Super cool local store. More underground music than anything lot of older stuff but great selection at that.

Not open during the hours posted online showef up at 6 pm on Wednesday afternoon and no one was there and no one answered the phone

You will not find a cooler person or store to purchase music from. Mike also supports local musicians and talent. Hes one of the nicest guys Ive ever met, and runs a business that is a treasued Jewel in downtown Wausau!!

For those music lovers, this place magical.Bought a couple of cds and notice tgis chris cornell poster just laying there, so i took it and ask the owner if he wanted to sell it, the guy told me that i could have it, that made my day. Definitely coming back

Underground always in stock. I come here every time I visit from Louisiana. This shop always has underground metal that no one else has. Always worth it!

Ive patroned Mike at Inner Sleeve since the late 70s. Hes always friendly, very knowledgeable about new and old releases, and ready to strike up a conversation about whatever you want (music, weather, sports, whatever!...) The selection is outstanding in all music genres. And if he doesnt have it, and its still in print, hell get it for you! Vinyl has always been his specialty, and I love his standard policy of giving you an anti-static sleeve to protect your new purchase (better than the industry does!), hence the name of the store, I suppose! The selection of 180g vinyl is expanding as that popularity is growing. The selection of CDs is outstanding, and as the big boxes announce their discontinuation, this is something to cherish! The prices are great with the added tax always considered (Mike doesnt deal with pocket change)!

Mike, at Inner Sleeve Records is a must visit if you want to experience historic Downtown Wausau. He has had a shop downtown since before I was born.He tends to remember your name and the bands that you like.And hell order anything that he can find for you if you desire.I refuse to buy cds/records anywhere else. Also a great place to find cds of local artists.

For years i have been going to the inner sleeve, and not once has it been a let down. if the inner sleeve doesnt have what you are looking for then he can order and it will get there in a timely manner. He also has a nack for ordering great underground metal.
