I had an altercation with the bias staff, about being selective with who they decide to tell to wear a mask. Most unprofessional experience I’ve had at a club. The employee was very rude and the next day so was the manager. I asked for a corporate phone number and she refused to give it to me. I called down to Joliet and got an email address in which I sent a second email. The first one the manager called me back. She was unwilling to properly train her staff on how to talk to people and basically telling me there’s nothing that she can or will do to resolve the issue. The gym is not clean any way. There’s wet towels on the floor by every machine and no one is walking around cleaning like LA fitness. I would strong recommend anyone that has a membership to cancel it. It’s not about the money. I’ve been treat better at other places. They have no regard for what’s right and wrong.

Wont come back here because y’all claim I owe $100 which doesn’t make sense, since I closed/canceled my last membership I had with y’all over a year ago! A🤦🏼‍♀️ Rather put $100 in LA fitness with better equipment, thanks !

Called to cancel my membership, because I am being charge an annual fee for $39 and when I asked about the annual fee, the girl at the front desk statement because of COVID they had to close and not charge anyone for the services. You shouldnt have been charging anyone if your location was closed. But now there is an annual fee for a $10 dollar a month gym. So when I asked to speak to a general manager they gave me an email address (infozipfitness.com) which you do not know who you are speaking with and they still have not refunded my annual fee after I closed my account with them. I have searched for a corporate number and found nothing and the person on the end of the email will not give me the name of info of the general manager. I am not paying an annual fee to a gym that has very little equipment, no cleaning, no one tells people to keep their masks on and only one out of 10 people who walk in are getting temp checks. Ill just go over to Planet Fitness or LA fitness. But I want my $39 dollars back and will continue to harass them until I get it.

Machines and free weights are available. Place is always clean. Staff are all nice.

This gym is nice. The staff are friendly and always acknowledge when you come in and leave. The place is clean and bright. When there is broken equipment it is handled quickly, never have I gone back the next visit and a piece if equipment still be broken. The womens locker room is clean. Overall, for the price your getting a great gym, great people, and great facility.

Plenty of bikes, elliptical and treadmills, so you can always find one free. They have a couple TVs in front of first row. The also have the usual weight machines and free weights. They dont offer classes. The locker room is really basic no amenities. Im sure its clean but its rundown so it can seem unclean. Bring your own lock!! I also found that there is a slight odor in gym plus they keep it warm. They could use fans or turn up the air for the amount of people in there. All in all good value for access to machines.

Although its still a pandemic, and limited activity. The staff is disengage and dont respond to the patrons. Really not sure why they are being paid.

I started a membership, and right after, I took a job that resulted in a cross country move. I tried to cancel my membership over the phone and email. I honestly didn’t even realize I was still getting charged for my membership until recently. I called again today. Apparently, the only way you can cancel is “in person.” I told them I can’t cancel in person because I’m across the country and was told I had to send a handwritten note with just my name and phone number on it stating I want to cancel. SERIOUSLY? A phone call doesn’t work? You won’t take an email or a scanned letter? You can sign up in 5 minutes online, but they purposefully make it challenging to cancel. I will be reporting them to my bank if this doesn’t work. Absolutely ridiculous and shady feeling. A terrible customer service experience.

Any fitness is a good place to be. You will never catch me bashing a gym unless the staff is just plain mean and not for the customer. I find being truthful and holding back personal opinion is best review. Just be honest ppl....😁

Has a lot of equipment for the price you pay. $12.99 for a basic membership, plenty of dumbbells, machines, treadmills and more. Staff is friendly. No basketball court or pool, has a tanning booth. Locker rooms with showers. Offers personal training.

This place is falling apart machines are always broken. I haven’t seen a machine get totally repaired in the whole time my husband and I have been members. Treadmills just stop suddenly while running and nobody cares? The few stair masters that work always get taken quick. Only saving grace is I have made some friends here and it’s fun working out with a partner or 2. But it’s easy to find a new gym if nothing works and management doesn’t care.

