Truck was available on time and personnel were helpful and friendly. No parking on site at Bladensburg Rd location but theres free street parking nearby. The truck was delivered to me with no gas, but they did give me a fuel credit of $33 for returning it with 1/4 tank. This is the second time Ive ordered furniture blankets with my truck rental from UHaul and had them missing. CHECK to make sure you have all the equipment you ordered before leaving. I loved the ability to edit my reservation online and by phone beforehand as well as the self check-out and return options for before/after hours. Their self service process is straightforward and easy (must have a smart phone).

I just ran in to get some supplies for packing, but I was extremely pleased with how the gentleman handled his customers. It got quite busy while I was there but his professionalism and calm demeanor kept everything and everyone cool. Pleas have patience in the UHaul store, truck rental transactions take time but I saw some people had reserved online and that seems like the best way to go. He even offered to help me take my items to my car.

I have rented a motorcycle trailer from here a few times. Every time the staff has been very polite during my visit. I reserve the trailer online. The check in process has been smooth. The staff tells me what trailer to back up to and they do the rest. They complete the hook up process and ask if I have any questions. They even remind you to buckle up, drive safely and have a great day. When returning I pull up to the trailer area not the truck return lane and they unhook the trailer for me. It has been a simple smooth process every time I go here to rent a motorcycle trailer.

They make it so convenient to return the vehicle in an easy-to-access, dedicated area, without having to necessarily go inside, even though we rented it from another location and were dropping it off here. I rented a 10” U-Haul moving rental truck from the Bladensburg location which was heavily roach infested in both the cargo and incab department of the vehicle I have both actual video recordings and pictures of the infestation. My biggest concern was that my belongings would be infested by the pest I had to shake my items out before moving it into my home this is completely unexeptable I would like to file a formal complaint! I was also Overcharged for the expenses of the rental truck I returned the vehicle at the same fuel odometer reading with pictures however I was charged a fuel fee I called in advance to have my rental duration time extended I would like a full reimbursement for my rental return

The staff and rental are nice. Its only 1 star because I was transferred to this location without notification prior. Since I was transferred, my price almost doubled. Location safety 8/10, staff 8/10, vehicle 9/10. Second time Uhual has done this transfer without notification but still charge you miles. Be prepared to pay $40-$60 than quoted.

Do NOT use the self return app! The app requires you to take photos of the odometer, and the camera in the app is so horrible that I could not get a clear photo of the odometer. It took 30 minutes of trying and retrying before I finally got a clear enough photo to complete the transaction and leave the UHaul place, at which point I was in tears. When I arrived they were still open and I talked to two UHaul employees to explain that I was having trouble with the photos and asked if they could confirm the odometer reading for me. Both refused and said they didnt process returns after 6:45, and would not help me as I sat there taking photo after photo. This experience was awful and I would not wish it on anyone else. If you book here, make sure it is within business hours so you do not have to use the app for your return!

The only female there was ridiculously rude, took cash payments, refused to give receipts. Harassed customers, didnt give cash change. Just overall rude and to find out she was a manager was completely disheartening. I feel bad for anybody all her subordinates. She refuses to stand or go get an employee she rather call them over like dogs. I hope every single employee walks out.

BE THERE BEFORE 4:45. Arrived at the location at 4:47 because the sign said they close at 5, to simply return a couple boxes and the gentleman popped his head out the window and said they do not do transactions after 4:45 and are closed for that then😒😒 why not put closed at 4:45 instead then. Also, DO NOT park on the lot while moving it your car can get towed. One of the first Uhauls Ive been to with no on site parking. Gave a 2 because Ive been there once before and the girl was nice.

This team is a dream to work with! The manager Chris always keeps a positive energy and a solutions mindset, even in the face of things going wrong.I ordered a hitch to be installed -it was supposed to be there Monday, it wasnt. Rescheduled to Friday (part wasnt in yet) FedEx was very late on their delivery (over a week) of the hitch to be installed, and Chris went to another u-haulbranch 45 min away to pick from their stock. And even called back in after he was off to make sure the paper work was correct.Thanks team!

This is the most humiliating incident I ever experienced in my life.This location needs a close down if not compliant with customer’s satisfaction. Incompetent!!! The vehicles and equipment are poorly maintained. You have to watch them like a hawk when it comes to billing. I was recently double charged for a rental over the span of 2 days. A customer returned equipment while I was in the store. The clerk told him, youre good to go I just emailed your receipt. the guy would not budge. When the receipt did not show up right away on his phone he asked the clerk for a printed copy. I thought he was being a stickler. I now understand why he refused to leave before reviewing his charges!

