnt they at least bring some tall pre cut ones in to sell for people looking for big trees. So we had to go to a road side stand to get a 10 foot tree.
My family has been cutting our own trees for over 30 years. When the farm we previously patronised all but shut down, we were in the market for a new place. This year we did some research and were excited to visit Candle Tree Farm. The place was exactly what we were looking for! The selection was amazing and the fields were tended too and werent over run with Jagger bushes. Their trees were well taken care of too. After cutting our tree, the tractors will haul your tree back to be bailed and shook. Prices range from $35 for the much less desirable scotch and white pine. Half the Firs and the blue spruce are $45 and the rest of the firs are $49. They clearly lable the areas that are which and also have lineup of the trees at the farm to show you which tree is which. And after all that, you can enjoy free hot chocolate and coffee in the barn, or purchase any of the crafts and wreaths.Overall an excellent experience that my family and I will continue for decades!
For the first time in my life, I went to a tree farm and didnt get a tree. This is my first time trying Candle Tree Farm, and I wont be going back. The farm and staff were great, but the trees were all small and ugly. Save your time and go somewhere else. This is one of the cheapest tree farms in the area, and the ugly trees explains why.
Got the perfect small Canaan Fir on o November 30. Very friendly and helpful people . Be prepared for a little muddy trek; if its warm, but no big issue, Excellent experience
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were slightly disappointed that this years crop of Fraser firs were mostly gone but I guess that is what happens when you get a tree less than two weeks before Christmas.
Always fun?
Awesome wonderful place!
