I used Valley Pool & Spa for a Merlin replacement liner for our in-ground 36x18 pool. Valley Pool & Spa built the pool in 2004, and the original liner lasted that long!The price was fair, and the installation team (Brian and Travis) had decades of experience between them. Watching them work was like watching a dance. They showed up on site at 8:30 a.m., and by 11:30 a.m., the old liner was out, minor repairs to my walls and floor were completed, the new liner was fully installed with vacuums running, and the water was going in. Total job was done in only THREE hours, and my liner is wrinkle-free and stunning!As others have mentioned, the manager of liner crews (Ill withhold his name) is not the quickest to respond to calls or texts. I have no idea why. What I found that works is to call AND text multiple times, and eventually youll get on his radar. Once you do, hes easy to work with.Its really a tough situation when leaving a review, because Brian and Travis were fantastic, and the liner was installed at a fair price and very professionally.If the communications were just more timely and responsive, there would be many more 4- and 5-star reviews for Valley Pool & Spa. Their executive management needs to have a heart-to-heart with their managers, especially in their service group, and keep on them for timeliness with customer communications. If they did that, this place would shine a lot brighter on Google than they presently are.

Amazing service from sale to install on our Sundance spa. Honest, knowledgeable, thorough and kind. Could not have had a better experience and will never go anywhere else! Truly a great, family run company with happy employees who take great pride in what they do!!

They are usually great to deal with. They get 2 stars from me because Ive tried calling for weeks and left messages for someone to call me back about pool liner replacement. Of course nobody calls back. Ill take my business elsewhere.

I gave them 2 stars because the team that comes out weekly are always friendly and helpful. If I was just rating Valley Service Dept. specifically it would be a much lower rating.The Service Dept. Mgr. is very informative when I inquired about options but, once he had that service contract signed and deposit paid, good luck contacting him or hearing from him again. Multiple email (both online form & direct email) were not responded to and a call into the Service Dept. first tells you they’re too busy to take the call and to leave a message but, when you try to leave a message, it says they’re too busy and not recording messages!I guess if you just want to buy something for your existing pool then their retail section is well stocked but - other than the young men who actually come onsite to service your pool - good luck even trying to interact with the “Service” Dept itself.

We got our hot tub here and the overall experience was great. Everyone was extremely helpful from day 1. They helped set up things with an electrician and they walked us through every step of the process. Communication was easy and the process overall went so smoothly. I would highly recommend Valley Pool & Spa to anyone looking for a pool/spa.

We originally called to have help opening the pool and getting the heater started. When the service people came the first time, the pool heater, which had turned on but not heated, possibly because water wasnt yet flowing, prior to their visit, quit working entirely as they were fiddling with something. It now wont even turn on. The gentleman who had been working on the heater looked a little embarrassed and said that he had apparently shorted out the heater and he wasnt sure what had happened or why.He promised someone else would return again who knew more than he did, which did happen after a week or two. The new gentleman looked into the heater again and told us we would have to purchase a new heater. In fairness, they did find a mouse nest inside the heater, which probably contributed to the problem. Nonetheless, it worked before they came and stopped working while they were working inside it and never worked again after they left.In addition to this, during the second visit the service man took a sharpie and labeled the various pipes and also put pool shock into the pool. I dont recall if they used our pool shock or they brought their own. I believe they used ours, but I cant verify this for sure so perhaps I cant protest too hard at the charge of $30 for three bags of pool shock.I also spoke with Stan over the phone for about half an hour a couple of weeks later. He was helpful and informative, though he didnt tell me that the call was billable service time. I was charged $40 for the phone call.So, for the service of disabling a pool heater, having someone return because the first crew was not competent for the task, shocking our pool, labeling pipes, and half an hour of advice, we are now billed $315.33. I give two stars because I was given some good (though expensive) information by Stan. I am unimpressed.

Needed a hole patched... 3 calls, left three messages and even went by - said they would call me back... nothing! not even a call back. Fixed the hole myself. if you cant service what you sell, then you dont need anyones business.

The previous owners of our home used Valley so we decided to try them out. After 1 year its been nothing but a headache. Be aware you will be charged for time they sit in a van. (Winterizing the pool took them 15 min max, but they sat in the van for 30 minutes so I was charged for 45) Stan is condescending and does not hold his employees to account. They forgot they had our old cover and then charged us for an extra day of work because they had to go back to get our cover. The technicians showed up smoking a couple of occasions. No hellos or goodbyes, completely unfriendly. It took them 5 months to get a replacement cover for our pool. When spending $$$$ on a cover you would hope to get better service and treatment, but that was not the case a Valley Pool & Spa.

