I love Menards. I can always find what Im looking for, and more.

Mid 20 children good adventure if you want a note pad they have pads for days. Didnt taste great though. Stairs were too hard. Upper of the lower quality if I do say so. 5/10 would lick the floor if need be.

The lady at customer service was a huge help since I couldnt find anyone on the floor. She had someone take me to the item I was looking for . Kudos to customer service.

The last 2 times Ive been here with my grandma, the employees were extremely rude. They rushed her and acted like she was taking forever to bag the items even though there was no one behind us and it really didnt take her long at all. She needed help finding a filter so she asked an employee and they said not my department and just walked off, instead of offering to find someone to help or tell her which department to ask. I started working in customer service at 16 and acted more professionally...

So use to the ceder falls store but got it figured out with the help of the helpful staff... wish staff in ceder falls was so quick to ask if I need help

Had everything I needed as a commercial grade framer and decent prices this week on many of the food items.

Always prompt on service but today I loaded while two workers watched

I have visited this location many, many times! Each experience was less than mediocre but today, today took the cake! I was brining back a handful of items my husband purchased while we were renovating. I had the receipt for all of the items. The woman behind the front counter was EXTREMELY RUDE! When it was my turn, she motioned me to the desk and stood there and stared at me. When I was handing her the items to return I was attempting to make small talk as she hadn’t said a word to me (Hi, Ma’am, Good afternoon etc.). As I was talking, mid sentence she walked away and started talking on her walkie. When she returned I was waiting for a “Sorry about that” or an apology for walking away while I was talking. Nothing! She said nothing. She nearly threw a couple of items back at me stating they were not from Menards and she couldn’t take them back. Now… I have worked in Customer Service nearly all of my life and I have NEVER spoken to a customer or been so rude to a customer as she was to me.I decided to walk the store and ouches up a few items. While checking out I approached the cashier who didn’t even acknowledge my existence…. She never said a word to me besides the total.I’m not expecting anyone to go out of their way to talk to me but a little acknowledgment would be nice.Do better Menards! You allow this type of Customer Service to be provided. Up your game and standard! Sheesh. I don’t think we will be purchasing anything from Menards any more.Remember, you have competition right down the road.

Getting good help to find items Id not so much hear they will tell u a general location and its on u meh come on guys 🤣 help me out I dont wanna spend all day looking for a sheet of metal all dang day .

Im a contractor that tried to bring a expensive tool back with a receipt and since the lady behind the counter couldnt scan the receipt I was out of luck. I couldnt even take it back without a receipt even with no receipt returns on my record. cause supposedly they didnt have it stock??

We couldnt find what we were looking for and a employee jumped right in and found it super fast in and out in record time

I love coming to Menards. I find everything I need & then some. The only bad thing is I didnt buy food and after we checked out in front of customer service there is a box asking to donate food. You dont see it until after you cash out. Maybe that is why there is only a few things in the box.

Stay away from the Tool Shop brand, inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Its easy to check if an item is in stock using the website, however, unlike Lowes & Home Depot, their software does not tell to where to find it.

Menards met most of my expectations. That being said, they didnt seem to have all the items would have liked, but overall it was good. The floor staff were friendly & fairly helpful.

Cant find a single person to help you with a question.I was always told its best to Stay in your lane. Quit trying to be a grocery store and stay in your lane. Maybe pay some folks with a background to which you are hiring them to sell the goods and services.

Best place for lumber in waterloo. Might cost somewhat more but at least its straight

I went to menards, all items were there. This was at 4:00 pm. I ordered a chimney kit for a garage heater..I didnt receive the kit. I received all individual pieces by this time it was 7 pm. Got to checking my receipt the kit for 95.00 was not there. I was charged 278$for individual pieces. Mind you this is all for new build..it took me til after 9pm.to convinced 3 women an 1 guy. To refund my money. Need less to say, after this much time being wasted. It wasnt my time of night to be nice guy.After the butt head in me came out.Problem was solved with my refund.

