Cleanest batbrooms and friendliest staff Ive ever encountered at a Safeway. Im usually anti Safeway, but it was my only option ans I was pleasantly surprised. I would come back. The young man in the deli was great!

Let me start by saying there was a line that took 30 minutes to get through, only one person behind the counter. Once we get our food we were shorted one egg roll, they were stale and not edible. Stuff behind the deli counter taking money and not washing their hands afterwards. This was a store that I gave five stars not too long ago. Before the pandemic. One good thing was all the staff were wearing masks, that was good to see. Other than that I probably will not go to Safeway to get any deli food, anytime in the future. Besides the long wait, overcharging and the cross-contamination, I might have given 2 stars, but this place was an absolute mess, horrible service.

Love their flower selection, always fresh and much to choose from. I have ordered by phone and baught in person, they also make deliveries!Convenient store with everything you need!!

This Safeway is rarely overly-busy, always has great sales going on (buy 2 get 2 free on cases of name-brand soda!) and in my experience, has never been out of stock for any obscure item I happen to be shopping for. My favorite grocery store to shop at and I drive 30 miles from Stevenson, WA to shop here and save money.

Prices a little high, but good selection. Fresh fruit and veggies. The deli staff is friendly and helpful.

Large Safeway making social distancing an ease

I dont think I have never reviewed a grocery store before but have had so many negative experiences lately, having such a good experience at this Safeway really stood out. First, it was well-stocked, clean and well-staffed. This was very apparent at the deli counter which usually seems understaffed and whoever is there, overwhelmed. My experience today was exactly opposite! Several people working this department and the young man who assisted me with a time consuming order was thoughtful, polite and professional. So refreshing! Then, I checked out with a delightful cashier (with a beautifully sequined pink mask) and a smile underneath it! And the icing on top... someone (besides me) bagged my groceries!!! At other Safeways in the last few months in Camas,Troutdale, Hood River and even here, I have been bagging my own costly purchases like I was at an old Food 4 Less... Thank you to the Washougal Store Manager for making my trip to Safeway a pleasant experience again.

I have been shopping at Safeway for over 60 yrs now. I raised 6 children with the awesome help of their good sales and great products. During the past year with the covid 19 restrictions it has been so helpful to have my neighborhood Safeway nearby. They have been clean, well organized and safe. They are greatly appreciated. Go check out their great produce!

The service since just before covid has gone to the worst possible. Since Thanksgiving the meat dept running out of turkeys three consecutive days prior to the holiday weve been to the store for four different weekly coupon meat items. Again last week at 4:15 in the afternoon on a Saturday, the Coupon item steaks for the grill were out of stock. I asked the butcher for a package from perhaps the back. He told me no that they had been sold out long ago. They have completely given up on customer needs and or satisfaction. For a company to spend millions annually on advertising to get a customer into the store then treat the customer with no regard is disheartening.Perhaps with so many other choices of where to shop I will be finding another store to do my weekly grocery trip.

I always love shopping here but the pricing is kind of confusing with the club card and item quantity limits that arent very clear.

They use TPP to increase the weight of their fish to sell it for more money. Will never go to a Safeway again. Sorely disappointed.

Needs more specialty items. Some cashiers/baggers desperately need basic training; produce does not go in the bottom of the bag!

We love this Safeway, the checkers are so fun and friendly and the pharmacy folks, Tyler and Jeff are great.

I love this little store. The staff are friendly and the pharmacist always remembers my name. It is a little pricey but that is to be expected in a small town.

Its a Safeway.Not much to say, if youve been to one youve been to them all. Though, generally the staff here are really friendly and helpful.

I love our Safeway. Great checkers and I know where most things are. I get their coupons online and they also have in-store coupons. I like the variety of veggies.

My dog Porscha, a GSD, spent 3 weeks being trained by her. She is the best.I have had other trainers though the years and this is the best program I have ever seen with easy methods and technics.Time and money well spent for the dog you love 💕

My Experience was horrible. KRISTINA the pharmacist was BEYOND rude. She obviously has no empathy towards people. I am an essential worker who is in the tier to receive my Covid vaccine. I was already reluctant to the vaccine but feel it essential for my line if work. She treated me as if I had completely ruined her day for asking for a service they perform. Maybe if she doesnt like to do this already scary procedure for someone she should send the vaccine to another more convenient safeway... . The gentleman who gave me the shot was sweet as pie.

Terrible service other people are fine there but I usually skate here and there was trash and glass all around the spot I was skating and I asked if I could have some one come sweep it and the lady comes out and just sweeps a little and calls it a day so i proceeded to buy my own broom so I can do the job right

Be careful here they dont enforce mask rulesI restrict my visits to just after opening. Was there at closing the other day and the entire stock crew had no masks. A week ago just the moment I passed the entrance I saw 3 or 4 people with no masks. This was at 3 pm.