Appreciate Valley Pools efforts to help fix some problems with a custom order wood spa. The technician was helpful and fixed a long term problem that had been complicated by another Spa companies poor service. Would recommend Valley Pool.

Our experience with Valley Pool has been nothing but top notch, from our first contact with Jeff Organ about purchasing a hot tub to Valley installing a beautiful fiber-glass, in-ground Viking pool. Everything from Jimmys (sales rep. for in-ground pools) visits to our home to Matt (project manager) who made it happen, to Travis, and Angel who installed and made our experience nothing but perfect! I also have an original waterfall that Angel designed and he and Travis built. Jeff, the owner of Valley Pool, was also involved in making this an excellent experience. Highly recommend this company and would go nowhere else to have a pool installed.

We went down to argue a bill that said their workers vacuumed the pool 4 * and or cleaned it. But the workers never vacuumed the pool but still logged it in there book. Dont trust the crackhead workers at Valley pool. Or the management

I am writing this review 11 months after purchasing my new Sundance spa from Valley Pool and Spa and specifically from Fred Coyner. When I was researching spas and dealers before my purchase, I found it really difficult to find out what I needed to know to make a wise decision about the spa manufacturer and the dealer who sells them. First, researching spas on line will cause you to be genuinely concerned that absolutely no one makes a high quality and reasonable priced spa. All you read about is peoples bad experiences. This caused me to acknowledge that whatever spa I purchased, there might be problems. So, I had better have a good dealer to rely on. I had a new spa back in 2006 at a different vacation home I the Outer Banks and I can tell you the technology has changed as have the prices. However our Sundance spa purchased for our home in Wintergreen has been a great decision as has the one to purchase from Fred at Valley. The spa has the newest systems to clean the water making maintenance easy to do myself even though this is a vacation home and I live four hours away. Also, the phone app keeps me in the know about the spa so that I can be aware most importantly of something like a power outage, but also failings of my adult children or guests to remember to be diligent to maintain the spa such as adjust the temperature when not is use, etc. We love being able to have the spa ready tp use upon our arrival or our guests. I have had zero service needs this first year, though I have had one service call to switch the direction of the cover lift as we failed to make the best decision as to its location at the time of install, which was completely our fault. Install was completed within the promised time and went smoothly even though the location was challenging and required an electrician, which by the way Valley Spa handled perfectly as well. Fred Coyner at Valley Spa is extremely knowledgable and professional. I know the real test of my spa ownership experience is a few years out, when I am out of warranty and something breaks in the middle of a cold snap with guests using our house! At this point I believe Fred and the staff at Valley will be as reliable as they have been thus far and Im confident I made a wise purchase with the brand and the dealer.

General manager, David, called re. our difficulty in getting return calls and a resolution to our spa issue. He apologized and offered to assist us further. We were able to come to an agreement on how to resolve the concern. I will change my original star rating from a 1 to a 4.

This is the best pool place I have ever dealt with. Their service is fast, professional, and courteous. I recently had the motor wear out in our pump. I called and they sent someone the next day and the new motor was installed. Also, J in the service department helped me work through the process of converting our pool to chlorine from a special set of pool chemicals (a real money pit prescribed by another company when the pool was built). He made the process easy and everything went flawlessly. Great company to work with!

When Blue Ridge Pools was so rude to us and never bothered to show up or call when I had taken off a 9hr day, and they also do not have any idea what installed means, I called Valley and Dave came out and actually showed up early and did such a great job! He fixed our solar box which Blue Ridge installed which they did not have running right and also told us how to fix the 4 leaking pvc pipes which Blue Ridge installed. Im so grateful for Valley. We will never deal with Blue Ridge Pools in Staunton VA again!! Im sorry we didnt use Valley first.!!

In June 2018 I submitted an online request for information. I immediately received an email from David Boylen. I sent him an email requesting prices for a full pool install with features, etc. Never heard back! Eventually I get a text message from Jimi and I sent him the email I originally sent David. That email was sent on October 4th, almost four months later! Never heard back from Jimi either! If customer service is a direct reflection of their quality of work and customer support, I highly suggest looking elsewhere. As to this day, never heard a word from them.

Slow, disorganized, unprofessional, but friendly. When you leave messages for someone to call you back it may or may not happen. I wish there were another company I could deal with but they are it for this area. It took probably 5 trips to get repair parts identified and replaced, and they still forgot a part that we asked them to replace.
