It was truly a joy buying a bike helmet at Fox River Sports. Kim was beyond helpful, genuinely concerned about making sure I found just the right size and style for my needs. He even demonstrated a few things so I had a better understanding of his products. The location is a little out of my way, but it is now the ONLY place Ill go for all my bike needs. This mans obvious knowledge base and his love of biking was inspiring.

Had some extra time so I stopped in. I asked Kim (the owner) to introduce me to the sport of biking. He gave me a bit of a crash course of the sort of gear and things that modern biking is about. Had a very informative experience, and got to try out what an electric assist bike feels like. Very good and personal experience.

Took my bike in for some routine maintenance. The work was great, price was right, and the owner is super friendly. The best part is that they clearly care about the community and give back.

I brought my bike in to get a tired fixed a few weeks ago, and it was ready in about 90 minutes and for less than I was thinking. There was an issue with the credit card reader when I was there, so I came back in the next day to pay again (not a big deal) and spent 15-20 minutes chatting with the owner. Its fun seeing someone who is truly doing what they love; he was showing me all kinds of items in the store, including their e-bikes and telling me about improvements they want to make to the shop. It wasnt a sales pitch, it was just a man who loves bikes and his business. Seeing that kind of enthusiasm is a blast.

Got a flat during my ride, called fox river sports and the owner said come on over. 15 minutes after I walked in I was back riding. The owner provide quick and very friendly service

Went in for a new wheel quick release. They had one that was missing the spring, which I still had from my broken one, so they sold it to me at a discount. Quick and easy service.

I was in this Business approximately 1 month ago to get a valve stem. The person who was behind the counter( I assume the owner ) was by far the rudest person I have met in my life. He refused to help because I did not buy my bike from him. I was in complete disbelief that someone who ran a business would treat a customer that horribly. In talking with other people, they have had the same experience with that shop. 1 star is WAY to much for this review.
