The one thing that retail stores needs right now is customers visiting them in person! Where are the sales assistants who put the customer first in every decision they make, and from time to time use something called common sense? If only in-store staff were as proud and welcoming of customers who want to participate in the Shirt Recycling scheme as your marketing department! Spoke to 3 different members of staff who were NOT aligned on the T&Cs of this scheme... I left feeling embarrassed and very frustrated indeed as this was one of the main reasons for my trip into store. My contact with 2 senior sales staff - a young lady on the ground floor and a gentleman on -1 floor was entirely exhaustive, no energy whatsoever or real genuine desire to help me. No genuine smile, no thank you for bringing in my shirts, no interest at all in me or why I chose to come to this store - yes, people are still going into store to make purchases rather than online. Only when I questioned their knowledge of the Recycling scheme did they reluctantly offer to take my shirts off me to redeem against 1 item (something which was not made clear - 1 shirt to be used on 1 item, 4 shirts on 4 items). I declined the offer after all as I felt so drained and not valued. The fact that CTs direct competitors TM Lewin have had to close all their retail stores due to implications of lockdowns / COVID and still being given this energy-sapping instore experience was even more hard to believe.

The female staff member I asked for assistance on Fri afternoon couldnt be bothered to help after about 30 seconds of engagement and disappeared off to do something else. I was looking for chinos - there were hardly any regular fit on display, and only 1 pair of slim fit in my size (32 waist, 34 leg). I am reasonably trim but they were so tight, like a pair of 80s drainpipes, in the lower leg. My actual waist size is 33.5 but they were somehow still loose around the middle. Overall experience - terrible. Best advice - stick to shirts, and buy online.

Since its impossible to rate their online shopping experience heres store review. Ive been buying shirts from CT for over 10 years and not once transaction went smooth. Overpayment issues, staff is not responsive, managers never get back to you to address issues. Good quality merchandise, horrible service as many said in below reviews. Mr. Wheeler should look into the reviews and have reviews for the website experience as well. 0 to 1 star at most.

Service was not excellent but good, could be faster. Staff was busy but friendly. It is a good place to buy shirts you wear every day in the office or at work.

Beautiful clothes but terrible customer service! I was there for one hour- nobody approached me. I started trying different jackets and when finally asked for help, the sales assistant said its too late ( as they are closing soon) and just walked away! Seems some completely forgot how to do their jobs during lockdown! I guess online shopping it is then!

So sad that at a time when retail needs to do all they can to re-build customer confidence they are looking after themselves. Having been a loyal customer for the past decade we can no longer shop here as they no longer take care of us

The staff need a little training on customer service and to only deal with one customer at a time and not constantly hand you over to another member of staff. Great quality suits at astonishing prices. Will return for the attire.

It was quiet as I walked in, then within a couple of minutes it was busy. The assistants did brilliantly juggling their time between the customers and I left feeling Id been well looked after.

Unacceptable attitude towards the client at their Jermyn street shop, London.Nobody came to help us as we were looking for shoes. We spent no more than 10 min in this shop, asking to try a pair of shoes, and then the price of it. 3 different people from the shop told us that they had something else to do. What kind of impression can it let on the customer let alone like this... really not a nice experience!

I’m going to review the features within this store and then give my overall review. Starting with:Customer Service: I’ve been to a handful of CT stores around London and the customer service is always fantastic – this one is no exception. The customer service provided within this store is pretty good – it’s nothing out of the ordinary, but still worth praising nonetheless. The members of staff are quite attentive even during peak hours and are always on standby when you need help with something. My experience with the members of staff here was pretty good and hats off to them for keeping up the high standard of customer service in store and online.Clothes / Selection: As big as the store is, I found that they didn’t quite have every choice available as displayed online, but that’s to be expected within any clothes store. I was just grateful that their “ordering in process is quick and well presented.Hygiene: The hygiene within the store is pretty top notch. Everything is clean and is in its place.Lighting: Because this is a clothes store, it’s worth noting the lighting because it plays a big part in how you see yourself and how the store merchandise looks. The lighting is mediocre to be honest. I don’t understand why a suit store would want to have DIM lighting and even DARKER lighting within the changing rooms. I say this because the lighting inside the store does a disservice to the clothes because even the light shirts/suits end up being hard to determine the exact fabric colour and that can quite often lead to customers like me being dissuaded from buying – which I did.Summary:Overall, this store is pretty fantastic to be honest. They’ve pretty much got all their online selections located throughout the store both the ground and lower ground floor. Although they don’t have everything listed from their online website, the store is still worth checking out for anyone looking to buy from them.