Now (update):my last time there, about a week or two ago, I noticed more machines were missing handle grips, and there was no soap in the bathroom and the sanitation wipe buckets in some areas were empty.Customer service is still superb. I had dropped my phone and someone returned it to the rep at the counter so I got it back.I was debating on cancelling my membership -but I did. Maybe Ill come back after covid is over and if someone mentions that machines have been fixed.6years ago:its good hey its a low price for a clean and maintained gym that has friendly staff what more can u ask for when the gym is affordable

I have a membership here and it is a pretty good place to work out. I generally dont wait too long to use the machines and the staff is friendly. The only downside is the location on Green Bay Road. It can be very hard to pull into and leave the parking lot due to traffic. It might not sound like a big deal, but after a while you will realize you are wasting a lot of time waiting for breaks in traffic.

Came in to get some information about memberships since Im thinking about switching gyms. The kid I talked to was on his phone, watching a sad movie (as he stated), and just pulls out a price sheet on memberships. If youre going to sell someone a membership at least make an effort to do so. Didnt bother to give me a tour of the gym (since I had to do it myself) and the place looked dirty especially the bathrooms. Maybe the other Zip Fitness locations will be better.

Generally speaking its a good place to workout.. staff is friendly & everyone just seems pretty focused on bettering themselves

Is not as full as other gyms in the area. Youll be able to find cardio machines always available. The only bad thing is that the employees dont do nothing else than being on their phones and checking in people. I have never seen them, pick up weights, clean machines or do anything productive.

Its smaller than it looks, for the price its fair ($13). People seem to forget common courtesy and leave garbage and dont place the dumbbells back in place. Not bad for a simple workout.

I use this place often. Some of the machines are getting worn and do not work. They need to replace some of there treadmills and ellipticals. Also, the WIFI is unreliable.

I would have gave 1 star but it gets 2 for the low cost. There are never enough clips for the weights, and the equipment is never put back correctly. I think its silly there are only two benches and one free weight squat rack.You will usuall end up spending a lot more time working out then you need to because you will be waiting to get on certain equipment. This gym is better suited for your amateur lifter or someone interested purely in cardio machines.

Been a member for awhile, but youre definitely on your own when coming here! Ask anyone at the front desk for even the tiniest bit of assistance (No, I dont mean training or workout advice...just simple stuff like how to adjust a seat) and they look at you like youre crazy. Im really confused what the staff does here, besides play on their cell phones. If you need help, find a friend and take them with you!

For the price of $13 a month, its a decent gym. The Round Lake location is much nicer though. You get what you pay for really...the clientele at this location is bad. No one cleans anything and weights NEVER get put back. Dont expect to be able to use dumb bells at this place unless you come during very off peak times. They have 4 water fountains but only 2 of them work. The bathrooms smell bad and are never clean.Besides that, you cant beat the price. They also have many cardio machines and you can almost always get on what you want.

Great Gym But Small Space To Do Body Weight Workouts

Membership is affordable. There are plenty of cardio and weight machines. And there are also enough free weights to get your lift on. Its not busy in the morning but you can still get a good workout in at night when its packed. The locker rooms are clean and there are showers. Dont forget to bring some headphones and your own music, the toons they play are not for everybody.

This gym is ok as I only go on days where I can workout later during the day. In all honesty, do not expect much. Personnel do not leave the front desk area so plates and dumbbells may be all over the floor. Lots of cardio equipment but very limited on weight machines and no classes. If base gyms extend there hours I would definitely cancel my membership.

I dont even go to the gym here, every Friday and Saturday night around 10pm we get together with car friends. All the Hondas are pretty cool but my boosted RSX reigns above all.

As a zip fitness it offers less than other zips but still has plenty of machines to lift and do cardio. It advertises free WiFi but the WiFi rarely ever works. For the price though its an okay gym

I am only here to say that there has been a bad experience with the people who work there ... my brother canceled his membership approximately 6 months ago. and without his authorization, and they were automatically withdrawing money from his credit card was not fair because he was talking to the manager and told him they would not return anything. for me they were basically robbing him because he never authorized the payments.
