Cutest market in DC! Staff is also so friendly. Highly recommend trying their hot sandwiches
Great staff, variety and cleanliness, if you live near here, do not miss this beautiful little store!
Great selection of interesting foods and beverages. Friendly staff
We are so fortunate to have this gem of a market in our neighborhood!
Wow! We bought the cheese and charcuterie platter for Christmas Eve! Lots of little surprises from flavored honey to raisin jam. We looooved all of the meats and cheeses. They made the platter affordable. They were so kind to deliver on Christmas Eve and with such a friendly and helpful attitude. We plan to shop at the market for other groceries.
I have been going to Each Peach and their sister cafe (Pear Plum) since I moved to DC several years ago. It is my favorite local grocery store. They are such a staple in the Mount Pleasant/Columbia Heights neighborhoods. They’ve got a great variety of products for such a small shop, and their sandwich counter is so good!During this incredibly stressful time - they have really gone above and beyond to help the community and their customers have safe access to awesome, local food. Their staff is always so kind and helpful, and I’ve really appreciated their friendly attitudes even during their busiest times.I have been to so many events at the cafe, and love how the two owners go out of their way to showcase local vendors. Their curbside pickup has been a total lifesaver in the past couple of weeks, keep up the good work!
The people are rude and disrespectful. And they have roaches when I walk in and I spotted.
Gentrification market with good but expensive products and good sandwiches.
Ah Each Peach just makes me smile every time I go! Been going regularly for a while now - get all of my cheese there, yum yum yum!! (Seriously though, how can you have so many good cheeses in one place and NOT buy lots of them?)Just wanted to give them a big socially-distanced high-five for managing to stay open during this impossible time whilst respecting the difficult rules so exactly. I went there late last week, queued for ~15mins, then got everything I needed super quickly, and as usual staff were helpful and amazing. Local stores like these are the ones we should be supporting, especially during times like these. Thanks for being awesome guys!!
Great local market for both specialty items and pantry staples. The store is small, but well stocked and is a perfect place to build a COVID-friendly picnic basket for a socially distanced date!
*COVID REVIEW*This little market has one of basically anything youd want (including some fun special items like saffron), and not surprising to places like this one the items are quite marked up and so may not be accessible to folks looking to do their weeks worth of shopping. From what I could tell they carry produce from local farms which is a nice option for people in the neighborhood who cant get to the farmers markets on the weekend. They also have a deli for cold cuts and a cheese bar, plus lots of beer and wine options from DMV breweries and wineries.During the pandemic they seem to allow no more than 2 people inside at a time, which makes sense given the size. I wish they made this obvious, as several people including myself tried to enter and were immediately sent outside. Im not upset that I was asked to go outside at all, but they whoever was managing the crowd was clearly sick of having to ask people to go outside and it seems like they could solve that easily with a more clear sign (the one they had was knocked over when I got there and said nothing about the max people).
Absolutely LOVE this shop! Its been my go-to for specialty products and their homemade dips, as well as fresh, local produce for YEARS, but Ive never taken the time to write a review, because life.I just want to give them a big shout-out because theyre really going the extra mile during this lockdown to make sure customers feel safe and protected when going to the shop. Ive been using curbside pick-up mostly - which is FAB! - but went into the store the other day (had to queue, but wasnt that long and we all social distanced) and they were letting one customer in at a time. It was such a lovely experience to have the shop to myself (although I made sure to be super fast and efficient, because there were people lined up outside who also needed their olive oil and flour). Thanks Each Peach Team - you da best. xx
A true gem of Mount Pleasant. A bit on the high side price-wise, but the quality of produce and the carefully sourced products more than justify the extra cost. Be sure to try a sandwich from the deli section in the back, the bread is delicious and the menu isnt a typical boring mishmash of two meats and a cheese. Buying local has never been easier nor more convenient.
Not bad products its good. I used to purchase some groceries items when it first opened. Until one day they made my mom and I feel uncomfortable just because we are not from the Caucasian race. Theyre only nice too there own.
Great organic produce, soups/stew, sandwiches, & prepared foods. Interesting & delicious grocery items. A little pricey but lots of good stuff. Really good customer service. Worth a visit.
