Dr. Williams is professional, helpful and puts you at ease. My son and I have been going to him for 15 years and we have always been treated well by Dr. Jack and his staff. We have had three surgeries (sinus and tonsillectomies) between us, countless appointments and could not have found a better person or office to help us to feel better.
Im sorry to see that other people have had negative experiences here. I saw Dr. Williams and had a very pleasant experience. I did have a bit of a wait, which was surprising for 2:00pm on a Tuesday afternoon, but once Dr. Williams assistant came in, I was out of the office in about 20 minutes. Both Dr. Williams and his assistant were very nice and Dr. Williams diagnosed me and prescribed a treatment in less than five minutes. I ended up needing to follow up with the office after hours, and was able to immediately connect with the on-call doctor over the phone.
The level of incompetence of this office is truly astounding. They waited three days to file the information I needed to get an MRI with my insurer. They then apparently did not send the right information and no one has returned my calls when I tried to find out what was going on.
Beware that you will be charged several hundred dollars (in addition to the cost of the visit) for a doctor here to use a scope to look in your nose/throat, which is something that one would think would be included in a visit at an ear, nose and throat doctor since theres no other way for them to look in there. You also will not be told that you will be charged for this - They will just do it and act like its a normal part of a visit, and then itll show up on your insurance. Additionally, if you try to call them to follow up about anything, they wont call you back for days. I wont be returning.
Terrible office staff. I waited in the cramped hot hallway without any chairs for 15 mins outside the waiting room while the staff finished their lunch hour. I was with 6 other older adults awkwardly standing there but the door was locked and we were told to wait outside. When the office staff finally opened the door at exactly 1pm there was no recognition or thanking us for waiting. Just rude.
I showed up 15 min before my appointment so I could be taken right at 8:50. At 9:30 no one had seen me yet. I had to leave because I couldn’t miss that much work. The office made me pay in advance and then they didn’t know how to refund me my money at the front desk. I had to call some off site billing facility and they didn’t answer the phone. I am still waiting to hear back and to get a refund.
This has been the WORST experience ever! I saw dr. Jack Williams Friday who cauterized a broken blood vessel in my nose. The moron did not use local anesthesia, so needless to say I was in pain during the procedure. Quite honestly I thought the doctor was drunk. After I was told by the same moron that in an hour Ill be fine, I left the office. Not the case. Pain was so harsh I could not sleep. Called their on- call doctor who just said take Tylenol and that she could not give pain medication, after I had not slept for days and the pain was all over my head to the point of crying. My regular doctor called in a pain med and things went back to normal. Never again will I go to their offices.
I would agree that Dr Earl is fantastic! She is available and personable. I suffer from a chronic sinus condition where I never know if what Im facing is a minor attack or something life threatening. She helps me to see that my case is not within the realm of normal but treatable. Could not rate her higher.
I had an appointment with Dr. Dettleback several weeks ago and he prescribed sleep study for me. He said someone from the sleep center (I believe the Washington Hospital Sleep center) would call me to schedule an appointment, but they never did. Since then, I have tried contacting the Feldman ENT office several times to follow up, I keep getting transferred, have left multiple messages, and havent received a response back. They cant even look up my records to see what hospital he sent my prescription to. The doctor was great but the office staff is so incredibly incompetent. I guess Im going to have to find a new ENT. What a waste of time and money.
Ive been going here for years. Drs. Earl, Williams, Shen, and Mesick are all experts with good bedside manner. The allergy staff workers are friendly and very detail oriented. (19th St location)
Dr. Shen is fantastic.
On ZOC doc there are all these 5 star ratings and rave reviews. I knew this wasnt the first time these people did this. I showed up on time for an appointmsnt yesterday and was told because I didnt get there 20 minutes early to complete paperwork that the doctor (not the staff) marked me as a no show. I only came out in the cold for this appointmwnt. I am sick and was really looking forward to a diagnosis and treatment so I could start feeling better. I was so confused that I walked out and walked back in and asked am I still within my window of time to be seen and was told yes you are, so Im not late no you are not. I say Im a new patient why cant i see the doctor? The office manager said the doctor made the decision to mark you as a no show. I said very loud the DOCTOR did that? I was shocked. Unbelievable. I stood there really upset that I had to leave this office still sick go back home and still worry about what may be wrong. As the office mamager tried to schedule another appointment and told me he didnt have anything until the 8th of January I said ok and walked out. Ill never go back. My allerigist raved about how great this man is and how empathetic he is. Hes the pits to treat people this way. I believe he picks and chooses. I wanted to blame the staff people alwaya blame the staff but it was the doctor this time.
I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Williams on Zocdoc and it was cancelled with no reason or phone call - just an automated cancellation the following day. Minutes later I got an email from the Feldman Group to fill out registration online. I called them and left a voicemail to find out if my appointment was in fact cancelled and no one returned my call. I called again the following day and finally found out it was cancelled, though the receptionist wouldnt explain why. We rescheduled my appointment for the following Friday. About an hour after that I got another call saying that my new appointment needed to get cancelled and that Dr. Williams wont accept new patients on a Friday. It seems that they should have known that beforehand (esp before I was able to book my original appointment as a new patient) if that was in fact his policy. I came to google and now am reading the reviews about this place (should have started here, but went off another Drs Recommendation) and am choosing to go elsewhere. It seems they have bad practices in cancelling appointments, overcharging, etc. Just a word of caution for those looking to schedule a new ENT appointment.
Horrible! First off, Dr. Dettlebachs medical assistant was extremely slow in getting my prior authorization issue resolved. I had to call several times before anything happend. Secondly, AND WORST, I spoke to a woman named Natalie regarding a billing question and she was one of the most arrogant and difficult people Ive ever spoken with. As a patient who received an unexpected bill for something I thought was not even a formal procedure, her whole attitude was simply that it shouldnt have been a surprise and youre lucky your insurance paid the bulk of it. However, Im still paying the $100+ co-payment. I still cant believe how people can deliberately exercise such lack of empathy when talking to patients. She was CONSISTENTLY choosing to beat around the bush and avoid my primary concern, which was communication about the procedure. When you behave in such a manner, you create such a rift that does none of the people involved any good. A more intelligent and wise person would have practiced better reasoning and taken their ego out of the question. What a difficult, arrogant individual. I will never be coming here again even though I thought Dr. Dettlebach was a very good doctor.
Feldman ENT canceled my appointment minutes before I showed up, with the rationale that there was such a large gap between the last appointment and my own, the doctor went home and they closed the office.
Nice doctors