WOW!!! I could not be happier!!! I had to rent a trailer with zero notice. I reserved online at 1:00 am for 10:00 am the same day. Reservation went in and they confirmed at 9:00 am when they opened. Checked in online and breezed through the counter. Hook up was quickly and expertly done. Even the bathroom was modern and spotless. Im only sorry this isnt my closest Uhaul (45 minutes away) This part of DC has a reputation for being sketchy, but I felt safe the entire time. I dropped off after hours using the web site and my phone. Very cool. I would not hesitate to recommend this location to family and friends!!!

My reservation was for 1pm at a different location. The truck wasnt available at 1, so my reservation got moved to this location for 2:30pm. When I showed up to Bladensburg at 2:30, they told me the truck wouldnt be available until 3:30 and that therefore they had changed my reservation from 2:30 to 3:30. Very frustrating.

All of the employees were vere helpful and friendly! The general manager actually processed our rental for us, really excellent customer service. Moving is stressful, but they honestly took the edge off with their demeanor. Just pay attention to the signs for where you return the equipment, and if they are busy, park on R street since there arent many parking spaces in their lot.

If I had the option I would not even give this location one star.I rented a vehicle that was not properly serviced before rental, I had to stop my move 3 hours after renting and bring the vehicle back to the lot.The staff was rude and unprofessional and the woman checking in the vehicle upon check in was wearing a durag on her head and had the temperment to match. I thought I was living out an episode of Girlz in the Hood at Uhaul, east coast style.I did not take physical possession of the vehicle until at little after 3pm. In fact the office held possession of the vehicle keys until that time in case they needed to move any of the other rental vehicles on the lot.The Branch Manager Mr. Parker was not in the office when I returned the vehicle, I was not offered to be switch into another vehicle. Although it was documented by the staff the tire pressure light was on and the vehicle was properly serviced after I returned the vehicle and before they rented the vehicle to another customer.As a result my move was delayed and not completed until the next morning on Nov 17,2020 which has been documented by the storage facility.The General Manager, Mr. Parker refused to provide me with any adjustment in my bill. Although it was document by the Bladensburg location, there was a tire pressure problem with the truck. The same problem which caused me to make the decision to return the vehicle back to the lot after only driving it for 14 miles.According to Uhaul.com Incorrect tire pressure can cause poor stability, an uneven ride and poor gas mileage.Underinflated tires are dangerous. ... underinflated tires can cause early tire failure, including tread separation and blowouts, as happened to the First Baptist Church van. ... On one occasion, the left-rear tire that failed was inflated as low as 50 psi, ...Mr. Parker stated to me on 11/24/2020 1:24pm via telephone because he did not respond to my last email correspondence. At this time he stated low tire pressure should have not been a real concern, it should not have caused me to disrupt my moving process and bring the vehicle back to the lot.I wonder if it was this same attitude of Uhauls staff that we care about the money and are not concerned about the renter that lead to the the tragic incident involving U Haul listed below:Tragic Multiple Death Case Due to Underinflated Tires Settled ...sjblaw.com › tragic-multiple-death-case-due-to-underin...The van and the U-Haul trailer it was towing rolled over, ejecting four ... Zero stars! Zero professionalism! Had an appointment on the books for weeks but they didnt bother ordering the part needed for the hitch Install. Showed up for appointment and tech (who was not wearing his mask as he was dealing closely with customers) was chuckling as he told me that my time was just wasted because they couldnt honor the appointment. Acted like he was doing a huge favor by calling to see if someone else would have the part and tried to get me to wait there even though there was no chance my appointment could go through today. The messed up the order that was online and didnt include things that was.supposed too. After you agree you cant prove what you order besides the truck. Also left the truck open and it rained night before so covered in rain. Luckily the people employed there did the best to fix it and when I returned it and didnt have all the parts they easily did not charge me (even though never had them to begin with).

I was charged a $45 cleaning fee when i returned the truck. They said we had left two pieces of wood and a few papers on the floor. I called the location and they sent me to Customer Service. To my surprise, she immediately called Chris, the Bladensburg Road location manager, to ask for a partial refund. He refused to cut any of the charge, even though its clear this would only have taken a minute or two at most to remove the 4 or 5 items. Unless youre paying the cleaning crew a few thousand dollars an hour, that is a completely unreasonable penalty. Next time we should probably use Penske.

