I’ve been to a million Mexican Restaurants…. Even recently went to one in Philly that appeared (on social media) to be one of the best Philly had to offer…. NOT ONE COMPARES TO GUACAMOLE IN WAYNE. This was by far the best Mexican food I’ve had. The sauces were to die for. My wife got her usual carnitas tacos and I got the steak taco enchilada along with nachos. The nachos were layers of refried beans, cheddar cheese, pico, and crisp nachos cooked to perfection. The enchilada was 3 tacos smothered with the best mild green sauce I’ve ever had in a Mexican restaurant along side yellow rice topped with sour cream and shredded lettuce. Nothing really out of the ordinary but what blew me away was the fact that is was so good. Perfect! Me and my wife stared at one another as we sat outdoor seating today in kind of a shock because we didn’t know they were here for 2 and a half years. Service was absolutely great the counter woman was awesome and had no problem being patient with us while we order and even explaining what things were. The cook came out after the food was done and made sure if we needed anything else. These people are really nice with great food…. Highly recommended.
Let me start by saying my husband LOVES Mexican and I like it a lot, never love...until now!!! Weve eaten at tons of places. Would I have died for Mexican food previously? No. But after coming here this food is TO DIE FOR!!!! Everything we ate was so fresh...the sauces are all freshly made, the guacamole and salsa were amazing, the dishes were like no other Ive had at a Mexican food place. I am not one to rave about a lot of things, but this restaurant is PHENOMENAL. The owner is so sweet and owns such a great place that we will definitely be coming back to. The restaurant also is tastefully colorful with hand painted art and we just had the most amazing experience here. Cant wait to go back!!
I found this hole in the wall while house shopping. As we were being sat we observed all the delicious looking plates coming out of the kitchen of which the savory smell trespassed our masks (Covid times). Needless to say my husband and I ordered with our eyes. While we tried our best to finish all of our meals (yes we ordered food for like 5 people) we couldn’t because they serve an abundance of yummy food. Since then we have come back several times and brought family along. We’ve tried a lot of dishes in the menu and they have all been satisfying. All of their dishes are 100 percent filled with flavor, freshness, and memories because the owner always comes and greets you as if you been customers for decades. We don’t have many pictures because we like to enjoy our food and not waste time. Also their hot sauce is amazing.
Not a lot to add to several of the recent excellent reviews. Last night was our first time trying a family meal from Guacamole and it surpassed all of our expectations. Fresh, delicious, abundant amount of food, and super quick and efficient. We have tried every place in Bergen County and this beat them all. After living here 23 years, we finally find a new favorite Mexican restaurant!
One of my favorite places to eat in town. Food is consistently delicious, have never been disappointed! The service is top notch. And the owners are the nicest people Ive ever met. They go out of their way to make sure our dining experience from top to bottom is the best it can be. Truly, they are the reason we keep coming back. We just had the restaurant cater a party this past weekend in town. Great food, wonderful team to work with and very helpful to address any issues with expectations on our order even coming to the house to help out! This was our first experience with Guacamole but the food was delicious and certainly look forward to visiting again and arranging for a future party
What a find! This is a small, basic, seriously authentic Mexican restaurant. Its owner is a third generation Mexican chef using his familys handed down recipes. Everything, literally everything, is made from scratch. The food we had was amazing. We werent too hungry so we got a lighter meal. You cant go to a restaurant called Guacamole without having guacamole. Yes, it was every bit as good as you might imagine. Creamy, gently but perfectly flavoured. And the tortilla chips, clearly made on the premises, were probably the nicest chips I have had. Main course of Flautas, a cigerello shaped crispy tortilla wrapped around chicken, bathed in salad. The restaurant served two home made relishes. One was medium spicy and packed with flavour. The other was very hot for those who like that sort of thing. We finished with caramel filled Churros. This must have been my favourite Churros of all time. Even the sugar/cinnamon dusting was clearly home made from original product. The flavour exploded in my mouth as the hot, gooey caramel oozed from its centre. The restaurant itself may be basic, but the food is outstandingly delicious. And the service is about as friendly as you will get anywhere. I expect young kids would enjoy this every bit as much as their parents.
With every visit, every meal time, Guacamole never fails to give an experience through their service. This review is long overdue. They are absolutely exceptional with customer service. Now let’s get to the most important part, the food. Their food is so delicious and as a long time customer I see nothing but constant improvements with every meal. That to me is the most important aspect of a business, it clear they strive to improve. I tell everyone I know about this place and they have become regular customers as well. Authentic, tasty and delicious. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. What more could you possibly ask for?
Have been coming here since they opened. Tried almost everything off the menu. From tinga tacos, to a chorizo chimichanga. The food is great, always hot and full of flavor and made with love. They’re sauces are to die for. La familia is by far my favorite. It’s a family own restaurant which is another reason to love this place, very welcoming and they take care of you like you’re family. I love love love this place.
The. Best. Food. Period. My husband and I order from here all the time and the food never disappoints. Everything is always fresh and delicious, especially the tacos al pastor. And their churros!!! Prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. After ordering once, it instantly became our go-to Mexican place.
I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this place; I wish I could give more stars. The store is pristine, from the counters to the bathrooms. The owners are a sweet, friendly family, very attentive to their customers, and so personable. Walking through the door feels like coming to a friends house for dinner. The food is very reasonably priced considering the enormous portions and quality and freshness of the ingredients. Never tried anything that wasnt delicious, love the enchiladas and tamales especially. If you like traditional Mexican, do yourself a favor and give this place a try.
This place is legit. I lived for years in San Diego and this place does it right. The food is EXCELLENT. The staff is ALL FRIENDLY AND SWEET. The cooks do a phenomenal job. Prices are decent, and def don’t mind paying the premium price for quality. Thumbs up all around. Love love love this place.

