This Giant Food Store is pretty big and they offer a variety of different items. The prices are somewhat reasonable. The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. This location was clean and offers a convenient parking garage across the street with a 2 hours validated parking stamped from Giant Food Store.

Very wide selection in all areas! Fruits and vegetables are good transparent wide roads convenient shopping even with a shopping cart! There is a separate international shopping cart line as well as other nations food drink spice. What I was looking for was everything I found in good quality. I will be a returning customer.

A bit overpriced for many products and some products are almost always out of stock, but the store is almost always clean and organized. The workers are extremely helpful and kind, and when they have a sale, it’s worth one’s while to catch it.Two things: why do they place the newspapers towards the exit—AFTER one has already checked out? That means one has to go back through the queue again.And can Giant ask people to stop standing outside begging, every single day? It’s a huge turnoff. Don’t merely say “no begging”, but also, connect them with social services. There’s literally a Bread for the World right down the street, less than 3 minutes away. There’s NO need to beg for food in DC, especially, not one block away from a free food charity.

I always get frustrated at this Giant, especially by the technology. Todays visit was no exception. Walking in the front door, there were only two carts left. Thats because they are always in the cart corrals in the garages, or worse yet, scattered all around the neighborhood. In the store, almost every aisle has a big rolling cart used by the store employees who restock the shelves. Theyre always in the way and most of the time unattended. In the produce area, only one of the scales that prints the price tags were working. After shopping I approached the checkout area where an employee noticed that I had a handheld self scanning device. He motioned me to a lane attended by a cashier because he said theyve been having issues lately and he wanted to see if the scanners were working at the moment. After paying, I went to the parking scanner to get my ticket validated. A sign on the scanner said Dont scan. Gate is open. More tech problems? Well, the gate was certainly open on the upper level garage, but not on the lower level where I parked. I drove around the garage hoping there was a way to get to the upper level but there wasnt. So, at the gate I pressed the assistance button. It rang and rang for like two minutes before someone answered. Meanwhile, cars behind me were honking their horns as if I didnt know what I was doing. Finally, when someone answered, it sounded as though I just awoke someone from the dead. After the gate finally opened, I was free of my horrible experience. To be fair, the parking garage is run by Colonial Parking and not Giant, but it seems these two entities together always make for a terrible experience.

Their store, which is still fully stocked, has a wide range of products. The whole crew was polite and welcoming. In comparison to other markets in the world, they had a reasonably priced and equivalent bid. Fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as beef, have been added to the menu. Its in a lovely setting thats been well-kept. Its been an incredible trip.

Asked produce guy are these fruits good... he was like yes... cool picked up two things of oranges l, feels something mushy on my hands its the oranges that were bad... and ugh smelled... shouldve know better way to many nats.... the shelves were well stocked. And it was open til midnight..

What a surprise! I thought I was in a Harris Teeter or the Georgetown Safeway, only nicer. And the prices were still Giant. One of the nicest Supermarkets I have visited in DC.

Everything that one will wish to have is here. That too fresh, of more variety and with good behaviours.

Its convenient to get to walking distance. I like how they have things set up. Courteous staff at the store. The store is clean.

The staff members are very friendly and hardworking, particularly one gentleman who helps with the self checkout line. He’s very professional and courteous, and ensures that the check out line runs smoothly. In general, the store is well organized. Thanks to all the wonderful staff who make everything possible

It is my local giant its ok. They need to monitor the seafood section better. On two occasions I purchased seafood and discovered once I got home it was smelling. Realized they tried to cover up the smell with a lot of seasoning.

Solid store filled with almost everything youll need. Cleanliness is on point and prices arent terrible. Maybe I just happened to hit up the store at the wrong time but I will say the pricing on the deli meats/cheeses were crazy high.Great place though to stop in and grab all your day to days.

Convenient, courteous and professional.

I understand vaccines are very important but if you can’t deliver vaccines and help people get their prescriptions at your pharmacy you should just close your pharmacy when you’re too busy. Took me 3 days and 8 phone calls to get a prescription transferred to a different pharmacy because they didnt have it in stock (and they werent going to get it for 4 days).

Butcher told me their smallest cut of pork shoulder is 8 lbs. No other options...

Great came for covd shot, was the first one in line. Naturally had to shop. Only thing was metro access wasnt coming for at least hour and a half.

Great Grocery Store, I come here all the time. I just have one piece of advice, y’all are out of Red Powerade Zero a lot. I think you need to order more Red Powerade Zero.