I want to love this place, I really do. Its adorable, its convenient, the people inside are nice. I just cant seem to ever find what I want in there produce-wise. Ive never tried the sandwiches but Ive heard theyre great, and their dry goods are surprisingly well stocked. I would like to see a few more local gift options for when I need to give someone a house warming trinket or something small but DC-focused last minute.
I went to Each Peach on 5/9/20Let me just begin by saying that I cant even recall when I was treated so rude at a store, let alone a neighborhood store. The sign by the cashier said, Dont touch if you are not going to buy it! I shouldve snapped a picture of it. Seriously. What happened to the tone? A live person might snap at you due to stress or their own issues, but when you put a sign, you have time to think about the language youre going to use.Speaking of snapping. The whole experience was just so unpleasant that it left me with a pit in my stomach.Theres a line to get inside, its how it is now, we all get it. When I joined the line, there were only 6 people in front of me, and I waited about 25-30 minutes to get in. The cashier, an Asian girl (Im using this to identify the person, nothing else. Im Asian myself.) was so extremely rude to me and then to the next customer, that it just left me speechless and unprepared to address it on the spot. We were trying to be considerate and quick and not hold the line of people still waiting outside. When I pointed out that the item she just ran costs almost twice of what the price tag says, she just quickly looked at the label in the fridge and said, its probably sold out, do you want it? I bought it, because I felt bad. The total time I spent inside the store was 5 minutes. While I was looking at things at the store, she was using very short phrases like, Are you done? in a very unpleasant tone. And when the next customer came in, she basically told me to leave. Its one customer at at time! The TONE!!!She used the words please and thank you exactly ZERO times, while just rushing customers with her unfriendly attitude. Believe me, I know the difference between neutral, polite and unfriendly. No consideration for the fact that people spent a long time to get to this store to give them business.Since when did we start treating customers like that? Especially when the prices at Each Peach for ALL items, including the very ordinary (not gourmet or artisanal) are at least twice as high. I heard some other customer say, this store is doing price gouging in this situation. It was my first time there, I waited in line for a long time, I was determined to check it out and support the local shop. Its not like therere no other stores to buy food, of course I prefer to walk a mile to Trader Joes where theres always a friendly and warm atmosphere, and that transfers to customers. These are difficult times, and essential workers are stressed out, and so are we.We are all in this together, and well pull through! Its easier to do if we treat each other with respect. The attitude and prices at Each Peach dont reflect that.
TWICE in the last 4 days ive walked into this store and twice I have been spoken to by staff with a snooty attitude while ive observed them be nice to white people, YEAH I SAID IT. They are lucky we are going through a pandemic and their business seems to be doing well. I however, am not giving them one more cent. Aside from their arrogant attitude, it definitely feels like they are price gouging. For a small pie enough for one person they are charging $12.00. i would much rather give my money to igourmet.com or drive to Rodmans on Wisconsin who does circles around them when it comes to service, price and selection.
I love this little market. I always end up spending more than I planned, but Im very glad to have it as an option for produce because Giants is so hit or miss. All of their prepared foods are excellent and they stock really good local dairy products.
Each Peace is a small, good looking market catering to the urban professional who cares to buy local and organic foods. Its one small room on Mt Pleasant Street just three blocks from the Columbia Heights Metro. Each Peach Market sells anything from local chocolate to high quality artisan coffee and everything in between including produce, canned goods, etc. They also serve as a pick up spot for a local CSA. Its a little pricey compared to nearby Giant or Safeway, but if you live close, its a fun place to visit.
Excellent selection! Mostly locally sourced food and organic produce. The prepared meal of the week was delicious (not obvious at first, but lots of prepared food in the refrigerated cases). I was traveling alone for a quick weekend trip and the market had such an amazing variety that I didnt need to rely on restaurants for meals.
Never been here before there must be some kind of mistake
Lo ve it
Great little shop. I love the ladies there, they provided us with amazing food for a week long shopping event. Healthy options, yummy cheeses and spreads. Loved it
Lovely little neighborhood market with lots of high end and organic products, including great meats from stachkowskis. Outstanding sandwiches!