Parking lot at every Waterloo store is difficult to get in today 8-10-21. Paving lot. Only entrance is off of the frontage road.

Treated like a thief for trying to return 3M window cellophanes. Checked that they were still for sale, they were!! Run out to car get the two I bought a few months back, and request a return. Staff acts like they don’t sell, we can’t take it back without a receipt. Hello, you sell them for 13.98, your scan says 6.99, meaning I’d eat 50% to return, make it happen!! Nope no returns without a receipt.Your right, in the sge if swipe the card you used, to refund; you should have a sign all sales final!! All good it’s my final purchase. Note you’re surrounded by Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ace, and True Value..Good luck going forward.

Today wasnt a pleasant one. I was searching for a particular part necessary for my wagon hitch to work and without the proper measurement I purchased the incorrect part now I have to go back and try and find the right one.

The staff is always nice and willing to help with whatever.

Menards is the best parts store in town. You can always find help with the hard questions.My safety first, was impressive when Covid started.

Just needed a few things and they had what we were looking for.

I was told a playset was in stock and I could pick up at the store. When I arrived a ticket was made and I was sent to the cashier. After paying for said playset I was sent to pickup and was told there it was a mistake, they did not have the item. They also couldnt guarantee that I would receive the next one that arrived even though I had paid. So I had to go back to the front and get my money back.

The store manager was rude when I stated that I had a medical condition preventing me from wearing a mask. Im disappointed in the service in how I was treated.

Clerk on the floor was helpful. He was mostly bald. Honey stock was low. Disappointing.

Its a long way to walk in and out to find they dont have a small bag of cheap crabgrass preventer fertilizer. They need to open up their entrance and exits for both ways like it was before the pandemic.

I have shopped here for many years and have spent thousands of dollars. I went to purchase a sofa that was on their ad. I had a problem, but an employee, Buck, went the extra mile and corrected things. Great help from a super employee.

Went to take a generator back and the lady at customer service was very rude. I will drive to Cedar Falls from now on to go to Menards. Then stand in bolt isle and a worker was standing so close to a friend that he could have layed his head on his shoulder. Then asked if he was in his way.

Not good on customer service, starting to resemble walmart where the employees turn a blind eye when your close by. But I knew what I was going in for and helped myself to their customized door services. 11% rebate creates incentive when you drop a few dollars compared to local competitors.

Today I stopped in to get a list of items for a project and was helped by a wonderful lady named Agnes. She was working in the area where the pvc pipes are and she noticed that what I was attempting to buy was the wrong item. The correct items (of which I needed 9) appeared to be out of stock. Agnes not only found the items I was looking for, she went back to the loading area and carted them up to me as well.After this, Agnes asked me what else was on my list and proceeded to guide me around the store to several different departments (none of which I would have found on my own in the time it took her) making sure I got each and every thing I needed for the project.This was without a doubt the absolute best customer service I have ever received at a home improvement store. Without help from Agnes, I would have certainly wasted time, gotten the wrong items, and probably had to make multiple trips to your store and end up very frustrated.In today’s world it’s very convenient to be able to go online and order items to have them shipped directly to you, in a lot of cases eliminating the need to shop at stores like yours. I’m sure you know that online companies like Amazon are a massive threat to your business model. HOWEVER, YOU CANNOT REPLACE ACTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE with the convenience of online shopping!If you are smart, you will give Agnes a raise, a pat on the back, and make her the model of how a shopping experience should be at Menards.I look forward to my next visit and I guarantee you I will come find Agnes to help me!

My baby and are stuck out in the middle of nowhere because someone in your store closed 20-30 min EARLY! There were 3 people outside waiting to buy specific products from your store. We all knew exactly what we needed...it would of taken less than 20 min. So, I would love to know corporates number and the main managers name. Thanks to you and your employees my 6 yr old and I are stranded because you claimed to be open till 9 PM!

