Hello, we wanted to share our wonderful experience with Lechners - we met with Jim back in December and wanted a custom bar top for our rec room. We were doing an antique vibe to pay tribute to my great grandparents who were tavern owners during prohibition, and we were very particular about wanting a flip top, a chicago bar rail, a certain color of stain / type of wood, and various other aspects of our design. Jim made some really great recommendations as we discussed the design elements. We had found two fluted corner pieces at the Habitat for Humanity Store but needed three, and Jim offered to create the 3rd one to match. He also gave us some solid construction ideas (since this whole things was slightly beyond our skill set!) and in addition to the bar top, brought over the matching fluted corner piece (you cant even tell the difference, in fact I think his is better), the 1 x 8 that goes at the bottom for the brass foot rail, two 4 x 8 sheets of plywood, and some shoe - all stained in our Cinnamon Cherry color as we wanted. The stain finish looks so nice and professional with the high luster we wanted (would love to know how I can do THIS at home). As for the bar top itself, I couldnt have asked for a more beautiful professional wonderful looking finished product!! All done at a reasonable price within a reasonable amount of time (all with COVID going on). Everything was also installed in about 2 hours time. Jim was always on time, and kept us updated too - even when weather or other factors changed his schedule around a bit, he took time out to let us know what was going on. All in wait time was about 6 weeks from start to finish - certainly a reasonable amount of time to wait for such a beautiful finished product. I am posting a few pics now and will post a few more when we get the rest of it done. WOW is all I can say, but especially THANK YOU!!