I love the customer service at this location! I needed Turkey legs and they were out, so the butcher on duty that evening cut up a whole bird so I could purchase them. Saved our little pandemic Thanksgiving. Thank you!

No paper bags available and they offer to adults plastic toy collectibles (“Micropopz”) when you check out. It’s like going back in time before anyone knew how over 90% of plastic produced cannot be recycled and oceans are flooded with it. Do adults really need to collect plastic toys anyway? Are paper bags really that difficult to offer?

We like Safeway. But I prefer to shop where I can spend less and get more. Like WinCo. Now thats what im talikn about

Perfect Location 2 miles from our house and the Employees are awesome.

I needed a NEW prescription filled for my diabetes. My clinic did so many things wrong on this. But thanks to the wonderful, kind, and caring service I received from the Pharmacist (I think her name was Christina) she made a terrible situation so much better. It took 2 visits for everything to be right. Thanks to Christina, who very patiently went over my situation with me, then made phone calls to my clinic/Doctors office, and in spite of being somewhat busy, stayed the course to make sure EVERYTHING was fixed. I truly appreciate that kind of service. While Im forced to use mail order most of the time for my prescriptions, you can rest assured that, in the event there is one I cannot use mail order, I will be visiting Christina. In fact, because of her fantastic service, I will also be doing some of my shopping at the Washougal Safeway as well. John

The above mentioned employees provide exceptional customer service and they all have outstanding personalities as well!!! They all go the extra mile which is unheard of in this day and age. Was being followed by store secret shoppers for some reason...all the way to the checkout...pulling out a $100 bill to pay for my goods changed their actions

I can ☆not☆ express my gratitude to the Butcher at this location. I came in on Superbowl Sunday, when work is probably the last place he wanted to be, and I had a minuscule budget. Its an average grocery store. You wont find the wide selection of healthy or organic food stuffs as you would at some of the competing stores but there are a few things here and there.The prices are average I would say. Definitely not cheap by my standards. But, the location is convenient and so is the parking. So, if you only need a few items it might be worth stopping here in order to save a trip to a further store.

Best Safeway ever!

It has a nice variety of items, still limited as it is a smaller store, but I perfer to shop here for most things. They are putting in a lot of hours to keep things sanitized for their customers.

I can never give a Safeway 5 stars cause their prices are too high but theres nothing really wrong with this location. Always clean and organized and the shelves are stocked. Very acceptable variety to be your main grocery destination if you live out here.

The Washougal Safeway is the best one stop grocery store for wast side shoppers. Great organics and good prices, best meat selection in town, at good prices, well staffed checkouts. Not to mention the many price benefits of the app. Well done, Washougal Safeway!

I shop there all the time. I eat organic and their selection is pretty good. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable.

I like Safeway because the staff are friendly and helpful. They could make their sales and coupons more consumer friendly.

The Safeway was clean and well-organized had everything that I needed mostly I had a nice time it was a pleasant experience.

Custom service is usually a 9 but recently I have had more difficultly using coupons as advertised.

Fantastic, but I have to cut two stars because of how disappointing the chips were. I mean, the chips were fine, but maybe saturate them with something other than air next time.

They dont care if the pharmacy help smokes marijuana? I prefer the people dispensing medicine arent pot smokers. Just a personal preference......

Small comfortable store!

This is my go to store in town. Its very expensive but I just shop the sales. The deli is better than most of the other Safeways. The butcher is fantastic. I seldom buy meat anywhere else. The bakery is also good. For better options I have to drive into east Vancouver, so I do most of my quick stops here. The cashiers are fast and friendly. Its overall a good, clean store.

Overall theyre always good. Mask rule is stupid though. Sheep.

I only give Safeway 3 stars because I absolutely HATE the app. So getting the additional savings is a pain and you dont get cell service inside to be able to add any savings before going to the register. Other than Safeway in general being expensive, this safe way has good customer service. No complaints there. I just prefer to do as little shopping here as possible and go elsewhere for the bulk of my shopping.

My local Safeway is great because it has friendly employees that help me find things I dont normally buy. The pharmacy people are helpful as well. The produce department is always willing to let me sample.

Great...I like spending time here, get my walking exercise in and shop at the same time.Frithought I would shop before the crowd hah! I guess others thought the same thing. Unbelievable busy. This was at 2:30p. But its $5 Friday, nothing has changed much same friendly staff. Was surprised the checkout clerk, Mina asked me how I have been hadnt seen me for awhile. How did she remember, I told her usually shop early in the morning. She couldnt believe how good I looked, 6 months since my open heart surgery. Nice lady, always has a smile and a sweet hello.

Great place to stop and get food on my way home. Great selection and the bakery make kicken desserts. So getting items at a decent price is easy and usually really quick.

I only buy my meats from Safeway. The butchers are nice and if you need the meat trimmed up, they are happy to do it. Excellent customer service always.
