If you purchased a part online and used your Speed Perks coupon and other discount and if you have to return that part because it’s defective you will not be able to exchange the defective part at the same price you bought it online ..So I purchased a external voltage regulator online (Advance Auto) for $12.74 a good deal after using my $5.00 Speed Perks coupon and a 25 % off promo code online . I paid for it online and pick it up at the store . Well the very next day after I install the regulator and bench tested the regulator I came to a conclusion that the regulator was bad shorted out internally .I called the store and explained the situation with the regulator, they say they didn’t have another one in stock but was able to get one from a near by store by 10:30 am .So later that day I drove to the store (Wasilla, AK) with the defective part and the receipt from the day before . The lady at the parts counter was trying to figure out how to do the return or the exchange I just wanted a good part and didn’t want my money back well she wasn’t able to and had to get I believe the store manager to help her anyway I just want the regulator and be on my way, ok this is where it gets fishy the manager told me that since I purchased the part online at the cost of 12.74 they would not be able to do a n exchange, I would have to buy the part again online right there in order for me to get that low price, just to mention your only allowed to used your speed perks coupon once you can’t used again . After while watching the manager and the part person play musical chairs with the computer I just got tried and said just give me my money back and I’ll just take my business somewhere .So this experience was an eyes opener customer service at this store was non existent, this one of the reason why are Amazon closing these local store .Carquest store 4693790 Swanson AvenueWasilla, AK 99654Can I give this review a no star?

I took a starter in to get it tested. The employee told me that it didnt do anything. Then tried to get me to buy a $150 starter that they didnt have. I went to OReillys they retested the starter and it worked perfectly!!

These people are so unprofessional. I had a family member call and place a part on hold and knew that someone was on the way to pick them up. I arrived 5 minutes before closing and they were already closed. When I spoke to the people leaving they admitted they closed a few minutes early and wouldn’t help me. Absolutely unacceptable.

Never seems to have what I need in stock and prices always seem to be higher than competition.
