Pleasantly sized and mostly quiet place with friendly and informative staff. Staff dont really stand out if you show up when a couple groups are there but they make themselves known and are on top of making sure to offer help and answer questions if you need it.

MJs is a great local tabletop game store. They have tables set up for magic, x-wing, warhammer and whatever else you can think of. They regularly host events to encourage new people to come check out the store.I went with my son for a Miniature painting event and they gave us free minis to paint, provided paints, brushes and everything we needed to get started. They gave us a beginners tutorial and were super helpful during each of the steps. While we were there they ordered pizza for everyone free of charge.I highly recommend checking the place out to get your game on, paint a few minis, or just hang out with some great local nerds.

Very sad to hear that MJ’s is putting people’s lives at risk by hosting public events without requiring masks or taking any safety precautions whatsoever.One of their DMs (Jim Grayden) is advertising ‘packed’ game nights with no masks.If that is the behavior they endorse, I won’t be visiting again.

Excellent little game shop, sells board games, paints, miniatures, and accessories! Hosting game nights weekly and great place to gather for any occassion!

Laid back atmosphere with a great guy behind the counter. There was a game night going while we visited and everybody seems to be regulars there. Our child is getting into gaming and they have everything needed. We will be back to do some Christmas shopping!

The bathroom was clean, the new furniture for game play and display is very nice. The new paint color makes the space feel comfortable and the casual atmosphere was only heightened by the clean smell.

Excellent little local game store. Their selection is a bit smaller to some similarly sized shops I have been in, but the friendly atmosphere and knowledgable staff have made a bit of a loyal customer for my table top gaming- be it DnD, Warhammer 40k or MTG- needs.

This is a really fun place to hang out. It is nice to have access to several important pieces for many different games. They have D&D, Warhammer, Magic: The Gathering, and even Pokèmon. There are also provided tables to play Warhammer.

Great service and they can get anything for your gaming needs be it TableTop, miniatures and board games.

Primarily a Warhammer store, however they do have card games like Pokemon and Magic available. They hold regular Magic the Gathering and Warhammer tournaments. The play atmosphere is relaxed but not entirely casual. For a beginning Magic player, I would suggest you know your basics before playing here. Good selection of DnD books and miniatures. No comics unfortunately.

Mj comics has very insightful staff and very friendly atmosphere for people of the gaming culture and very welcoming and informative for people new to the scene as well. With very fair prices and willing to order items they do not hold at the store. I would very highly recommend the location to anyone willing to get into table top or card gaming in alaska that doesnt want to waste gas running and to anchorsge.

Nice local shop, I went looking for D&D minis and they had tons plus all the paints youd need.

Its advertised as a comic store, but has absolutely no comics, not an exaggeration, its basically a Warhammer store, thats all i saw, Im sure theyre great people, and fun, but you have comics in the business name, i wanted to see comics.

Amazon won’t ship Pokémon cards to PO Boxes. MJ’s came through quickly for the birthday boy, responding quickly via Facebook Messenger to place the order. They even threw in a booster pack as a birthday bonus. Thanks MJ Cards & Comics!
