It would be more accurate to refer to Zachys DC as a work in progress for now rather than a site designed to provide customer service and pick-up online orders. I placed an order about two weeks ago online, received an email confirming the order, and received another e-mail informing me that the wines were ready for pick up. I was coming in from out of town and had some time on Saturday to pick up the wines. I was assured twice in phone conversations the day before (Friday) with employees at Zachys DC that I could pick up the wines on Saturday, because even though the site was not officially open, someone would be there to provide customer service. I was even told to park in front of the warehouse and disregard the no parking and reserved parking signs. However when I arrived Saturday afternoon between 1;30 and 2:00 pm, no one answered the door bell, nor the telephone, (which after several rings connects you to the store in NY- see below). After calling for a third time I finally spoke to a David in the New York store (see above), who promised to send an e-mail to Tim at Zachys DC who would get in touch with me. I am still waiting for a response. This would be a comedy of errors if it wasnt such waste of my time and money driving down from Baltimore . I will not be visiting Zachys DC in the foreseeable future, given the waste of time and part of my afternoon, and simply want a full refund for my troubles.