On 10/30 I reserved a 20 foot truck because I was moving from Oxon Hill, MD to Waldorf MD which is about 23 miles apart. I reserved a one way trip because the pickup was ten minutes from the move out location and the drop off was ten minutes from move in location.Once I arrived to the pickup location at 9am on 10/31 I was told that a truck was not available for me to pick up and I had to wait a few days. I didn’t have that option because my lease was up that same day and I had to be out by midnight. I was also told that someone called me and left a message letting me know a truck wasn’t available. I did not receive that call and didn’t have a “missed call showing on my phone. After speaking to a sales rep at uhaul via phone call I was advised that the “only” truck that was available was a 10 foot truck that was in Washington DC. which was clearly out of my way. I was also told that the truck had to be returned to that Washington DC location. I had no other choice because I had to be out by midnight.My plans clearly changed. Because of the inconvenience my trip changed from a 23-25 mile trip to a 120 mile trip. Instead of filling up a 20 foot truck one time I had to fill up the 10 foot truck twice costing me more time, more gas and more mileage all equaling more money.Instead of my trip being one way from Oxon Hill MD to Waldorf MD it became:1. Washington DC to Oxon Hill MD2. Oxon Hill MD to Waldorf MD3. Waldorf MD to Oxon Hill MD (2nd trip)4. Oxon Hill MD to Waldorf MD5. Waldorf MD to Washington DC (to return truck)Instead of paying $60-$70, my total was $210 which is very disappointing. I’ve used uhaul on several occasions and never received this type of service before and to a certain degree I have lost confidence in uhaul producing what they advertise.

The rented vehicle was dusty inside, which tells me that it had NOT been sanitized. Seems like that should be a safety measure taken in these times. Additionally, the tire pressure was low. So, not only was the vehicle NOT in good condition, it was NOT safe.They dont tell you until you arrive to pick up your rental that they dont have secure parking onsite for your vehicle.

At the time of p/u the tire light was on on the dashboard. The guy said that he didn’t know why bc all the tires were new and to disregard. Upon traveling to VaBeach area the truck tire constantly wobbled. When turns were made it cause the truck to swerve, bc of this I almost had 2 different accidents. Now I know to go with my instincts and ask for different truck in the future.

This location has been nothing but problems for me. I ordered a Ubox to move across the country. I pay $103 per month for storage and insurance. Last month the manager at this location charged my credit card over $500. Customer service got a hold of him to reverse all but one charge. I never got a call back to reverse the final charge so I had to dispute it with my bank. Today I got an email about several new charges. I am sick of this place wrongly charging my credit card.I will be on the phone tomorrow AGAIN with customer service to correct this. What an unprofessional manager. I will be cancelling my credit card tomorrow so that I am done with this place.

The two stars are for their willingness to reschedule my hitch installation to accommodate my schedule. However, I probably shouldnt give them any since the wiring was faulty and I didnt realize it until the end of a long trip to Ohio. As I exited the turnpike after 11 hours of driving (3 in the dark), another driver told me that none of the lights on my trailer were working so no one could see my vehicle from behind. So dangerous!Also, when I arrived on time for my appointment, the technician was at another location and wouldnt arrive for awhile. So they had me drop off my car, I walked 2.5 miles home, and was called 3.5 hours later to be told it was finished.

My experience was so unreal that it will make me never again use UHAUL, even though I recognize that their availability and product makes them so easy to use and almost invincible to reviews like this one. I have been a UHAUL customer for 6 years and spent several thousand dollars with them, when this location managed to royally screw up a half-day in-town rental. I was charged the normal correct amount after my move, and then almost two weeks later a mysterious additional charge showed up on my credit card. No explanation, no receipt...nothing. So I called the branch manager, not once, but twice, and both times he said that he would get back to me, and never did. Not only was that completely unprofessional, but when I did finally corner him on the phone he said that because there was no receipt, he could not refund the amount!...but that is exactly why I needed a refund! I spent the next week on the phone with customer support being bounced around to people who told me that they did not have the authorization to issue a refund, until someone finally told me that they WOULD HAVE issued me one, but it was the weekend, so I should call back on Monday. Low and behold, on Monday, when I called back, my contract number had mysteriously disappeared out of their entire system. 3 customer service representatives couldnt find it. And yes, the charges are still on my credit card. I finally just had to dispute the charge with my credit card company and call it quits.

There is an unhinged CSR working at the Bladensburg location. She is seen on camera after hours scratching my vehicle. Before the intentional damage she caused we were taken aback how rude she was while we were filling out the documents. You almost think she is joking and her co-workers will only give you a pitiful sorry expression when you make eye contact with them (two larger men). Im generally able to turn around bad customer service by being friendly but Dezea resisted and continued being abrasive. When the equipment we reserved wasnt available, she became even combative and threw her name badge at us after I grabbed a business card from the holder. I guess she assumed Id be calling the manager and would need her name. Which by the way dont bother calling the manager because when I let him know of my experience and the intentional damage to my vehicle he merely mentioned theyve already seen their security footage and would be in touch with me later in the week. No apology. No explanation as to why she behaved that way. Avoid this location.