I love to shop at Giant foods look great. Prices dont match on shevels with prices on registers. It can be an issue.

Had bad experience. Cashier tried to tell me how to adjust my mask because he felt he might get sick and left his post. I tried to get his name but he refused (wouldnt even show me his name tag). Description is he had locks and glasses. Went to another cashier and she didnt see any problem. If the cashiers feel that unsafe, they need another position thats not around people, or else theyre not fit for the job.

There were no rotisserie chickens, Out of Coconut ice creams and non dairy ice cream .Not a good experience

Went to get the Coronavirus vaccine at the Giant pharmacy. Worked out very well. Pleased with the service and the staff!

They had everything I wanted and I was able to get both of my vaccination there

Not the best Giant. Large store, but too often out-of-stock, or completely missing some basic items you can find at other nearby stores. Annoying pricing (buy 1 get 1, etc.). Crates often piled in the aisles.

Good store. Usually well stocked. friendly staff. I always see how much I save by scanning my card at the end and watching the total drop away.

Better than average selection. Great produce. Get there before rush hour for best selection of frozen fruits or cleaning supplies/TP. Been slim after 5pm for the last couple of months.

Great store! I think this is the 1st time Ive ever been in a Giant Food store! Im from Greensboro NC we have Foodlions which is what Giants reminds me of just Giants is Bigger!

This Giant is located on. Block of condos/apartments and can thus be a bit crazy at times. (5-7) Otherwise its a good store. Good produce is important to me and theirs is largely very good. Prices if you have a Giant card are also competitive. Recommended.

Here are a lot of Giant Food stores in America. This is one of the best. All staff is happy and pleasant to go and see every week. Groceries are always there and the staff help make it a little more special when we go. Its because of them that we make this one of our favorites. Anytime during the week you go, you will see smiley faces. They are a 5 star store.

Unfortunately this location has Credir Card Skimmers on their self checkout machines. My credit card that I only use for groceries at this O street location & Columbia Heights location, was compromised and used for online purchases. I will only use cash & employee checkouts now.

Had the worst experience at this Giant locationSo there’s this employee that works there every time is yelling telling everyone to put the shopping carts in a certain spot and making feel everyone so uncomfortableHe works during the morning and sometimes in the afternoon, Hoping corporate See my complaint and do something about it ..! Also this lady that is security of that specific Giant location is so rude and unprofessional ( I don’t know why she’s a security officer there if she does not do her job )I will never come back to this GIANT location they have so many untrained employees there’sThere’s so many people that they will love to work with customer service not people that only care about the time they have to go home

Great! Clean, great selection, everything looks fresh. Favorite grocery store and Ive only been once. Just moved to DuPont area, liked Giant over by H Street, and Im happy to walk 25 minutes or take a 15 minute bus for Giant. Specifically, THIS Giant!!

Upon my visit to the O street Giant Food store. I was able to find what I needed at very reasonable price. Love the way store is laid out. They have real good bargains on some selected items. Always stock and up to date on most items. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I walked in, got a few item and did express checkout with the assistance of one of the worker whom was very helpful. Everything was great.

For me, Giant has a great selection of food and beverages, especially beersI love the cafe they have. I can rest, watch TV and even warm up food with their microwave.

If youve been to any other Giant, you know what to expect with this location. They carry the usual grocery store suspects from produce to frozen food to greeting cards. The differences in this Shaw located Giant is that its in a historic brick building that is stunning. Inside, they have several areas for grab-n-go food from pizza to sushi.

Staff is great, shelves almost always fully stocked, store itself is large and spacious. Produce is fresh and plentiful & theres a large selection of beer and wine (even offered on tap while you shop!). Pharmacy folks are absolutely fantastic. Free parking! So happy to have it as my neighborhood store.

Homeless are sitting inside of store sleeping watching TV. Wife didn’t feel comfortable coming alone and couldn’t sit down and eat. So we left. Unfortunate Bc it is such a nice store.

The wine selection is fantastic. You can find bottles ranging from the single digits all the way into the hundred dollar price range and dating back to 2010. The gourmet cheese section is also great. Produce is better than Safeway and so is the met department. What is not so good is the employees and their attitudes. Management is friendly but some of the employees are some of the most disrespectful I have come across in local businesses. On numerous occasions employees have refused to help customers. I have experienced this myself. Employees seem unhappy and seldom smile. How sad. The old Giant store was better as far as employee friendliness. I guess some of the good ones have moved on now.