Really Bad Customer Service. You really do bother them by ordering. And they dont care at all if you think so. Entirely pretentious. Dont Bother
Good service and great quality of their produce. Also their sandwiches are amazing
Love the prepared foods, locally sourced produce and meats, and organic dairy products. And they carry my favorite Whisked pies and cookies! Great to have this in our neighborhood.
Each Peach Market is one of my favorite groceries, usually my first and only stop, I could literally get my groceries for under 90 dollars.
Lots of great choices, the sandwiches are my favorite. Everything is fresh and the staff is super helpful. My personal favorites are pastries on the weekend and the blue cheese dip.
Definitely on the fancy side, but a great resource for fresh produce, hard to find dry goods, etc. The also make yummy sandwiches, I especially like the Rock Creek Pork.
Great local grocery. I used to pick up my weekly CSA from here and come here to regularly to pick up fresh bread, local foods and great deli section. If you follow then on Instagram, youll find out when they have free tastings! Highly recommend if you are in the area.
Each Peach is a neighborhood gem.Fresh, local produce and meat. Locally sourced pantry items and baked goods. Local dairy. House made dips, spreads, pastas, and soup. Excellent deli sandwiches and meats. Fresh baguettes and other breads. Also a delivery location for a local CSA. They do special platters and orders for holidays (heirloom breed turkeys, special order roasts, charcuterie, and cheese boards.
Bring back the herbed labneh dip! 😄
One of my favorite places in Mt. Pleasant! I dont know what I would do without Each Peach!!
It’s pretty nice. The selection is enjoyable to shop for.
Best bagels and baguettes in the Mt. Pleasant / Columbia Heights area
Spendy, snug and packed full of high end artisanal food stuffs. The staff is solid, they’ve got reasonably priced but kinda small sandwiches and they offer the best baguette in town courtesy of the Baked Joint folks down on K st. A great addition to mount pleasant.
Fresh wholesome stuff. We shop here almost daily. Recommended!
So so good, always stop by when Im in town
Its really great having a lovely owned little shop in this neighborhood.
Nice small market with friendly staff. A bit pricey
Great selection for a little market. A little pricy.
Best sandwiches I’ve tried in DC!
All basic food groups can be obtained from this compact organic grocer.
All products are the highest quality. Coffees, ice creams and sandwiches are especially good.
Great little market serving locally sourced produce and prepared foods.
I like their food. Over-priced - but you expect that. However, recently, Ive noticed that there is a weird, dismissive attitude towards customers. Nothing like the pleasant way it used to be when it first opened. For example, when I ordered a sandwich - the deli-counter person seemed like asking her to make a sandwhich was a burden. Ok. She then made the sandwhich (incorrectly) and then just sort of yelled when it was done. When I got to the cash register, it he was equally unpleased to have to me up.I only write this because I used to love going in there. This weird change in customer service vibe is not an isolated incidedent and has happened multiple times. Sadly, I wont be going there anymore.
Sandwich was good, but paid for extra meat and still was very small portion size.
Great donuts on the weekends. Otherwise a small organic grocery with prices reflective of a gentrified Mt. Pleasant
Nicely curated selection of wine, beer, and meat products.
The best good management clean place
Great fresh bread. Cheese, pasta, other great gourmet stuff.
Great for a quick stop in the neighborhood.
Very good groceries and Fruits and dairy products
Just browsed but it looked delightfulNext time Ill shop
Great organic grocery selection. Kinda expensive but worth it.They also make sandwiches, and they are awesome.
Mt. Pleasant has been needing such a high-quality market for years. No need to cross the park.
Little market in Mt pleasant neighborhood in DC. Lots of goodies, and their sandwices are amazing
Hipster store that winds up just being meh. Lots of expensive, fancier versions of stuff youd find in grocery store, but its all random enough that you could never actually take a shopping list here to go pick up things. The sandwiches in the back are ok, but nothing special.
Cool local neighborhood spot for organic and farm to table grocery
Wide range of stuff to choose from ... great staff
My fav store in my neighborhood - best produce, cheese, bread, etc.
Cozy market with good produce and baked goods
Fooded so fresh
Great neighborhood store with awesome sandwiches
Awesome food, like in Europe.
My favorite neighborhood market.
Okay
Great environment,
Expensive.
Not friendly to minorities
Bought a peach, yum
The food is good and fast and excellent
