Buyer Beware! This companys poor customer service had finally lead me to write a review. I have been purchasing propane from Dillavou Oil Waverly Iowa for the past eight years. Every summer they would come and fill my tank at the summer fill rates and provide me the contract for next years prices. I assumed because they filled me at the summer contract rate thatmy winter fill would be under contract for 1400 gallons. On Feb 21,2014 I called to let them know that they let my tank run empty(for the third time). They said they would come out and fill my tank for $2.80 a gallon which is not my contract rate. When asked why I was paying the higher rate they replied that I did not have a signed contract and therefore would be paying the higher rate. So I told them that would be fine and to come out and provide me with 100 gallons tonight and that this would be the last fillas I was terminating my relationship with Dillavou oil. The owner then told me the following well why dont you find someone else to fill your tank then. Its 15 degrees F outside and I have no heat until Monday because no one can fill me until I get a contract with them, whichcan not be done until after the weekend. I have a wife and a child who now must suffer in the cold because the arrogance of one miserable soul. I hope he can sleep well at night knowing what he is doing to my family. Dont let this happen to you!Boycott Dillavou oil!

Dillavou Oil is above and beyond one of the top notch companies in the Waverly area. They always go above an beyond what any other fuel supply company. Never have had any problems with my contract. If you sign and pay the contract fee, seems everything would be alright!?! I will always stay a loyal customer of Dillavou Oil!