The salsa and guacamole were amazing and so flavorful, but the beef and chicken entrees left us wanting for more flavor and fell short of our expectations based on previous reviews. Maybe it was an off night, but it was expensive and we had high hopes of wanting to be wowed from reading previous reviews.

Theres nothing not to like about this place. Great food and very friendly and attentive owners. I think they make the best guacamole of all the Mexican restaurants nearby. But today they knocked my socks off! We ordered plain nachos with a scoop of guacamole on the side. They gave us a portion that filled a small catering pan! As soon as I saw that, I wondered if they made a mistake and charged me for a catering order so I checked my bank account online, and sure enough, they had only charged me for what I ordered ($8 + $3 for the scoop of guac.) I called to see if they had made some kind of mistake with the portion, and they told me thats their standard portion size. It was enough to feed 4 hungry people! Ive always noticed that their portions are generous, but this was ridiculous (in a good way.)
Been driving past this place for months finally decided to stop in and Im impressed! Very authentic tasting, fresh, delicious! Ill be coming back for sure.

We had been wanting to try Guacamole 🥑 for some time & finally did this evening. Wow! DELICIOUS food for sure! My son ordered the chicken quesadilla & said it was the best he had ever had. I had the carnitas burrito & could only eat half, because it was sooooo BIG! The first bite was a burst of deliciousness.....made fresh for sure! Will definitely return again soon! I even had a chance to speak with the owner & not only felt welcomed, but learned a bit about how their business got started. I would recommend Guacamole for an authentic tasting experience. You won’t regret it!

What an amazing food and service provided by Guacamole! We ordered Chimichanga, Burrito and Veggie Fajitas. Everything was super delicious. There was a confusion on one of the dish after I picked up an order(totally my fault) owners offered me a refund or redo my dish. Very welcoming and friendly people. I will definitely go again and will highly recommend this place. God bless you guys.

I had a small gathering catered for a going away party. In attendance were many who were leery about social distancing during this uncertain time. Getting it all catered from Guacamole was the best possible decision we could have made. Tamara and Jamie worked with us to make everyone comfortable. They individually wrapped each taco and burrito! Each guest was able to take what they wanted without worry. We ordered a huge fajita salad which one person served to all guests to avoid many hands on the utensils. It was the same with the delicious guacamole and salsa with one of us doling it out. They also provided us with individually packed sauces. It was perfect! As a bonus, it was all delivered worry-free! The food was fabulous, and my guests raved all day. I highly recommend Guacamole for a party! Delicious!
THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD!!!!! I am always impressed by everything this restaurant does. Not only is the food amazing, the owners are the nicest people who treat you like family. Large portions and the food is ALWAYS fresh. You can even get breakfast/brunch here!!!!! They make delicious omelettes and breakfast wraps that you must try!!!
How could I survive without Guacamole!?! Thankfully I work within the same plaza! I love how convenient and accommodating they are with my tight and hectic schedule, as well as my dietary needs. We ordered delivery from Guacamole for the first time last night. OMG, the food was absolutely delicious!!! We had the steak & chicken fajitas and the chorizo quesadillas. Both were super fresh, so much flavor and huge portions. We cant wait to order from them again!

I purchased a tray of empanadas for a 4th if July party, and the owner provided the perfect recommendation based on the number of attendees. Guests loved the cheese and beef best, with the chicken being loved by those who like spice! Cooked to perfection and great customer service.

Not sure what these other folks were eating but this place is not good at all. No flavor at all and the people saying this is the best Mexican arent really up on Mexican food. They charge you to add anything its better to go to Hacienda in Paterson, Panchos Burritos in New Milford or Bro-Rittos in Hackensack. Ate here twice and both times disappointed.
What a pleasant surprise! A real authentic Mexican restaurant has come to within walking distance of my home. Delicious - really delicious - food, wonderful decor, reasonable prices, and Tamara was a delight.Not just recommended, but highly recommended!

This place is amazing and the staff is great. We were driving around trying to find a place to eat because we were going through a power outage in our town. Driving around, we found this place. It had already closed 30 minutes prior to us arriving. When I called to check if they were open, the lady told us, we closed 30 minutes ago but your outside so come in and well make you guys something and they sure did. I had chicken tacos, my son had the cuban torta a la milanesa and my husband had the carnitas chimichangas and everything was delicious. Will definitely eat at this place again.

A great cozy spot! Food was delicious, I had the salad with the shrimp (I forgot the name) and my child had the kids quesadilla with fries. Everything was very fresh and yummy. We will be back. Oh, and the salads have spinach, not just plain lettuce!

First time ordering from this place and it was just OK. Didn’t get that authentic Mexican food feel that I was craving. I ordered an al pastor burrito with pineapples but i received my burrito without any pineapples. Delivery was pretty fast.

First time purchasing : Ordered burritos & not great, the red salsa on them was like soup, burritos aren’t suppose to have red sauce on them, just wasn’t authentic Mexican like there is in other places ., my stomach hurts and the other person I went with after eating it .