I visited on 17/04/21 and everyone in-store was helpful & knowledgeable. There were a few items out of stock but they were able to order them for home delivery and include them in the 5 shirts for £150 deal hassle-free. I also bought two merino wool zip jumpers which are superb in terms of quality, fit, and colour.After not buying shirts for quite some time I was keen to get measured - which has not been possible for many months with the pandemic! Thanks to the nice chap who measured me I can now finally order more clothes online confident theyll be the correct size!Sure, you can find cheaper shirts elsewhere but I really believe the high quality of the clothes combined with the fantastic customer service presents excellent value. I wish I took the names of the staff so I could personally thank them in my review! Nevertheless, the ladies & gents working at CT are part of the reason why I have done business with them for years and will continue to do so.Tom

I dont really write reviews but I was quite disappointed with our first and now last visit to this store in Jermyn St. We wanted to ask a quick question, if they had a certain product in store but once we came up to a till where a member of staff was, my partner politely said to him excuse me sir...*ignored*...excuse me sir?...ignored once again. It wasnt until the third time that this member of staff sighed, lifted his head then directly stared at us. He then proceeds to lift up a piece of paper which he then gestures to and with attitude said to us Im busy at the moment, then went straight back to his computer. In an establishment like this I was utterly shocked at the response of this staff member. Its completely fine if someones busy, totally understandable, but blatantly ignoring customers when youre right in front of them then snapping back at them, when they dont take ignoring as a hint to buzz off, isnt good customer service at all. He could of just said Im sorry, Im not able to help at the moment but Im sure one of my colleagues can assist you, which all in all would of been faster in the long run. We would of understood completely and leave to find another staff member. Needless to say we immediately left the shop after that.I would suggest Hawes & Curtis across the street instead, we were there earlier on that day and had wonderful customer service from them.

I tried to contact the shop many times to have an update about a Custom Shirt but they never answer the phone. I even went to the store, the only answer I had is « we will call you back ». It has been four weeks now since I paid for the shirt and I could not take any update from anyone. I specifically said that I needed the shirt for my wedding ASAP....

Charles Tyrwhitt just relaunched their Ludgate Circle London store. Its an easy store to find your way around. I have worn Charles Tyrwhitt classic shirts for years with the brass collar stays. The shirts travel well, I can truthfully attest to this, having to do several stops in different countries. I always need to look smart and well attired, shirts of this high standard and yet highly affordable are the absolute best for me. This was their re-launch evening,customers there on the evening were given a monogrammed shirt, monogrammed while you were in the store. The founder Nick Wheeler was there to welcome everyone to the evening with some interesting Brazilian cocktails and, pleasing jazz to get the mood just right. Of course Charles Tyrwhitt are not just famous for shirts but, suits off the peg, bespoke quality suits, shoes, accessories, ties, belts etc.I can only say that, I am highly satisfied customer and happy to give my recommendation and endorsement to such a quality range of productsFred Finn Guinness world records holder of 718 flights in Concorde

I am seriously FED UP with this company even though I’ve been a client for years this is the 2ND TIME, this happens!!!!I keep having to go into store as for some reason now they don’t keep track of your last orders due to data protection, great but then we have to keep coming in and getting our measurements done every time?!!Anyways… that’s another story all together.Reason why I’m FED UP, I went into the store again on Jermyn Street, got my measurements done AGAIN and then asked them to deliver it to my my home address.A week goes by and NO contact from them whatsoever, I then chase to find out what’s happening?! When I got in touch, I was then told it was in store ready (Yet they didn’t call me?!) mentioned how they would send it as soon as possible to my address. So I thought ok fine.Well guess what.. another week and yet NO communication yet AGAIN!! To then chase them and repeat myself to another member of staff and explain the full story AGAIN as to what has happened!I am now waiting to hear back and see where this suit is of mine!!Customer service is SHOCKING!!Do not rely on amended suits arriving to you on time or as promised when you need it for such an important event like a wedding in my case and I’m out of the city in a few days!!Beyond stressed and FED UP with Charles Tyrwitt and their POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.Time to move on and find a reliable company who genuinely care about their clients.

Ordered and measured a made-to-order trousers in late May.Until today, almost 6 weeks, still absolutely no update at all.Call the store hotline every day, no one answers.I called this number for almost 38 times, no one answers.what is the different from this comparing with internet scam, get your money and nothing delivered for 6 weeks and be completely irresponsive.Absolutely the worst.

Olivia and Sean are stars! I wanted some shirts quickly so rang the store. Olivia ordered them on Monday, Sean took them to the post office on Tuesday, and they arrived on Wednesday. Both Olivia and Sean were charming, helpful and efficient, a credit to CT!

Impossible to get any sort of help with anything. Stood at the alterations section for 30 minutes trying to get help to merely pick up an order.