Picked up some rock and pavers and was happy to see that you could just scan yourself into the yard for pickup! Once we got inside a worker asked us if we needed help and he helped us load! Was grateful, it was heavy work! 🙂

Menards cannot legally call theirrebates an actual rebate, when they are treated as store credit...they are store credit...stop the rebate lie.We spent $338 on cabinets 2 weeks ago, the salesperson sold us over $60 of items we didnt need. Upon returning unnecessary items, we couldnt get our money back because I had used a rebate/store credit of $64.51...so..even though we spent over $300...our returns had to be store crefit...store credit on items we didnt even need....Menards knows how to steal from customers. Not right...

Every time I go in they had exactly what I need and the staff is very helpful. Huge selection with reasonable prices.

Things are usually pretty good at Menards but tonight they had a checker who was pretty unfriendly. This is the second time Ive had to deal with her. She doesnt respond to small talk (she just started at you while youre talking then ignores you) she sounds like she hates her job and looks like she hates you too. She makes me think I might go to home depot next time.

I tried to warranty a tool that I bought and they were trying to force me to buy and wear a mask or else they wouldnt honor their warranty! BUY YOUR THINGS ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

Menards is about the small DIYer n the contractor. I like this store. But then Im kind of a tool freak. 😂 But, they are far more than just about tools, n they have a pretty decent selection of products - although, mainly home n garden...repairs, remodeling, storage n organizing, n even outdoor furniture n holiday decorations...

I normally prefer Menards to other places in the area but after trying to save time and ordering so I could pick up and spending 10 minutes in guest service line waiting to talk to someone just to find out I had to walk to the complete back corner of the store to get my item Im pretty upset. I get better service from walmart.

I was able to find the shelving I needed very quickly with how organized everything was. I didn’t have to ask where it was or look for different pieces all over the store.

Had to call the store to get help at paint desk. I know they seen me, I saw them look at me. I didnt know that they were the paint department because they didnt come help me.

Ordered and paid for a dishwasher on the 10th of May. It was supposed to be here June 26. Dishwasher did not arrive when promised. No one bothered to call me that it didnt arrive. When I called to question was told it would not be here until August 7th. I asked how it could take 3 months to get a dishwasher. Didnt have an answer for me. They did tell me there were 2 at the Des Moines store. I asked why if Des Moines had 2 in stock I didnt have 1 of them. Was told they dont transfer products between stores.Very poor customer service in my mind. Was offered the display model at a 50.00 discount. I wait 3 MONTHS and all thats worth is 50.00???SMHWill be shopping at Lowes from now on. Get a 10% discount for being a Veteran and dont have to jump through the hoops of mailing in receipts and getting a store credit.I will gladly give up 1%.

I too would give 0 if I could. Fridge died, went looking to replace it and a new stove. I had to ask someone in the grocery department to find someone to help me out. He said, she’s busy now but would be with me soon. When she came she looked up what I wanted. I purchased and she came back with a few papers to sign. I asked what they were and she replied, “just that we don’t have to take the doors off to get it inside.” I said, “ I was not sure, except you may have to take the doors off the side by side to get it out.” She said, “that’s okay we just have to note it.” I headed home with a cooler, then I thought they didn’t ask me about a new flex hose for the stove. Called back, they don’t hook up stoves. Drove over to cancel the stove and had to wait for a Mgr. Customer service issued a refund. On my way to work I realized she didn’t credit me for the disposal. Called again and the Manager said he would get back to me. He found the ticket and refunded the disposal. With that note, don’t sign anything without reading it because they trap you and then you’ll get delivery and no disposal and they don’t unhook your appliances or hook them up either. Shame on this place.... so far all I see on my card is the amount I paid for both appliances not a credit for the stove or disposal. I know that takes a few days and you bet I’ll be watching for it and calling if I don’t see it soon.

Tell your security guard that thinks he’s a sheriff to calm down, And take the bandage off and stop trying to intimidate customers threatening to kick me out the store. Will take my business to Home Depot at least they are more friendly.

Not very good. No one wanted to help a guy out. Sent me all over the place. Will go to Home Depot or Lowes before I ever go back there. And cut that star in half.
