Do NOT ever ever use Wimsatt. I had a new roof and all my siding from Wimsatt. Cost several thousand dollars. After all the work was completed I called to see about shutters. Sure come on in I was told. I went in and the salesman told me “shutters are a sore subject” told me to come back in six months. Now I was in no hurry for them so you would think the guy would say there’s a six month back order if you want to order them you’ll have to wait. Nope told me to go away. So I messaged Wimsatt and got a hold of Ben Cornett. Very helpful and apologetic. Told me to contact Al DeChene, Sales Manager. He’s a great person I was told and will take care of me. I called Al. Of course he was busy and I left a message explaining to the person that answered the phone my situation and she said he will call me back. Well l it’s been like three weeks within any kind of response. So again Wimsatt you are pathetic.

My experience has been a very positive one. Working with Caleb and his team that is accommodating and sensitive to our company’s needs. What a concept! Their professionalism shows in management, quality and customer service. Keep up the great work Caleb !! You rock.!

Wimsatt prides themselves with being clean and professional. I deliver shingles here occasionally. They are fairly busy so their unload times are slightly longer then their other locations typically are, but seldom much over one hour. Over all a very nice place to deliver.

My husband is a truck driver and had a delivery here for this morning. I must say Im appalled at the customer service. He had pulled forward to the gate and when grabbing his paperwork was told to turn around as he would be unloaded in the parking lot. Then another worker comes to tell him that he would have to pull around the building but needed to wait. As we were waiting another truck pulled up and they began unloading him even though we had arrived first. There seemed to be a lack of concern; because as a truck driver time is precious, and the fact we were just overlooked ruined the entire experience.

Had all the boards I needed. Salesman great. Could be a little clearer where to pick up behind building. The guy that loaded them said dont worry they wont shift. Drove really slow, had to stop and tie down load.

Matt and Jon delivered my roofing material and had it all set up for the roofers to get started!

Terrible customer service, i keep giving them chances but they have obscenely horrible customer service. They are more expensive than bug bix stores with comparable materials and once they have your money they dont help you at all units you are purchasing something else. The only benefit is that they carry high quality stuff in stock that you would need to special order at the big box stores but like I said if youre not an absolute rush it is much much cheaper to order at the big box stores. My familys been dealing with them for over 25 years. Unless you become great friends with one or a few of them or stop in every few days then they treat you like a new customer every time. They practically make you restock the item yourself but they will still take a restocking fee.

As a contractor I prefer wimsatt over other suppliers. Great staff always willing to help answer questions and facilitate product deliveries with short notice.

My Grandfather believed in patronizing/supporting local neighborhood businesses. I have tried to respect those prudent words of advice for nearly 30 years...but after 3 MONTHS--I am still waiting for my PAID IN FULL order from our local Wimsatt. Ive been given the runaround, told I hadnt really placed an order when I came to pick-up and pay for said order, given 3 subsequent pick-up dates; the last date being September 18, 2020 printed on my PAID receipt; along with a promised call from Wimsatt when my order arrives. Each of the pick-up dates are expired. I have received no call/text/VM/communication from anyone at Wimsatt. My son may continue to do business with Wimsatt. I will go to another company for my next projects--residing my home and renovating my entire second floor.

Needed Trex Railing for Trex installed deck. Called Wimsatt and Jordan Compasono answered. Asked if he could come out and quote railing because deck was irregular in shape. Took him 4days to set a visit date/time. He kept saying he needed to check his schedule for days.Came out and quoted job. He had a conformation to proceed within 24hrs. Order took week to come. But order was incomplete or wrong in what was ordered.Purchased (4) post cap lights.No transformer or wiring was ordered.Deck has (2) 2ft 45 degree corners.Jordan ordered hardware for only 1.Deck has (2) staircases.Again, Jordan ordered hardware for only 1.Delay in waiting for hardware cost me 3 days. And caused me to juggle other projects.Cant speak for all Wimsatt employees, but, AVOID JORDAN!I will never use them again!

Called June 4th to order trusses on a project was told he would get back with me. Never heard back called him back the following day I told him I wanted the trusses. Contacted him Monday June 8th to give him the money unbeknownst to me he had not even placed the order yet. When I was expressing my feelings about this to the guy that was taking my money he basically could care less. So here we set, June 15th no work, they tell me the trusses shoul be ready by the 19th.

My man comes here he is a roofer, he buys his materials here because they always have everything he needs for the job, only downside is they tend to always forget a iteam on the order, but will always supply you with it once youve reminded them.

Purchased shingles for our home only to discover that they were at least 4 years old or more depending on the code that only they can read. Received a long hearty laugh from the jackass whose job it is to determine customer satisfaction. I have nearly 30 years in the building trades and I can tell you this is an organization that could give a rats rectum as to the quality of the product they unload on you. My shingles according to the manufacturer were not only waterlogged, warped, and dirty, but contained moss which is nearly impossible to eliminate once infested. And yes they were stored outside for the entire 4+ years totally unprotected.and also out of warranty.Take the advice from someone I met who works with them regularly, PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD, AND BE PREPARED TO FILE A DISPUTE. And if and when you do file your dispute, ask for the customer service manager and let go with a long hearty laugh I assure you hell know what it means.