Made in China, poor quality cashmere, zip not smooth. Nice colour but the jumpers quality was simply not worth the price. Would want more transparency on the cashmere sourcing and the manufacturing before purchasing again. Would prefer none of the supply chain was linked to China given that most of Chinese cashmere comes from Xinjiang where forced labour is commonplace.

Ive used Charles Tyrwhitt many times and have got great quality and great value.Despite the number of customers in the store I was served quickly and directed to the collection desk, served by a pleasant member of staff and my order was correct.Was only there a few minutes and was very happy with my experience (and very happy with the knitwear I purchased).Excellent store standards and product. If presentation is most important, then you can rely heavily on the quality of Charles Tyrwhitt. That includes off the peg quality suits as well as custom made, a fine range of beautiful materials with accessories of your choice buttons, button holes, ties of all descriptions silk, wool etc, and superior English made shoes all leather. The store has brilliant helpful staff headed up by James Allen the general manager, a very polite young man with a Japanese name, Koni and Mark are the people that looked after me very well.I can safely say I am truly delighted with the quality of service and products I have received. They make you look really well dressed.I can highly recommend Charles Tyrwhitt.

We ordered suits for our sons wedding from Charles Tyrwhitt, Jermyn St recently.We met Sherman who helped us select suits that we could afford and liked and were suitable for the occasion. On that day suit of my size wasnt available and Sherman went off to another shop and got the correct sized suit.The suits had to slightly altered for each of us and this was done with patience and care. At no point were we made to feel pressured to buy.Today, I went to collect the suit and having collected the suit and come home I realised that a little more alteration was required.It was very close to the time the shop was closing and I called the shop. The line was busy so I left a message.I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call back 10 minutes after closing time and my inquiry was attended to without delay.Having had this full experience of very good customer care I will recommend Charles Tyrwhitt as a place that looks after its customers.

Outstanding service at short notice. I was rocking a t-shirt when caught out with a last minute dinner reservation at a restaurant with a dress code requiring a collared shirt. I can’t think of a better street - Jermyn - in the world to be found in such a situation, having said this I was expertly served by Tim who had me measured, fitted and even had the shirt ironed so it could be worn immediately. This all within 25 minutes of entering your store. Well played.

Great shirts, good price etc. But what CT has the best, is their customer service. We bought 4 shirts and altered the length of the arms, however it was adjusted tad shorter. Went to return the shirts after almost 20 days as we were away, the supervisor of the store understood the problem and refunded money without any questions. That really makes a great customer experience. I bought few more shirts and will continue to buy from CT. Thank you, really appreciated.

Great service. I bought my wedding suit here, they offered me free tailoring and shipment overseas. The shop assistant Santiago was very professional and had a great sense of humour. I recommend everyone to try CT shirts - great value for money.

Really disappointed - my partner bought a suit there and was convinced to pay a good amount of extra money to do a tailored fitting, but it took 4 visits with multiple poor alterations to finally get some sort of reasonable fit. And now a week later, weve discovered (in the middle of attending a wedding) that the suit trousers werent even hemmed as they fell out completely! How does that even happen?! Very disappointed with the customer service and the tailoring job, still havent heard back on when his trousers can be fixed.

The staff generally are great, and will even measure you up to get you the best fit. This brand is well renowned for their excellent shirts for fit, design and fabric - for good reason too. The products are very good quality, for a fairly reasonable price tag (slightly higher than the high street) but really great clothes. The décor is smart, sophisticated and colourful - though a bit on the small side. It can get crowded in here, but Id urge you to persevere. The service is quick though friendly, they even come to check up on how youre getting onId highly recommend this store or their Jermyn street shop for service and range of products.

I deliver mens suits to this place every week, the frequency shows how nice the suits are and how quickly they sell. The staff are all nice people. So why not try them out.

Ordered 4 shirts to be collected here well over 3 weeks ago. Notified the store within a few days that I couldnt collect. I was assured the shirts would be returned to warehouse and refund process triggered. Contacted customer service today for update on refund, the store has not returned the items and my refund will be further delayed. Would not use this store or company again.

I had never shopped at Charles Tyrwhitt before, but they made a life-long devotee of me this week. I arrived at the store early one morning, after travelling in from abroad. I had less than an hour to get dressed up for an important interview. The service I got, even at short notice and even with little time to spare was nothing short of incredible. My attendant (Hugh) was knowledgeable, calm, encouraging - offering direction but no pressure. I left with a high-quality, reasonably priced outfit with no stress at all. To top it all off, I even got a money off voucher for my next visit!

A disabled customer who purchases shirts mail order. I am a double cuff link man. And you will not beat these shirts. Since buying my first 4 shirts about 5 years back, I have not bought shirts anywhere else. Egyptian cotton..my favourite. My undertaker knows what shirt I want to leave this world to meet my Creator.

Just a terrible experience. So difficult to get any assistance. When I finally got the attention of some staff they all turn out to be casuals with no experience or knowledge. Range in-store is lacking compared to online. Will avoid ever coming to this store again. Ended up at a competing retailer on Jermyn St that offered comparable prices and excellent customer service.

Outstanding service and range. Their shirts are excellent but I question the quality of their other clothes. I’ve bought two coast from here that have lasted 18 months as well as a few jumpers which disintegrate after 12 washes....still my go-to store for just about anything

Staff is everything but helpful. They just do not have time to look after the customer and do not have experience at all regarding clothing. When I asked for not a non-iron shirt they looked at me like an idiot - thats the latest trend, sir!. Maybe it is the trend but I do not want to wear chemically enhanced shirt. Prices are fine but I recommend to take stroll down the Jermyn Street and you will find other stores which offer same quality for better price.

Very good service! The suit I wanted was not available at the store, so they ordered from their warehouse (on Saturday), and it was available for me to try it the next day (Sunday)! I got 3 different sales staff helping me in the 3 visits I made to the store, all very kind and understanding what I needed as a customer! Also a fair price for the quality.

Ive hardly gotten shirts from any other shop since I discovered Charles Tyrwhitt. Their shirts are quality. I attended this particular branch for the first time yesterday. It was busy and bustling even at 6pm. However, I received one of the fastest and complimentary service ever. I highly recommend this store for its Quality and Good Customer Service.

Staff were helpful but I went to the store as I thought it would have what I wanted I am average sized and wanted a standard fit....but it was full of slim fit....I ended up ordering directly from them online and saving £40 from the special buy four shirt price advertised in store. I only buy their shirts but from third parties....and was so disappointed at the stock in the actual store after going out of my way to visit....but the fact that I only buy their shirts should speak volumes about the product.

Funny enough, I got to know about this London shop through a catalogue in a German magazine. I was about to throw away all the ads that came with the issue, and then read that this brand is based in London. As the offers looked good, I decided to check out their main store.Charles Tyrwhitt in Jermyn Street has a broad selection of shirts, in different styles and sizes. The shop is clearly structured and it is easy to find what you need. I was not sure about the arm length, so asked one of the staff if he could help. He measured my arm and then brought some extra slim fit, slim fit and classic fit shirts to try on, so I could see which style and size I need. Great customer service.I wanted to take advantage of their special offer for four shirts, so I was also looking for another casual shirt. Unfortunately they did not have my size on display. After I waited a for few minutes while a very friendly and cute store attendant checked if they have it in store somewhere, she explained that they currently do not have my size in this branch, but they would send it to me without any costs. So I bought it without trying it on and received the mail order item two days later.Besides the very good service at the Charles Tyrwhitt shop in Jermyn Street, I am also very happy with the quality of the shirts. They are quite nice to wear and low-maintenance. I will definitely go there again when I am looking for new shirts.

Some of the staff are helpful, but the lady at the counter was unfriendly and unhelpful. I was told that a specific line of shirts was not available in extra slim fit, and could therefore not be ordered. However, I later found it in the web shop and then just ordered it from there.

The flagship store. But be warned they do not keep smaller sizes in stock. If you are 6 foot tall the you will be fine. But trousers of 30 or 32 inside leg. Forget it. Also smaller shirts. Why? Its stock policy is Barney. I was recommended by manager to call a day before a visit so the could get stock in to try on. So not great service. You have been warned!

I’ve been a fan and customer of Charles Tyrwhitt for many years now. However, today the service, or lack thereof, was appalling. It seemed that the staff were not trained on new arrivals and once I’d found something I wanted to purchase, no one seemed bothered about serving me despite multiple people behind the till point. Disappointing. Not how the brand or branch used to be run.

Once you wear a Charles Tyrwhitt shirt you wont want to wear another brand. Their shirts are quality and they are very comfortable.

Great company but slightly poor for a flagship store. Nowhere to sit down in the changing rooms - they should realise when trying on shirts you have to try them sitting down. Also very hot in the changing rooms. Mix of staff - some very helpful but some not so.

Ye olde faithful. Annoying their shirts arent a bit longer as would get the whole lot from there if so. Nice ties. Good service too

There is nothing wrong with the shirts and their website is good. However it was quite obvious from a visit to the shop on Jermyn Street that the their sales staff are heavily commission based. The guy I was dealing with was trying to sell me a totally ill fitting shirt just to get his incentive. TREAT THE STORES WITH CAUTION!

Great suits but the service is really slow as far my experience goes
